Rare 1920's Cast Iron Antique Ceiling Light Fixture Black with Original Paint 4 Light Bare Bulb Lamp w/ Original G E Co Brass Sockets This listing is for a very nice antique light fixture. It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a cast iron fixture which has the original paint in good condition. This fixture is a hard to find fixture and this particular on is free from rust which is very hard to find. Please take a close look at the pictures to see the amazing detail. It comes with the original finial. This lamp has the original 4 brass fat boy sockets as well. They are all General Electric Company sockets. This lamp has been rewired and is tested working. Please note it does not come with the chain this was only used for the pictures. Exact age unknown. We are told the more inclusions of bubbles in the glass the older the piece. This globe is loaded. Really a unique wonderful piece of glass. Hand painted but we think this was done in more recent times. We see the artisan had a few spots of paint outside the lines on the glass. Presented"as found" We see that this is slightly dirty and could use a careful cleaning. No chips or cracks but we do see some fleabites ... moreon the fitter flange. As the glass sits in the base this fixture measures approx. 8 1/2" tall. 4" fitter. The widest part of the glass measures approx. 7 1/4" diameter. The cast iron base measures approx. 6 3/4" diameter x 1 3/4" tall. It has some casting numbers. The glass attaches to the base with three set screws. The center to center mounting holes(base to ceiling) measure 3 1/2" diameter. Please look closely at the photos as the photos are integral to our description and is the best depiction of condition. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique light fixture. This is a large ornate chandelier style fixture. With five lights. Frame is heavy strap steel, ornamental panels are made of cast iron, as are bottom and top fittings. Floral bolt embellishments are pressed steel, ceiling cap and light sockets are brass. It measures 22" in length, excluding ceiling cap and top tubing. It measure 17" in diameter. It is a used fixture, and is in as found condition. It will need to be re-wired for use. It is missing one of the light bulb sockets, swing pendant on bottom, and set screw on ceiling cap. There are two splits in bottom ring of ceiling cap, but it is still very useable. The small flowers at bolts show paint loss. Cast iron parts, and ceiling cap retain good old paint. Fixture is otherwise in good used condition, and should restore ... moreeasily. The iron is quite rusty and the paint is flaking off so it needs to be refurbished and painted. Also missing is some type of shade not sure what it would have been but there are 4- twisted design arms with threads at the ends for the shade to fit to as shown in my pictures. Marked Markel with cast in lettering on back(ME=Markel Electric) Bottom of socket bowl is turn knob on/off switch. New mounting bracket added; original socket and receptacle; needs wiring. A few very tiny paint flecks here and there. Otherwise very nice vintage condition as shown in photos. Includes the clip on fiberglass shade shown which was with the sconce when it was purchase at an estate sale.Shade has one tiny dark spot, no punctures, all edge lace is good, no breaks. Back plate alone is 7” top to bottom; edge of cast iron socket bowl sticks out about 3½” from wall.

Vintage Gothic Revival Arts & Crafts Slag Glass Cast Iron Porch Light Fixture
International bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding for a shipping estimate! Up for sale is a Vintage Cast Iron Slag Glass Gothic Arts& Crafts Mission Porch Light Fixture. This fixture has a great revival look. features removable slag glass panels. They were originally installed via 2 L-brackets. So that they could slide in. Now, the bottom brackets are still there, but the top brackets have eroded away, or they were possibly cut out so that the glass could be removed. This is all the original glass that came with the fixture. The only way I could figure out how to properly hold the glass in, was to use velcro on the top side. Believe it or not, it works pretty well! I took a photo showing the little velcro tabs. Obviously you could remove those tabs if you wanted to use a different method. The glass panels will be removing during ... moreshipping. Otherwise. The glass is free of any chips or cracks. The fixture is very old and vintage, and has a few areas that are weathered& have small splits(near the bottom finial part) The paint isn't in the best condition but has the weathered appeal. The base is cast iron; the other part of the fixture(the fram part where the glass goes) is not cast iron, it's some sort of painted metal. The entire fixture is heavy and solid, weighing in at about 5 ounds. The fixture has a new porcelain socket& brand new wiring. It's in excellent workding condition! The entire fixture measures 12" long by approximately 6" wide. The glass has a green swirl design but when lit. It almost looks yellow. You could keep this beautiful glass or replace it with clear panels. There is no mounting hardware or bulb included in the auction. This would look great on the porch of an arts& crafts bungalow. Beautiful early 1900s cast iron Gothic/Mission style 5 light chandelier. Perfect for putting that original touch on a home renovation. It's got beautiful colors and a shield/knight look to it. It was solid black when I picked this up at the estate. I gave it a quick wash and a lot of dirt and grime came off. I think with a good power wash it would clean up beautifully and look brand new! It measures 19" across at the widest points. This is a rare and unique wall mounted light fixture. All hardware is included. The light hangs from a metal(cast iron? rod. And can swivel back and forth. The wiring. In my uneducated opinion, will need to be, at the minimum, repaired, and possibly replaced. Where the metal rod comes down, there is exposed cloth wiring about 4 inches in length where there should not be any. The total drop length of the light is 25" The wiring is of the cloth type and in places is very frayed. There is a clear glass hurricane surrounding the light bulb. Outside the hurricane, the lampshade is made of hobnail milk glass. This would be an exceptional piece and is well worth any repair that needs to be made. I believe the angel slaying the dragon would be Michael. The dragon represents Satan. Finely crafted and rich with detail. Solid cast iron with a bronze finish. Structurally sound. This large wall sconce is in good condition with some mild to moderate surface wear and rust. Most of the rust can be seen on the back side and along the tops of where the light fixtures should be. This sconce will have to be wired and the fixtures will have to be added. This is the original patina. I haven't attempted ... moreto clean it or touch it up in any way. vintage cast iron ceiling light fixture bell hanger
Looks like a 3-008 impressed inside edge; that was only identifying marks I could find. It mounts upside down on ceiling. By way of two screw holes. Total width just over 5 1/2" with screw holes being about 3 1/2" apart. Ornate iron drops down conical about 3" and has a loop to attach to chandelier, fixture, or planter. This can be secured to ceiling, and used to safely hang whatever you choose; likely originally for light fixture.

It has several layers of paint. Also the globe tightening screws are either frooze or missing. Approximate Measurements The sconce has a 5 1/4 inch diameter and is 5 3/4 inches deep. 2.7 pounds Markings None. Condition Fair to good condition without any cracks. Breaks or repairs. It has several layers of paint. It also has moderate to severe surface rust and pitting. The globe tightening screws are either frooze or missing, see pictures. Antique VTG Art Deco Gothic Cast Iron Ruby Red Glass Porch Foyer Light Fixture
A vintage cast iron light fixture with lightly textured ruby red glass panels. Measures approximately 11-1/2" tall to the top of the hanger finial x 4¾" in diameter at the widest point. The mounting plate measures approximately 6" in diameter. The glass panels are free from chips or cracks. Overall condition is good. There are small two cracks in the cast iron on one side which does not affect the soundness of the fixture- please see picture#6, the cast iron is oxidized, it will need new wiring and will benefit from a more thorough cleaning.
