All new modern sockets and wiring but with high quality brass casting and design. This is a large fixture and the pictures may not convey the scale. It measures 63" tall x 33" wide. It is perfect for a Victorian entryway or stairway. You would need tall ceilings for this one. Check out the pictures. The detail is beautiful. Cast Griffins and torches are right out of the 1800's. This fixture is not marked but in excellent condition. The 5 brass arms have gas key turns and nice solid brass shade holders in a period style. Shades are hand tooled glass. The design on each shades is of flowers and trees repeating around the base. The shades are French and marked"CVV Vienna and Made in France" They have a wonderful blue tint at the ruffle rimmed top. Each measures 8 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" tall. Perfect scale for this size chandelier. This is an incredible and elegant brass chandelier that if wired to a wall dimmer switch would create wonderful lighting in any room. It would be a stunning focal point to a grand parlor. These ornate late victorian creations feature a unique frosted brass leaf decoration on each of the heavy polished brass wallplates and pendant sockets. The 2 brasses sconces used to be gas and have been fully converted to electric. On the rim of the one of the fitters it shows the patent date of"Pat'd.Dec896, Sept2996" The twist knob says"P& S" on the fixture it's also engraved"Weber Patents" They are in excellent working condition. The wire is newer. Upon looking at them. I'm not sure how you would mount them as there's no hardware and I don't see how you would fit it to the wall(even with the bar that's on it) I will leave it up to the new owner to determine. I figured you could drill holes into the canopy and mount it to the wall. The brass is VERY delicate ... moreand it shows it's age very much. There are some dents in it etc.which are hard to see in photos. The pictures show the cosmetic condition a little better than they actually are.The glass shades for the large fitter seem to be heavy for this lightweight of a fixture. You could replace them with something lighter or maybe more of that period. Also, one of the screws appears to be newer. The large fitter is 4 1/8" the small fitter is 2 1/4" The diameter of the canopy is 4" All of the glass shades are free of chips or cracks but do show some wear. Victorian Brass Chandelier Ceiling Light Set - Matching Pair of Electrified Gas
For sale is a wonderful matching set of electrified antique lights. These are wired with new wires and sockets and both have the original etched glass shades which are quite large(3” fitter and 7 1/2” wide at the top. The lights are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. There a few bumps and dings that are only visible with very close inspection. There are a couple of small places with tarnish. But those could be polished up easily. While these are a matching set. It does appear that over the years a couple of pieces have been replaced. The bottom finial pieces are different and the fitter on one is ornate and the other is simple(See pictures. Also, as you can see from the pictures they were hung using chains and simply plugged into an outlet. It would be fairly simple to buy a mounting plate from a local home improvement store ... moreand hang the lights flush with the ceiling. Up for auction is an antique gas light double arm fixture recently found at auction in the Syracuse. NY area. It is found in good to very good used condition. It is quite heavy and ornate in form. The arms are in good shape as well. This hardware has a nice gold wash, with green hues. I believe it to be brass or bronze in form. This piece measures approximately 18 1/2" x 5" in size. VICTORIAN 1800s ANTIQUE CHANDELIER RESTORED BRASS GAS LIGHT ETCH GLASS SHADES
This chandelier is a beauty! Formerly a gas light. It is fully restored and electric addes. The only imperfection is a slight chip on one of the etched shades as shown in the close up picture. You will also note that the edges of the shades vary slightly even though they appear to be just alike. The chandelier measures approximately 31 1/2" tall by 32 inches wide. Local pickup would be the best scenario but will work with the buyer if shipping is necessary. This is a very old chandelier and the glass shades are original.

Antique Victorian Gas/Electric Brass Wall Sconce~Acorn Pull Chain~Hubbel~Flowers
Beautiful little sconce. And has a very unique acorn finial on the pull chain. The set screws on the pierced top fitter are pretty little flowers, and all three are present. It was in use in our 1891 home until just recently when we opened up a wall to the reading nook it was in to make a master bath. I suspect it was there from when the house was wired to replace the gas lights. Our town. Bellefonte, was the second town to be electrified after Edison's home town! The sconce is wired and ready to go. But please an electrician or knowledgeable person double check the wiring to your satisfaction since it is not a new piece. The wiring is cloth covered, but doesn't look original, so may have been rewired more recently. The piece is marked 250V Hubbel 250W on the socket. And Pat Applied For on the arm. I polished it about 4 years ago, ... moreand it has mellowed to a lovely light brass patina. Measures about 7" protrusion from the wall to the far edge of the fitter. 4-1/2" wide round backplate, and has an outside diameter of 2-3/8" on the fitter. This auction is for the sconce only. Antique Brass Gas Wall Sconce Roses Art Nouveau Lamp Candlestick Holder
Up for sale is an Antique Solid Brass Gas Wall Sconce features a rose design. Looks like a bouquet of roses. There are 2 tubes that lead to the large open roses, which thread onto the tubes. The front features a hole where a knob would be mounted to control the flames. There are a total of 2 gas burners, it could be used as candlestick holders or even be converted to make a really nice wall accent lamp. It is approximately 21"T x about 12 1/2"W, and total it stands approximately 4" from the wall, so I would say 4" deep. This is a really intricate and realistic casting, note the detail work on the closed buds and on the leaves. This is a very quality piece, and very solid and heavy, it weighs almost 6 lbs. It was made in the late 1800's to early 1900's and is of an Art Nouveau style. This would make a lovely accent ... morein any home or garden. But was turned into this wonderful candle holder and very high quality. it has exquisite ornate detailing and holds 2 candles. it is made from thick heavy bronze and has a wonderful patina from age. it is highly embossed with beautiful scroll work. Arts & Crafts Pittsburgh Era Slag Glass Brass Gas or Electric Shade
Antique Arts& Crafts Victorian Slag Glass Gas Shade from the Pittsburgh Glass Miller B& H Era. I have sold Pittsburgh Shades Previously and this shade is very similar with the Brass Cut out Silhouettes Used of That Era. This Shade is Original to my late 1800's built home. The top brass fitter portion would take the old spring type gas fitters. All glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips seen. The glass is all original to the shade with butterscotch and caramel colored slag/ stained glass. The fitter measures 1 5/8 inches across with the tabs measuring an extra 1/4 inch for a total 2 inch fitter end. Antique Gas Wall Sconce Solid Brass Electric Crescent B.M. Co. Art Nouveau
Up for sale is a gorgeous antique gas brass wall sconce. It has been converted to electric. But it is a vintage/antique original conversion, with the original cotton wires from the early 1900's. Stamped with the maker"Crescent B.M. Co Pat'd" on the back(there is also a patent number but it is unreadable to me) I would caution any buyer who purchases to please rewire for safety reasons. Those wires are not considered safe anymore, needs new wires if going to be used. Also needs a switch. Is in good condition, with only one notable issue. It appears that at one point there was a decorative accent on the top, it has been snapped off, it looks like it never had been there in the first place, so the break happened in a natural looking place. Electric sockets have cardboard candle sticks covering the hardware, they slide off, ... morefor easy removal and access to the wires. The wiring is easy to access, so easy to replace. The fixture measures 33” tall x 18” x 10” and is all brass with ¾” diameter stem. 5” diameter canopy and lots and lots of finely cast brass ornament in the French Rococo flavor. NICE OLD PIECE OF COLEMAN HISTORY, OVERALL GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE, HAS A FEW DINGS IN THE TANK THAT YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE, TYPICAL SIGNS OF AGE AND USE, ONE OF THE GLASS CUPS HAS A FEW MINOR FLEA BITES AROUND THE FITTER WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE LAST PICTURE, I BELEIVE THE WHOLE THING IS MADE OF BRASS, THE FINIAL ON TOP IS BLACK CAST IRON, IT COMES WITH TWO ETCHED GLASS CUPS WITH ROSES LEAVES AND STEMS AROUND THE ENTIRE SHADE, CHARACTER BUBBLES IN THE GLASS, JUST BEAUTIFUL, THE GLOBE RESTS HAVE THREE BRASS SCREWS TO HOLD THE CUPS IN PLACE, BUT ONE OF THE SUPPORTS HAS COME APART BUT CAN EASILY BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED, IT JUST CAUSES THE CUP TO LEAN TO ONE SIDE EVEN THOUGH IT IS SECURELY HELD IN PLACE BY THE SCREWS, THE LAMP MEASURES 27 1/2 ... moreINCHES TALL, 22 INCHES WIDE FROM ARM TO ARM, THE GLASS CUPS MEASURE 8 INCHES ACROSS THE TOP, 4 INCHES ACROSS ON THE FITTER AND 3 1/2 INCHES TALL, IT HAS 6 FEET OF CHAIN AND 15 FEET OF CORD WITH A PEARL BAKELITE PLUG, THE CORD HAS BEEN TAPED IN TWO PLACES AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. MISSION BRASS GAS WALL SCONCES WITH ORIGINAL SHADES
Brass with a beautiful patina. Gas keys turn freely. Never been electrified. The burners are marked Welsbach. They have 3 1/4" spring clip fitters. The sconces extend approx 13" The height is approx 10 1/2" because of the great goose neck. The backplate is a 4 1/2" square. The shades are very dirty but I did not feel any rough spots when I ran my fingers over it. The shade rings have 3 patent dates on them. The most recent is Feb 14. 91. Thanks for looking!
