The light reflects so well off the the candle wick detailing that runs from top to bottom. It is blue with beautiful-highly detailed clear glass. All components are in excellent condition and are from the mid century era. The shade and stem compliment each other nicely. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. The original Leviton porcelain socket has been rewired and accepts a 150 watt bulb. This amazing light fixture hangs 16 inches from the ceiling. The mounting hardware will be included. Please note: do not wash the coloured droplet since it is colour coated and the colour will wash off. The chain/strand is connected with a silver coloured hoop ring. You will need to find your own hook to hang the chain since there is not one with this item-Some people however use fishing wire to link the drops into chains rather than using metal hoops. Today I can envision the chandelier in your newly renovated kitchen or spa bathroom. DETAILS: Sadly. The period-correct, hand-painted bulbs are not included. Happily, I will let you know where to get them. The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs. COLOR: See above. Stunning Victorian Hanging Light Shade Dome Cobalt Blue Glass & Hammered Metal
This auction is for a Striking Victorian Hanging Light Shade or Dome. It is uniquely shaped with ribbed paneled glass colored in a vivid Cobalt Blue and accented with bright metal strips hammer chased to resemble feathers or leaves that come together at the base and meet a bright chased pointed cap. The piece also has a neatly stylized fitter ring with images of stars and prongs shaped like a dragon head. Overall. The piece is in good condition, especially for its age. There are no cracks or chips to the glass. Several o f the metal strips appear to have come loose slightly and the previous owner has glued them back(see last photo) Some of the cobalt coloring is coming off the glass. Maker: Verrerie d'Art Degué(the chandelier is not signed by Degue(like many of their chandeliers) But has the model number(no. 210) stamped on it's border. Materials: The center bowl is made out of thick-walled. Molded glass and is partly clear polished and partly frosted. It shows a strictly geometrical reduced and outstanding leafs decor in its center- the border is adorned with clear glass bubbles. The chrome-plated metal fixture is still original from the time. The chandelier is equipped with two bulb sockets, so the center bowl becomes equally illuminated. Comes with around 20 feet of chain/cord. Each GLASS panel measures 13 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide. I removed the finial at the bottom so it would stand up for taking photos. It's been reattached(just screws on) It's in decent condition. But does have a few minor issues. 1) Was really dusty when I got it. I've cleaned it. But it's"guy cleaned" meaning it may need a bit more. Very nice light fixture. Featuring an antique blue glass shade with ribbed design, glass inserts on the rod and new chrome canopy. This is finished off with a brass and glass ball finial(the canopy being chrome and the finial being brass blends nicely, the fixture looks really beautiful with the two metals mixed. There is a small bit of paint loss on the edge of the shade(pictured last) which looks like a production flaw, it's not noticeable and the fixture still displays very nicely. New 2 cluster socket and wiring, works perfectly. Sockets will take 60 watt bulbs each, so this can put out 120 watts if needed. MID CENTURY FRENCH ITALIAN TOLE STAINED BLUE PURPLE GOLD GLASS CHANDELIER LAMP
We are pleased to offer this very nice. Ornate and quite unique Mid Century(1960s) French or Italian tole pendant lamp/chandelier. This 6 paneled, 3 light fixture features an ornate tole frame. The tole has a hammered pattern and extends around the bottom of the frame and in the borders of each panel. Each panel features a large wire fleur de lis which is topped with a tole acanthus leaf. There is also a tole flower in the center of each fleur de lis. The finial is gilted tole acanthus leaves that curl upward on each end. The stained glass panels are textured and alternate with 2 blue panels, 2 gold panels and 2 purple panels. The glass graduates in width and is wider at the bottom sections. The 3 light section of the pendant is gilded with nice bobeches and curved arms in candlestick design. There is also a bottom finial. ORIGINAL Vintage Hand Blown BLUE Glass Grape Chandelier - RARE Art Deco - WINE!!
Up for auction is an AMAZING rare original vintage hand blown blue glass grape cluster light chandelier! This light fixture was recently removed from a New Hampshire estate and is fresh to the market! I am unsure of the exact maker of this light. But believe it to be Italian made. It consists of several hand blown blue glass(rare color, couldn't find another one like it) single"grape-like" pieces that are about 2" in diameter and 3.5" long. In between these grape fixtures that are several small blue glass leaves that give an excellent t touch to the overall look of this great chandelier! Each glass piece has a small piece of wire that has been blown into the glass and then wrapped around a central metal wire cage in a cluster fashion. There are two different looking glass grapes that make up the light. Several have ... morea crackled surface(not cracks through the glass, simply a surface texture) and others are smooth with curved longitudinal segments. Condition wise, this light fixture is in as found condition. We have not tried to clean, re-wire or alter it in any way once removing it from the estate. The bottom looks like it may be missing some of the glass grape pieces(see photos and judge for yourself) but this doesn't take away from the amazing look of this piece. Restored 1920s Vintage Blue Art Deco Glass Light Fixture Chandelier!
This is a very unusual pretty blue shade. It has thick clear embossed design that almost looks like a shell pattern on a pale blue background. This is a very thick old shade. It's not a new reproduction. It has a crystal clear ribbed stem and candle cup that holds five water drop style prisms. This fixture hangs 18" from the ceiling. And can be lengthened or shortened slightly. Let me know the length you need, and I'll let you know if it's possible or not. This fixture is perfect for lots of impact in a small room with a low ceiling. This would be gorgeous in an entryway or powder bath. It's really beautiful when lit. Offered here is a vintage wrought iron chandelier with 8 what appears to be hand blowen glass globes in a crackle glass pattern. The globes appear to have been blowne right in the iron frames. The glass is 3/8 inch thick. The chandelier measure 32 inches across and is 18 inches high from the point at the bottom to the top ring. There is a chain that it hangs from that measure 36 inches long. The wiring is all intact but I would recommend that it be rewired to make sure there are no problems. This chandelier has set in a damp location for a few years and has some surface rust on it that I think could be cleaned up easily or it can be left as is and be called Rusty Rustic or something like that. LOVELY BLUE AND WHITE OPALESCENT TEXTURED MARBLED SLAG WITH ORNATE BRASS BEADING AND EDGING. GLASS IS RIGID TEXTURE ON THE INSIDE AND SMOOTH ON THE OUTSIDE. GIVING A UNIQUE APPEARANCE WHEN LIT.
