This listing is for a PAIR OF ANTIQUE ART DECO SLIP SHADE WALL SCONCES W/ AMBER FROSTED SHADES IN ORIGIONAL FINISH REWIRED.The metal sconce has a nickle platted finish. One shade is in good condition with a few minor inside edge chips. the other shade is about 90% cracked thru. Previous owner said a glass person glued the crack so it wouldn't come apart.I am selling this as is with one good shade and one bad shade.The electrical components were replaced for safety. The length is about 11 inches with shade. About 7 in width and extends about 4 1/2 inches from wall. The shade is 1 3/8 inches at base and 5 inches at top. Sides are 5 inches long. 1920's~ANTIQUE ART DECO CHANDELIER~FROSTED GREEN GLASS CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE~VGC
This auction is for an antique 1920's art deco ceiling light chandelier that is fully functional and ready for installation and use. It consists of 2 parts of thick frosted glass. The upper is clear and the lower shade is light green with a beautiful art deco pattern. The lower part has glass tabs that insert into the slots of the upper part and rests on little ledges when turned 1/4 turn, as designed. The escutcheon plate and bulb holder are made of brass and the total height is approx. 17" This classy and opulent vestibule light appears just lightly used and in very good condition. There is a chip in one of the ledges of the clear round part and the square green part rests securely on the other 3 ledges with no problems and it is guaranteed to be a solid connection as it is and this minor detail cannot be seen when in use. The bottom center of the shade is in the form of a compass. The light hangs down about six inches, and measures 10-1/2 inches in diameter. The metal portion of the fixture was custom made in our workshop. And has been finished in a metallic bronze color. This has two new porcelain sockets with new wiring, including a ground wire. I DON'T KNOW THE MAKER OR THE EXACT AGE, BUT THESE ARE LIKELY FROM THE LATE 1920s OR 1930s. THEY HAVE A CIRCULAR FITTER THAT HAS AN OUTSIDE MEASUREMENT OF 1 5/8 INCHES. EACH SHADE IS ABOUT 6 1/2 INCHES TALL IN THE FRONT; 4 1/4 INCHES TALL IN THE BACK; 4 5/8 INCHES ACROSS AT THE WIDEST POINT; AND ABOUT 4 1/2 INCHES DEEP. The scones measure 10 1/4" in height with the back plate measuring 4 7/8" wide and it will stand out from the wall 3 1/2" from the back plate to the edge of the glass. The back plate is made of brass. The curvature of the glass measures 3" from the base plate to the maximum curvature and is 4" wide at the base. The glass is 7 1/4" high. The wiring is cotton braided. The light is operated by a turn knob located at the base of the light socket. Labeled on the back of each sconce is a sticker indicating the manufacture as GLOBE LIGHTING PRODUCTS CO. along with a union made label. There are no chips. Very nice clean Art Nouveau or early Art Deco Lamp Shade made of clear frosted glass. The shade is in clean condition with only some very small chips on the top rim(which is attaching the shade to the light fixture- therefor it will be invisible) The shade is about 6 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The diameter for the top is 2 1/4 inches(outer part of the rim) and 2 inches(inner curve of the rim) all messured on the outside of the rim. Overall a wonderful shade. Please see pics. Great age patina as you can see in the pictures. All glass inserts and shades are original to the chandelier. All in very good condition. There were to many of these chandelier made at the time comparing to other styles in that time period of time. There were just a few city's around the world that were very much influenced by the art deco style. New York and Miami and some parts of San Francisco as some examples. As you can see in the pictures. This chandelier is made out of bronze and the glass shades and inserts, the stem up is made out of wood. I am pleased to offer a stunning frosted glass and chrome Art Deco wall sconce in very good condition. It measures 10" high and 5 1/4" in width. The glass is free of chips and cracks. There are a couple of minor wear marks to the frosting and surface wear to the chrome that can be cleaned. I recommend re-wiring all vintage fixtures for safety reasons. For secure shipment. The glass will be detached from the chrome setting and bubble-wrapped separately. Up for bid is this beautiful Vintage Art Deco Ceiling Light Fixture Cover Frosted& Raised Glass Rose Design With a Decorative Brass Trim. The cover is about 13 1/8" across and about 3 1/8" Deep. It has a beautiful thick clear glass raised rose flowers and leaves design with a frosted background. Light cover is in very good condition I could not find any chips or cracks. It has no cracks or major chips. It feels a little rough around the top inside egde in two places. It is not noticeable be it is the top inside edge. But still needed mentioning. Up for sale is a great original vintage 1930's art deco frosted NICELY detailed glass round ceiling light shade/lamp fixture. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks(has a fewminor scruff marks) Please see photos for exact condition. It has a pink frosted glass with a nice raised pattern. Has a nicely detailed glass edging around the light fixture and a nicely detailed dome in the center, overall has an EXCELLENT look to it! It has three small holes that were used to hold the fixture onto the ceiling, these are original and only have a few very minor chips around the edge of the hole.
