It looks like the person before me was trying to clean them up, one is in its totally original state, the other has been lightly cleaned, the most obvious evidence of this is in the fourth photo, they really shined up that part, then got some white paint on it, this is the only area of any sort of issue, I think the paint can be removed easily enough- The metal is a silver pewter sort of color. With lightly painted details- The light bulbs would hand on the underside. This needs to be re-wired, I have photographed the original cloth covered wires- The part where you screw in the light bulbs looks really good. Copper parts and it looks like maybe these have been replaced, but not sure they look really clean inside- you will need 2 screws to re-connect the part where it attaches to the ceiling on one of them- each chandelier measures 17" across. 22" hanging- PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. From a local estate. Here is a beautiful older ceiling light fixture. This is painted pot metal and is set up for two bulbs, it measures about 12.75" end to end, about 7" across the middle. Sockets, mounting piece, and finial are intact. Will definitely need to be cleaned and rewired, but a good start, no damage at all. Classic art deco styling, should restore to a showpiece. VINTAGE PAINTED CAST WHITE METAL SIGNED" EMPIRE" FOUR CANDLE CHANDELIER/LIGHT
VINTAGE CAST WHITE METAL SIGNED"EMPIRE" CHANDELIER: This light has a lot of great classical detailing starting with the large bottom finial ringed with acanthus leaves and the lines radiating outward to a second ring of acanthus leaves. There are also large shields on each of the four sides. The painted finish is of a dark pewter color that contrasts nicely with the off white resin candle covers on the four candelabra size candle sockets. The chandelier is 18 1/4" in diameter and is approximately 25" from the bottom finial to the top of the ornate pierced ceiling canopy. The light is marked"EMPIRE PATENT PENDING" in eight places on the inside of the cast body. The four candles can take up to 60 watts each. The chandelier weighs 16 pounds.

This 5 arm chandelier is ornately decorated and the ceiling plate looks very similar to Mutual table lamp bases I've had in the past. Although no makers mark was found on this fixture. This fixture stands about 33" tall and 20" wide. The finish is original and appears worn with age. The bent arms are all intact and may require adjustments to sit level. Looking at the arms, I suspect that atleast one has been slightly bent unward although that may be an illusion. Although usable as is, this might be better suited as an easy restoration. Very heavy and well made. This neat old Arts and Crafts wall sconce shows lots of age and wear and would be well worth restoring, or just remove the socket and place a candle in the brass fixture. The sconce measures 7 1/4" x 3 1/4" and appears to have a cast iron back and brass socket holder. The backing has the appearance of a hammered finish, but I believe it was cast. Very beautiful. These are wonderful art deco sconces with a Victorian look. They are in as-found condition and have newer wiring. Each has a slightly different patina but compliment each other well. There are no switches at the base; there are empty holes. The switches are not needed. They can mounted and used without them. I believe they are made of a mixed metal. This Victorian Art Noveau Welsbach Polychrome Wrought Iron and cast Iron and Cast Metal Chandelier came out of an old house in Southern Virginia. It is all original with the original paint and original wiring. It is very ornate with its wrought iron scrolls and elaborate finials and ceiling plate. It has small flowers of metal at the bends of each scroll. The holders for the bulbs and globes are bell shaped and very ornate with a swirl finale atop each. I can't say enough about this beautiful chandelier. It measures 23" from the top plate to the bottom finial. It is about 22" across from light holder to light holder. The bottom ring is 12" across. This is a very large and heavy item. I had to hang it in a doorway with a rope to get a picture of it hanging. Weight 10.8 lbs. Antique Ceiling Light Fixture 5 Sockets Cast Metal Nice
This is a heavy and well built old antique cast metal light fixture that would mount and hang from one's ceiling. Notice on the round open metal filigree circle there is done in the metal two dragon type figures with scrolling tails. This round circle measures 3 1/2" in diameter. The top ceiling mount measures 4 3/4" diameter. With chain links support the weight of the chandelier fixture. This fixture supports five sockets each socket extending out on it's own individual arm. A very unique feature on this ceiling fixture is that each socket has a decorative bronze type inverted cup like plate that screws on around each socket for an added decorative look. One can remove these decorative rims and then on the inside of each remaining socket there is still three small screws that would allow one to attach to each socket a glass ... moreglobe for a unique and special different look using this same ceiling fixture. One would want to have this fixture rewired as the original wires have some bare places and the heavy bronze type metal could use a cleaning as the fixture is all complete but it does show that it has been stored where there was some moisture as there is minimal rust. This is a beautiful and all original old antique ceiling light fixture that is like having two ceiling fixtures in one with the two options of decorative coverings for the socket covers. Each socket is approximately 3 3/4" wide measuring the bronze cups that are screwed onto the sockets. Just the socket is 2 1/2" diameter and one would need a glass insert that was a smaller diameter than the 2 1/2" if looking for the glass shades, to allow the shade to slide into the socket. Approximate diameter across the light fixture from one socket the opposite socket is about 18 1/2" wide. Set of 3 Victorian antique cast metal sconce lights with a candle design. Has a brass color finish. The shaft that holds the lamp has a melted candle wax effect. Each measures 10 in. long. 4 1/2in. wide, and 5 1/2in. in depth. Each weighs 2 1/2 lbs. Has a little switch in front that turns each one on and off individually. This beautiful Art deco ceiling lamp was manufactured by the Devon Group. A midwestern company, and dates to around 1936. The frame is cast metal, most likely brass, or bronze. The frame has been plated and has a very nice patina, it has a warm pewter tint. The fixture has five molded slip shades, and one central dome shade. Two (2) Antique Vintage Ceiling or Wall Light Fixtures-Cast Metal and Brass
This auction features two(2) very unique antique ceiling or wall light fixtures. Constructed of both brass and cast ferrous metal. The base of the fixtures is brass, which is currently heavily painted over. Oxidized brass can be observed at the edge of the base and at the ceiling holes where the paint has been scratched off. The"canopy" is cast ferrous metal(a magnet is attracted to it) designed to appear like"roping" It, too is heavily painted, so I don't know the color of the underlying metal. The canopy is secured to the base with the large"nut" that also secures the light bulb socket. The light socket on both fixtures is the original Arrow 3134 socket and it visually appears to be in good. Working condition. Short pieces of wire are still connected to the underside of the socket where it was salvaged ... morefrom the ceiling. The socket appears to be constructed of copper and ceramic material. The dimensions of these two fixtures are: Base: 5-1/2" in diameter Cast Metal Canopy: 6" wide at the widest points Overall fixture height: 4-1/2" from the bottom of the base to the top of the canopy. These two fixtures are quite unique-I have not seen any that resemble them. They appear to be in excellent condition. I have not cleaned them. And I am selling them in the same condition as I acquired them. They definitely need to have the years of paint removed from them to return them to their original beauty.
