Here is one of two. Early 1900's era ~ SOLID BRONZE& BRASS THEATER LOBBY CEILING FIXTURE ~ Please check out the other fixture, that is just like this one, which I just listed as well. This early ceiling fixture is quite large measuring 21 inches across by 8 1/2 inches tall and weighs about 20 pounds. The entire fixture is solid brass or bronze. There is a maker's mark on the inside which is a B inside a Fleur-De-lis. This would have been a pretty expensive fixture to purchase back in the early 1900's. I would estimate that this was made around the 1910 to the very early 1920's era. It would mount flush to the ceiling and have exposed light bulbs which would add a wonderful look. I am selling this early fixture just like it was found when discovered in the estate. It has been tucked away for a very long time, and is in ... more100% all original untouched condition. The patina is wonderful and only needs a soft cleaning. There is a very light layer of beige paint along the top edge that would come right off with a little paint thinner. It will also need rewired and new sockets. It is actually a fairly easy rewire job as it is all exposed from the top. With the exception of the old cloth wiring and sockets, the lamp is in very good condition with no damage. I believe that the cast portion is bronze and the bottom pan is brass" a magnet does stick to the metal" and the entire fixture is all quality yellow metal. The original paint is in wonderful condition and would look fantastic with just a mild cleaning.
