RARE UNUSUAL ART DECO ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SLAG GLASS BRASS PENDANT LIGHT LAMP
Fabulous. Unusual and rare, beautiful art deco slag glass egg or bullet shaped pendant hanging lamp or light in good condition. The slag glass is encased in a lovely architectural designed framework probably made of brass with a fantastic patina! A magnet does not stick to any part of this light except the rod connecting the chain to the ceiling cover. Even the ceiling dome or cover does not attract a magnet. The total length of this light from ceiling cover to pointed finial is 29" while the length of the bullet itself is 16 1/2" from the finial to the ring attached on the bottom. The circumference around the largest center part of the light is 26 1/2" The light opens on a hinge to expose the socket for a light bulb. The old cloth wiring is not good so I could not try this light to see if it works but I have no reason to think ... morethat it does not. There is corrosion on the chain and inside the dome ceiling cover but no damage to the lovely caramel colored slag glass inserts. This is a heavy piece and will require extra padding and packing to insure it's safe delivery but I always refund any overages for shipping. Insurance will be required by the buyer. Here is a really uniquely designed Antique Hanging Ceiling Light Fixture. Definitely one of my favorites! This fixture is from 30's or 40's and is a cream color with chrome accents. It hangs from a ceiling medallion and also has a cream rod between. Measures approx. 15" in diameter and 13" to the top of the rod. There is an additional 15" to the top of the ceiling plate. You can add more or less chain as desired. Still has the cloth wire so it will need to be rewired. It looks like a fairly simple fixture to rewire. You will find tiny chips along the interior of the glass(doesn't show once placed inside) You will also find a few spots of paint that has rubbed off along the edge. Not too bad for such an old fixture in original condition. 1930's Art Deco Glass Slip Shade Chandelier Pendant Light Fixture Lincoln Era
Do you have a lighting fixture that works but is lacking in style? It's time to upgrade- with this beautiful and rare Art Deco slip shade chandelier! Three frosted glass shades with a classic Art Deco design slide into a bronze finished six-sided chandelier frame decorated in a stylized floral and geometric pattern. On the bottom of the chandelier hangs a large pendant. The chandelier has three light sockets with their original wiring(still in good shape) that rise up through a central stem to a great"Levolier" in-line pull switch before ending in the original copper colored ceilingcanopy. The ceiling mount assembly even has its original mounting hardware so it's ready to go! There's no manufacturer name on the chandelier(as is the case with most chandeliers) But"B 57" is stamped in three places. We know that ... morea company called Lincoln made many of these but we can't be certain about this one. We're not sure what the base metal is, but it has a bronze patina and a magnet doesn't stick to it. Aside from its compact shape that allows this chandelier to be installed in a hallway, Kitchen, covered porch, foyer, office, breakfast room, bedroom, etc. what makes it special is that it can easily be disassembled for maintenance or repair AND comes with its three original shades! Antique and vintage lighting fixtures with a missing shade or ones with big cracks or other damage are quite common on eBay. But this chandelier- which is likely 80+ years old- has its original trio of shades, which contain only the inherent imperfections that occurred in the manufacturing process. There are no repairs or breakage anywhere on this chandelier! Gill Art Deco Industrial Pendant Light Fixture Rayed Fine Rib Bell Globe 1910 #2
This beautiful Art Deco Pendant Industrial Light Fixture with Clear Glass Rayed Fine Rib Zipper Pattern Bell Style Shade came from an old Woolworth Store that closed here years ago. The Globe is marked Gill Co. Inc. Pat'd 1910 and the turn switch on the metal fixture is marked is marked ARROW and has an arrow through an E. The globe as I said is bell shaped and has a row of fine ribs running down and there will be three plain and the fourth is zippered. It gives a nice pointed edge to the bottom where every one comes down. The glass is very clear. The top of the globe has some roughness inside the top open area that was in the making and has no chipping. This is seen with most old fixtures. The metal has been painted over to look bronze and the area where the paint is missing looks very bright. This could be removed or left alone. There ... moreis ceiling paint on the top ceiling plate that will remove easily. It is a flat type white. This light is meant to hang and move and has a chain it measures about 16"18" according to how it is adjusted. The globe is 6" tall and about 10" across the bottom. It is about 2 1/4" across the top. I found no cracks or chips on either of these beautiful Asian Inspired Art Deco Style Shades. Measure approx. 5 1/2" in height. 2" rim, and 3" base. They appear to be more of a milk glass interior with a satin exterior. You will find the tiny typical flea bites/darkened areas around the rim from the fixture rubbing on them. I was able to get most of the paint specks off, but you may find a few leftover. One has a small dark line which you will see in the photo. Nothing that is significant. Noted mostly for description accuracy. As with all previously loved vintage pieces you may find wear from use. I only soap and water clean so anything stronger is left up to the buyer. This is a beautiful. Large, Art Deco ceiling light with its original chain, escutcheon, porcelain socket, globe fitter, and milk glass globe. It has been painted gold many years ago but now has a wonderful patina that cannot be reproduced(even though people try very hard) You can see the original copper on the inside. There are a couple of small dings and the paint is chipping in areas but it still looks great! It has been rewired with a new. Antique styled, cloth covered cord. Antique Vintage Lighting Art Deco Aluminum Pendant Ceiling Light Fixture 1930's
Description This listing is for a set of 10(ten) 1930's Vintage Light Fixtures. They were made by Curtis Lighting out of Chicago. As you can tell by the pictures. These fixtures are aluminum and in great shape to be from the 30's. They originally came out of a 2-story department store and have been sitting in the second story of this store ever since they replaced the lighting with florescent lights. The fixtures have been in the same store the entire time and very well cared for all these years. I have 10 of the actual large round light fixtures which if you look closely at the 10th picture. You can tell there is a gap on the under side which allows light to be reflected onto the ceiling. There may be some small area's with a few tiny rust spots, but not very noticeable as you can tell by the pictures. There are four layers and ... morea shiny top which adds to the look of the fixture itself. These measure from the base to the tip of the top approximately 8 1/2 inches. The diameter measuring from the bottom outer edge is approximately 21 3/8" wide. I have 6 of the cone shaped pieces that fit into the larger round fixture itself. They have 3 longer pieces that attach onto the cone. At the bottom of these. There is a prong which simply slips into the fixture. I am missing one of the longer pieces which attach to the cone, however, you could easily make one yourself. As you can tell by the pictures, one of them is even held on by a screw(which could be cut down more flush to make it not as noticeable) Hanging from the ceiling-it would not be noticeable at all. These measure 12 3/4" measuring from the ground standing on the 3 prongs to the tip of the cone. The cone itself measures 8 3/4" and the diameter of the smaller hole on the top of the cone measures 3/4" The widest part of the cone at the bottom measures 3 3/16" I have 6 of the ceiling fixtures that attach to the top of the ceiling. Each down light has a porcelain rebuildable leviton switch. All wiring has been removed, no sense shipping unsafe junk imho. As found. It will hang 21 inches from ceiling or with the omission of the mast it can be made into a close mount with a down measurement( without bulbs! of approx. 10 inches The main frame is 14 inches square. Bobeche are 4 inches diameter. Finial is 2 3/4 inches drop. Mast is 9 inches tall and 3 1/4 at its widest, a little over a quarter inch in thickness. Unique vintage never installed Virden lighting fixture was removed from the original box for pictures. The box will be discarded for shipping since the cardboard is very brittle. The glass globe is about 12" x 12" to give you an idea of the size. This has been in storage for many many years. LARGE Antique 1920s Vintage Art Deco Pendant Chandelier Ceiling Light Fixture
Description: Thank you for viewing our items. We specialize in antique and vintage lighting. And have several fixtures listed. Offered here for your consideration is a fantastic beautiful large Art Deco cast iron and glass pendant light fixture. When I purchased this light fixture I was told that it came out of an Art Deco era theater in the San Francisco Bay area. As of yet, I have not been able to track down the name of the theater, or when it was removed. The ornamental shade holder is made of heavy brass-plated cast iron. With a gold tone, and age-appropriate wear and patina. Beautiful! No damage or repairs to any of the metal parts. The large white glass shade has a beautiful design and is in wonderful condition with the original gold or tan stenciled decoration and no chips or cracks. The porcelain socket and wiring are new. This takes ... morea single standard base light bulb. Up to 300 watts. The mounting hardware is included. The shade is large. Measuring 17-1/2 inches tall and 10" wide on each of the four sides. The iron shade holder is 14-1/2" tall and 10" wide, so together with the shade, the height is fairly substantial at 31-1/2" tall, without the connecting chain. The fixture has 23" of original heavy steel chain with a gold finish. Together with the ceiling canopy, all of the chain, fixture and shade, the total height is 56-1/4" The total height from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade can be shortened to 35-1/4" by removing all but one chain link. The chain is very stout, with the sides of each link 1/4" thick. I will be happy to shorten the drop for you before shipment if you let me know. The total weight of the light fixture is about 18 pounds. This is just a fantastic old Art Deco fixture! Understandably. A major concern of buyers is safe packing and shipping. Up for bid is one antique. Art deco orange/green glass light or lamp shade. Shade measures 5-3/4" top to bottom. Fitter measures 3-3/16" outside edge to outside edge. Consists of five panels that converge to a point at end or bottom of shade. Each panel has repeating decorative detail. Predominant color is peach toned orange with lighter green highlights at top of panels. Shade is unmarked. Condition is good. Carved alabaster stone. The alabaster bowl has a strict geometrical, stepped shape and many quartzed veinings that turn black, if the chandelier is lit. The canopy is also made out of alabaster stone. The cord fixture is still original and very typical for antique European chandeliers. Measurements: The total height of the chandelier is 37.4" 95 cm) The center bowl has a diameter of 15.8" 40 cm) and a height of approx. 3.9" 10 cm) The chandelier has a weight of 13.2 lbs(6 kg) Condition: The entire chandelier is in very good. Used condition.
