This lamp was found in an 1800's cottage on lake Ontario in New York with the beautiful globe seen in the photos! Beautiful ornate Victorian cast metal/copper swinging wall sconce. Marked Pat'd June7, 1887. The globe is a soft off white color with floral transfers and some hand painted additions. Simple clear glass oil lamp base-appears newer. Oil lamp in some of the photos has a filling cap- the one for sale is the same but does not have a filling cap. The lamp has long ago been electrified and will need rewiring to current standards. The wall mount/bracket plate is included with the lamp. Measurements: sconce is 12" from wall to exterior holder; The holder part for the oil lamp measures 5 1/2" diameter on each. Globe measures 6 3/4" base diameter; 6" height. Glass chimney(the one included is not original) measures ... more8" height. 2 3/4" base diameter. Antique Cast Iron Double Oil Lamp/Plant Sconce with Wall Bracket
Available for purchase. We have a beautiful antique cast iron sconce. These were used for oil lamps but are also great for hanging plants indoors or out. It has two platforms. The sconce measures 12-1/2" long and is 6-1/4" at its tallest part. The platforms are two different sizes. The larger of the two has an inside diameter of 4-3/4" and the smaller one has an inside diameter of 3-1/2" The wall bracket measures 5-1/2" x 2" at its widest part. The wall bracket is also very beautiful! I am not positive that this is the original bracket to this sconce but they were purchased together and they fit together. You are buying a stunning circa 1880's cast iron oil lamp with 4 arms. Stunning massive piece. Appears to be all original. Does have a few minor flaws. There is an old repair on the one arm, see photo. It is missing one of the decorative pieces see photo. The one glass oil part has a broken off metal lid, see photo and there is a small hairline in the one arm, which doesn't appear to affect its beauty or sturdiness. 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EASTLAKE DESIGN SCULPTURAL CAST IRON OIL LAMP HOLDER WALL SCONCE. 19th century antique Victorian EASTLAKE-DESIGN solid cast iron oil lamp wall sconce holder in very good original condition with very little surface rust and no repairs. No cracks, no chips or dents, and no deep scratches, only minimal abrasion and minimal wear present, solid and heavy with inset relief Eastlake era design pattern(see pics) Charming architectural piece that was meant to cradle and hold an antique oil lamp(see pics) Contains the base and swing arm with attached lower rod that would have fit into a wall bracket-there is no wall bracket present and includes only the arm and base(see pics. Arm is removable and threads back on properly and tightly. Measures approx. Antique/Vtg Cast Iron Oil Lamp Holder Bracket Wall Sconce Eastlake Victorian Offered is a nice Victorian Eastlake style Oil Lamp wall bracket/Holder. Measures about 13-1/2" from wall to outer edge of holder. The flat portion of the inset in the holder(round part) measures a little over 4-3/4" and tapers out a bit further. It has some wear. Some surface rust, and what looks like a very tight stress crack on a small portion of the holder. It works beautifully, swinging from side to side with a hand made wall bracket that will be included. VINTAGE OIL LAMP WITH ORNATE CAST IRON BRACKET and 8" GLASS REFLECTOR
Vintage oil lamp set with lovely pink glass bowl. 8.5" globe, 8" glass reflector, cast iron bracket holder and wall attachment piece. The 8" mercury glass reflector is in fine condition. Bowl and globe together are approximately 12" tall. I do not know the manufacturer or exact age of this piece. It came from a farm in Wisconsin where it had hung for many years in the kitchen.
