One shade is in good condition with a few minor inside edge chips. the other shade is about 90% cracked thru. Previous owner said a glass person glued the crack so it wouldn't come apart.I am selling this as is with one good shade and one bad shade.The electrical components were replaced for safety. This auction is for an antique 1920's art deco ceiling light chandelier that is fully functional and ready for installation and use. It consists of 2 parts of thick frosted glass. The upper is clear and the lower shade is light green with a beautiful art deco pattern. The lower part has glass tabs that insert into the slots of the upper part and rests on little ledges when turned 1/4 turn, as designed. The escutcheon plate and bulb holder are made of brass and the total height is approx. 17" This classy and opulent vestibule light appears just lightly used and in very good condition. There is a chip in one of the ledges of the clear round part and the square green part rests securely on the other 3 ledges with no problems and it is guaranteed to be a solid connection as it is and this minor detail cannot be seen when in use. Unique pair of Art Deco lantern interior sconces with original frosted glass panels and polychrome finish. Lantern body and mounting plate green& gold painted finish remains largely intact. Sconce bodies do have some white over spray residue. UL tag remains intact on the back. Retain original bakelite sockets and functional switch. Mounting hardware included. Initially I thought these were exterior sconces. But the lack of a ceramic socket and the presence of a switch on the mounting plate has led me to believe they are unusual interior sconce. I DON'T KNOW THE MAKER OR THE EXACT AGE, BUT THESE ARE LIKELY FROM THE LATE 1920s OR 1930s. THEY HAVE A CIRCULAR FITTER THAT HAS AN OUTSIDE MEASUREMENT OF 1 5/8 INCHES. EACH SHADE IS ABOUT 6 1/2 INCHES TALL IN THE FRONT; 4 1/4 INCHES TALL IN THE BACK; 4 5/8 INCHES ACROSS AT THE WIDEST POINT; AND ABOUT 4 1/2 INCHES DEEP. This is all original. AND GORGEOUS! Has not been tested. As it is the original wiring. I was told this DID work when pulled from the home. This is in BEAUTIFUL condition. Very few(very FEW) minor little flea bites on edge. The spots you see here and there are from my lens.NOT the lamp. This heavy Frosted glass shade measures about 11" across x about 4 1/2" deep. The scones measure 10 1/4" in height with the back plate measuring 4 7/8" wide and it will stand out from the wall 3 1/2" from the back plate to the edge of the glass. The back plate is made of brass. The curvature of the glass measures 3" from the base plate to the maximum curvature and is 4" wide at the base. The glass is 7 1/4" high. The wiring is cotton braided. The light is operated by a turn knob located at the base of the light socket. Labeled on the back of each sconce is a sticker indicating the manufacture as GLOBE LIGHTING PRODUCTS CO. along with a union made label. There are no chips. This is a gorgeous old art deco hanging light shade with an unusual'hanging system' that I am not familiar with. There are three steel pins that go through the glass and attached to them are three steel wires with'heads' on the ends. This shade may have gone to a very specific light or may be repurposed to fit some other style of light. The shade is pressed and frosted glass with a fantastic art deco pattern. Very nice clean Art Nouveau or early Art Deco Lamp Shade made of clear frosted glass. The shade is in clean condition with only some very small chips on the top rim(which is attaching the shade to the light fixture- therefor it will be invisible) The shade is about 6 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The diameter for the top is 2 1/4 inches(outer part of the rim) and 2 inches(inner curve of the rim) all messured on the outside of the rim. Overall a wonderful shade. Please see pics. The frosted pink shade has 2 small chips on inside edge of shade(shown in picture#11) I left the dirt in those 2 chips so they would be easier to see. However they really don't show once cleaned. I tested this fixture and have a few pictures to show it while lit. It really has a nice glow. I did notice though the wires up in the chain have a couple spots where the cloth coating on the old wires has deteriorated. So this light will probably need rewired. Art Deco Lincoln Lighting Flush Ceiling Frosted Slip Shades Glen Falls Series
You are bidding on a Gorgeous Art Deco Lighting Fixture by Lincoln Mfg. of Detroit. C.1935 They had a contract with Sears for a few years and this is from the Sears Hi-Glo Lighting Catalog in the Glen Falls Series. This fixture is for a Flush Ceiling Mount or a Horizontal Wall Mount. You cannot hang this vertically or the slip shade will fall out. I have seen reproductions of this piece online and stated as reproductions. Based on the wiring of this piece I believe it's original. I would suggest due to the age of the wiring that you have it re-wired for your safety. Also the reproductions of this piece have not captured the color or patina that this lovely piece has. Truly a conversation piece. The original catalog listing lists it as"cast metal" gold colored finish. Tinted with color" The slip shade is referred to as"Satin ... moreRose" The fixture is made of metal and measures 16" x 8.25" x 7" The slip shades themselves measure 6" x 3.75" x 3" The metal fixture is in very good condition. Light over paint brush strokes on the edges in some places where the mount would meet the wall as can be seen in the pictures from someone tried painting the ceiling around the fixture. Warm lovely patina. Please use the zoom feature as the pictures offer the best description. Light bulbs are not included. I have seen recommended for this fixture low heat LED bulbs which makes sense since it is a flush mount. I have seen them online for purchase at vintagehardware The slip shades are a lovely mauve or light pink(original catalog calls them Satin Rose) and are in very good condition. The normal flea bites on the edges from being slid in and out when changing bulbs but nothing that can be seen from the outside when slid in mount.
