The bulb it would take is a standard size bulb that w ith a regular base. The wattage of 60 or less is recomm ended. Especially for the presentation of the color of the shade. The stronger wattage the less color of the glass. It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! Hello. I have for sale a pair of Art Deco style molded glass and chrome wall sconces, each frosted pink shade is decorated with a ribbed motif and central figure of a nude in relief, set in a chrome frame. I was told they were made in Holland. I am a guy whose taste is not quite this style. By the pictures you can see they do operate. Unfortunately one does have a very tiny nick. This does not affect the looks though when the glass is sitting in the chrome frame. They measure 9 1/2"high, 10 1/2 wide and weigh approx. 5 lb. I hope the pictures and info help. Any? Pair Art Deco Nouveau Slip Slipper Shade Sconces Wall Lights Fixtures
These are a beautiful pair of original Art Deco slip shade sconces. Very nice detailed design in shades and sconce holders. The finish on the the back plates looks to be original and is great shape but could use some cleaning. The detailed shades are beautiful with the original orange highlights and are in great shape. There is a teeny sliver chip on the side of one shade near the fitter(barely noticable only mentioned for accuracy) and a thin line on the fitter tab of the other one that is not seen when shade is in fitter. See pictures. The electrical and switches do work but they have cloth wiring and should be checked by a professional or rewired. See picture of one of the sconces lighted. I’m very pleased to offer this rare and striking pair of 1930s chrome and glass sconces by Levolite. And from their After Daylight line! The glass scones are a cream colored glass. Not painted glass but solid cream glass in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. It’s incredibly hard finding such a pair with their glass shades in excellent condition. They are almost always lost or broken. The sconces were made by Levolite. The company was at 184 Grand Street in NYC. The building is. Today, no doubt high-end condos. 2 narrow light bulbs included. Here are 2 great 1930's art Deco porcelain wall sconce lights from Paulding. You will see in the pictures that they are in great condition. I have not tried to clean them and appear to be fully functional. The fastening screw is included and the pull chain porcelain end is also still intact. Very hard to find everything together. These also have the outlet on the bottom behind the pull chain. These can be wired 250v 10amp or 125v 15 amp. I have had some questions about the wiring so I have included 2 more pictures. Like this set, which are hard to classify. Are these sconces Art Deco? ... moreSpanish-Revival? Deco Eclectic? Inspired by aliens? I’m not sure. During the late 1920s and 1930s there were a lot of fixtures like this– an artful blend of many influences. And I rather like that. To me though, these are Spanish-Revival sconces with Art Deco influences. If your house was built in the late 1920s. 1930s, or 1940s, and is Spanish-Revival in its styling, then sconces such as this would have been likely choices. The sconces are cast-iron(this is typical for Moe-Bridges) and as such have a nice heft about them. They feature intricate designs and a rich polychrome finish in a deep gold with brighter gold highlights. And just touches of jade and Pompeii red. Nice. Each sconce also has an on/off switch. The sconces can be individually controlled by their switches. Or by a wall switch– assuming your house is wired as such. Wholly restored and with new wiring. This set is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: Sadly. The period-correct, hand-painted bulbs are not included. Happily, I will let you know where to get them. A PAIR of Antique THEATER SCONCES Light Fixtures! Here we have very cool and very scarce find. A pair of antique light fixtures. Sconces, that I am told came out of an old theater that was being torn down. These were purchase in New York around 20 years ago. They were probably hanging on either the wall above the aisles or over the doorways into the theater. They look to be from the early part of the century to me. These lights are huge. Measuring approximately 26" long by 6" wide. Beautiful Art Nouveau. Deco flower and scroll design that would work either horizontally or vertically. They are metal with wood backing and are quite heavy. Looks like they were originally painted gold and one of them is worn more to the metal than the other. One has original inside fixture. The other needs replacing, this should be an easy find and ... morethe backs come off very easily. The last photo. although not a very good photo-sorry) show the one with the fixture lit, to give you an idea of the pretty glow they make when working. Of course even though this one worked, I would rewire it anyway. These would be amazing brought back to the original look. These near 100 year old matching pair of Art Deco Wall Sconces are a stunning examples of Art Deco. With their tiered glass shaded sconces and stylized design. They are in remarkably well preserved condition for their age. The original glass shades are light golden amber with a satin finish and diffuse light beautifully. They are in very good condition. Except for a few minor chips, flaking and roughness, which cannot be seen when displayed. Most of these can be seen in the photos, few can not as they are so small. ANTIQUE / VINTAGE PAIR OF BRONZE BRASS 2 LIGHT ART DECO WALL SCONCES
For your bidding is a gorgeous pair of Art Deco 2 Light wall sconces. The backs which are 7" in diameter are brass grating with a brass plate in the back that has been painted white. Each sconce has two lights/candles that are 6 1/2" tall with the original sleeves and pull changes to turn on and off(all working) The total length of each sconce is 9 1/2" The arms of the lights have swirled detailed designs and reach out 6 1/2" from the wall. The back plates of the sconces are held on by three nuts. There is a metal bar in which to hang them. They have the original wiring which looks to be in good condition. All parts are originals. There is a small amount of paint residue from years of remodels around the back edge of the lights that can easily be removed. This auction is for 2 vintage Art Deco. Riddle Company"candle drip" sconces. 1533. These sconces are very ornate and still have a lot of their paint. They are a cast material.and a magnet will not stick to them. The switches turn fine. The sconces measure about 7 1/2" long. 4 1/4" wide at the widest point.and sticks out about 6 7/8" from the wall to farthest point. Some of the color is missing from these lights. The sconces have the old wiring. Also, The"candle drip" pieces have rough spots from over the years. These nice pieces are from an old farm house estate. Thanks for looking!

Pair Antique Cast Iron Art Deco 1930's Vintage Outdoor Sconces Old Wall Lights
This huge pair of cast iron Art Deco sconces came from the same estate as all the other sconces we have listed this week. This pair must have come off of a commercial building such as a bank or a factory. Certainly were used on the exterior of an old commercial building. These heavy cast iron sconces have some of the best Art Deco lines of any you will find. The sconces are in generally good condition. The flat black paint as it is in really good condition so probably recent and they have no breaks, cracks or repairs. Although the one is missing its socket and the jar type adapter which I assume was to screw the shade to, it would be easy to replace with just a socket and then place the shade in the 6" fitter. You will see holes in the sides of the fitter however they have no threads. You could probably tap them for threads to put set ... morescrews to hold the shades however not really necessary as the round shade would certainly fit nicely into the fitter. These old sconces are incredible size wise. Each one measures about 13 1/2" tall with the flat sided roundish part being a good 3 1/4" diameter. They are all original and we are including all the hardware and fittings and we are including the oiginal electrical but you will want to update it as it doesn't appear to be very safe. These are both in excellent and very clean condition with no flaws at all except that one of them has a small chip on the lip where it fits into the wall mount. It doesn't show up at all and doesn't effet the use of the item at all but it is there. I have cleaned up the shades and the outside of the outlet but the inside of the wall mount is dirty.
