Here are 2 great 1930's art Deco porcelain wall sconce lights from Paulding. You will see in the pictures that they are in great condition. I have not tried to clean them and appear to be fully functional. The fastening screw is included and the pull chain porcelain end is also still intact. Very hard to find everything together. These also have the outlet on the bottom behind the pull chain. These can be wired 250v 10amp or 125v 15 amp. I have had some questions about the wiring so I have included 2 more pictures. Antique Vintage Original Art Deco c. 30's Chandelier Porcelain& Crystals Glass Shade#230. Up for bidding is this AMAZING Original Art Deco. C. 1930's Chandelier, refurbished! It has a gorgeous cream colored column AND ceiling cap made of porcelain that is beautifully painted with floral motif and accented with gold.This was made by the famous Porcelier Company and it's rare to find the chandelier body and ceiling cap together. And in such fine condition. It is paired with this very nice, pale, sort of creamy beige-ish pink glass shade that is ribbed and scalloped and has no damage at all as far as chips. Cracks or scratches. Does show nicks in the paint. Normal wear for age, mainly around the flat bottom part of the shade, around the finial. I have shown this in the last 3 pics. PORCELAIN FLUSH CEILING FIXTURE. 1920'S- 30'S, ART DECO ERA, MODERN WIRING This art deco era ceiling light is a flush mount porceilain fixture. I believe that it is Porcelier. But the sticker that probably accompanied it at one time is missing. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. The wiring is modern. I have tested the fixture and it works correctly. Judging by the small hole near the center mounting hole, it probably had a pull chain on/off witch when it was new, but the switch has been removed. It was common for the early fixtures to have pull chains because they generally did not have a wall switch to turn it on& off. The fixture is 10-5/8" long. 6-1/4" wide, and 3" deep. 1920's Art Deco porcelain wall light sconce with underglaze floral decoration
Art deco porcelain wall sconce with floral decorations. This fixture was mounted in the hallway in the third floor of our old house built in 1925. The third floor had been unused for decades and I believe this was original to the 1925 construction. Piece is in very good used condition and is being sold as-is. There are some little discolored scuff marks. Probably from removing from the wall, I think TSP takes those off. The end of the little pull is painted wood and it's dirty and chipped a little. You can feel the painted floral pattern as though it were actually painted under the glaze and it'sin very good condition. I can't see any wires inside the socket, but this should certainly be rewired for use. The part that mounts on the wall measures 6&5/8 inches tall and 3&1/2" across at the widest. The fixtures are stamped"Porcelier" The set includes two ceiling or wall mount lights, one is a double socket light. The sconces are identical in color and pattern. They are a golden color with white undertones. They are trimmed in gold with a French or Italianate vine and leaf pattern. The pair are stamped"Porcelier" on the inside. They are in very good condition with very little evidence of age/use. The two light sconce has two"lines" that look like hairline cracks. However, if you run your finger over them, you cannot feel them. I truly think they are age marks in the finish. There is some very light crazing in a couple of areas. Vintage Industrial Pair Paulding White Subway Tile Porcelain Art Deco Sconces
For your consideration is this great 1920's pair of white porcelain powder room sconces with shades. These sconces were manufactured by Paulding. Have nice detail and their original shades. They are in good condition and have pull chain on/off switches, both do click. The actual sconces are 6 1/4" tall by 4 5/8" wide, with shades they stand out from wall 7 1/2" As shown in photos, the sconces are not quite as pure white as the shades. They do both have plug-ins, the left hole is longer than the right, for modern plugs. Please notice, one of the pull chains is shorter than the other, these could be extended with a bit more chain, but probably would be hardwired to switch. As shown in the last photo, there is a small chip in the porcelain on the bottom behind the shade. The inside lip of the shades have the customary roughness ... moreseen in this type of sconces, maybe a few small chips, but I think they are just a bit rough from manufacturing. PAIR 2 MATCHING VINTAGE PAULDING PORCELAIN ART DECO WALL SCONCE LIGHT LAMP
These 2 Paulding sconces came out of a bathroom in a old Victorian house being remodeled and had layers and layers of paint on them. I cleaned them in off the best I could. No chemicals were used. No cracks breaks or repairs. A few very tiny flea bites along the edges. Needs re-wiring. The chains are snapped off inside. Only a little shows as seen in the pictures. There were a lot of these fantastic pieces of hardware being tossed into the dumpsters. There was so much paint on everything no one knew. Unfortunate I came along too late to retrieve some hardware. Two Rare and Absolutely Beautiful Porcelier Porcelain Flush Mount Light Fixtures. Art Deco Era with soft pink and green floral designs on corners. The color of the fixtures is an amazing cream color glaze. Original double sockets and deep seating screws. Both of the fixtures are virtually flawless. There are NO cracks. Chips, crazing or breaks. There is a small drop of cream colored paint between two ribs that may need to be rubbed off. It really wouldn't have to be touched/disturbed as it is not noticeable. I would love to keep these for myself but I don't know when I would get them put up. So I am hoping that someone will cherish these and show them off in their own home. You are offered this vintage bathroom fixture. It is circa 80- 90 years old. Still working! It came from a 1920‘s house. Condition is good, with porcelain and shade no cracks. A few paint spots on shade. The bottom shade rim has rough finish, typical of these shades. This has a pull chain socket, which works. I have plugged in a lamp to show that socket also works. The pic on back shows heavy duty cloth cord. Looks like people may have plugged something more heavy duty back in those days. Rewiring is recommended, as it is all original. Vintage 1920s art deco porcelain light wall sconce black retro
Up for grabs is an Art Deco porcelain wall sconce. It is black in color. In most of the pictures it appears to be dark blue, but it has a very high gloss glaze on it that makes it hard to get good pictures of it. It has a sheer gold design of sea birds and sea grass with a flower on it and has the same sheer good as an outline as well as accenting the part where the actual light goes. The design has been done with an underglaze and is protected by the high gloss over glaze. I found this out in my barn and it was so dirty I didn't realize it had the design. I cleaned it up a bit but not to much. The white specks on it are paint and do come off with a little work. There were alot more, so they come off without damaging the fixture. We have the glaze to thank for that: As an extra bonus you can see what color the previous owner's house ... morewas painted! There is a very pretty screw on flower in the center. Not sure what it is made of. Perhaps pewter? I have left the original wiring intact for reference. But please don't try to use it. Its just there to make rewiring easier. On one corner there is a place where I believe the glaze separated during firing. Doesn't appear to be chipped and once hung will not be seen. The more I look at this the more I appreciate it. It is very pretty and I couldn't find anything like it online. Most appear to be white fixtures. I would hang it in my home but I just do not have a place for it.
