I am quite certain this is solid brass- It ... moreis non magnetic, very heavy, the lamp weighs over 9 lbs. The whole lamp measures just under 24" tall, The lantern intself measures 7" square and between 10- 11" in height. The base of the stand is also solid brass, and the rest of the stand is iron(magnetic) The lantern portion is very ornate and has 4 unbroken glass, tiny checkerboard, panels in it. One of the panels is loose and not attached to the lamp, but is not broken. The lamp is in excellent working condition as can be seen in the first picture. The only other thing wrong with it is that is needs a new brass cap screw for the top of it- one of the original is missing and currently has a regular screw in place. The electrical cord is short and measures around 20- 21" in length. This is a beautiful unique solid piece and would look great on a patio or other outdoor living area, as well as for indoor decorating. Lamp is dirty and needs a good cleaning. A nice early oil lantern. Unusual cut glass globe with brass ends. Has a metal swivel handle with hook to hang. Sits on a small brass burner. Working condition. You will need to fill with oil as I will be draining it to ship. Stands approx. 11 1/2" tall without handle. Glass is 6" diameter widest. Condition is good, glass does have some scratches to it. Also the burner does not connect to lantern, I'm not sure if it's missing some clamps or? Burner will wedge in to place, but, do not move or lift when lit as it could fall out and cause fire. I have never seen this tapered mast anywhere before. They came painted as seen in the last picture. They have been stripped and waxed with refurbished pull chain period fat boy sockets. The lanterns had several changes of glass. I hand cut the quality Kokomo slag glass for these so they all match. One has more of a copper color than the other, probably red brass. All the parts that show are brass. In the second from last picture next to the ball pull you might be able to see a small ding and tiny tear in the metal but is really not noticeable and part of the wear on these. They are not perfect and show minor dings and spots but all is redone and rewired and ready for ... moreanother 100 plus years of service. They hang down 23 1/4" to the bottom of the shade, with pull chains the drop is 28 inches. They are set up to easily adjust the length of the pull chain. Here's a good authentic mission/arts& crafts style lantern fixture that recently came out of a small town Nebraska estate. Would date to 1910 or so. The lantern is 6" by 6" at the base and about 12" to the hanging hook. Made of brass with original green slag glass. Parts of the brass have old gilt paint on them. Some oxidation. No cracks in the glass. Has been safely re-wired for use. Has a pull-chain socket but this can be wired directly with the switch set to on. Use in a hall or on your porch. Not deep.can be buffed out rather easy. But.on one of the sconces the lighting mechanism is missing. Don't ask me how.that's just the way we found it.probably can be found without much effort. From a wonderful collector comes this vintage brass Arts& Crafts style lantern or ceiling light made with the most stunning slag glass I've ever seen. It has an amoebic. Undulating, ethereal quality. Please feel free to politely offer your opinion. Unfortunately, it's missing important parts. Could certainly be repaired and is clearly worth that effort. The previous owner used it with a candle and most of the candle smoke seen in the 6th photo has now been removed. Either the door has been sealed, or it's really stuck and I didn't want to force it. At one end where something attaches, the glass inserts have been snipped away from the screws and I think made that way. Still needs a bath, but I found no chips. It's 9 3/8" tall. Ornate brass chandelier lantern light fixture in untested condition. This light measures 26" tall and 12" wide. There is a chain on the top which is about 2' tall and grimy. This light is somewhat heavy. It weighs about 17 pounds. There are supposed to be a total of 8 glass panels which have an etched design but 1 of them is missing. There are 4 arms/lights. Vintage Antique Hanging Solid Brass Lamp Light Fixture Lantern On Stand
Here is a very ornate. Solid brass, I believe, hanging lamp lantern on its own solid brass and iron stand. I am quite certain this is solid brass- It is non magnetic, very heavy, the lamp weighs over 9 lbs. The whole lamp measures just under 24" tall, The lantern intself measures 7" square and between 10- 11" in height. The base of the stand is also solid brass, and the rest of the stand is iron(magnetic) The lantern portion is very ornate and has 4 unbroken glass, tiny checkerboard, panels in it. One of the panels is loose and not attached to the lamp, but is not broken. The lamp is in excellent working condition as can be seen in the first picture. The only other thing wrong with it is that is needs a new brass cap screw for the top of it- one of the original is missing and currently has a regular screw in place. The electrical ... morecord is short and measures around 20- 21" in length. This is a beautiful unique solid piece and would look great on a patio or other outdoor living area, as well as for indoor decorating. Lamp is dirty and needs a good cleaning. antique Bulpitt 1916 iron porcelain brass ceiling oil lamp lantern chandelier
This is a very rare antique Bulpitt 1916 ceiling oil burning fixture. it is made from iron. Brass and porcelain and has a wonderful patina from age. the removable burner has lockable notches and knobs to hold it into place and a key to adjust the flame on the side which hangs on a chain. there is also a place on one of the two arms that the key can be held. I forgot to show a photo of it but you can see the spot for it. right above the burner is the exhaust which releases heat out of the top. around the chimney is a large piece of white porcelain. the top opens on a brass hinge and locks shut at an ornate brass hinge. Which has a removable pin held by a chain. it has nicely wrought iron chain which is held by a large cast iron hook at the top of the fixture. it has normal ware from age and works great. VINTAGE PATINA BRASS LANTERN SMOKEY GLASS CHANDELIER HANGING Fixture
Vintage Antiqued Brass and Smokey Glass Lantern The lantern has 4 lights that take smaller chandelier type bulbs. The smokey glass panels catch a nice glow with natural light and shines with a beautiful golden tone when lit. It is in good working condition. No ceiling plate, chain or bracket found with it all of which are easy to replace from any hardware store. The antiqued brass has a great patina. It also has small specks of house paint all may be polished off to have a"new" look. It has 12 smokey tone glass panels in total. It hangs down 23" and it is about 15" wide. It has been dusted off only. Additional cleaning is suggested. This great fixture would be a great addition to any foyer.
