They would also work well to frame ... morea piece of art. These have an eye catching shape and the metal has great detail. They will add a dramatic effect to whatever location you choose for them. The milk glass cylinder shades slip on and cover the sockets. There are two light bulbs included. I tested them and they are both currently working. The metal brackets used for securing the fixtures are also included. These are in nice condition overall. There is some age wear. The chrome may shine up more with a polishing. There are some minor paint drippings that are around the perimeter. I have only lightly dusted these. The finish is a little dull. But there is no pitting, rust or damage. These do have different switches on them. I haven't tested these, I am really not handy with electrical wiring. The sockets are ceramic, so they are likely original. The milk glass looks good. There are no cracks in the shades. The bottom rim has the typical roughness of a glass shade. The bulb sockets on these take a standard size. These measure 17" long and 2.5" wide. They will extend from the wall about 2.25" These are sure to make a dramatic impact in any deco. Industrial, or machine age decor. Which are both in working condition. The shade is frosted and has some blemishes(scrapes, discoloration etc. due to age. The chrome has some pitting and discoloration spots. It shows it's age, as this is a vintage fixture. In order to change the bulb. You have to pull on both of the side arms to release the shade(similar to the function of a toilet paper holder) I don't think the switch is original to the fixture. But I think the original looked similar to this, although it may have been a push button. This is a toggle switch. Perfect light to go over a bathroom vanity or it could be hung directly on the ceiling. Try it sideways as a sconce! Many wonderful purposes for this cool retro lights. I deal a lot in light fixtures and this one is fairly unique and uncommon. It came out of an old craftsman style house in Carytown in Richmond. VA. Please ask any and all questions! Hello. I have for sale a pair of Art Deco style molded glass and chrome wall sconces, each frosted pink shade is decorated with a ribbed motif and central figure of a nude in relief, set in a chrome frame. I was told they were made in Holland. I am a guy whose taste is not quite this style. By the pictures you can see they do operate. Unfortunately one does have a very tiny nick. This does not affect the looks though when the glass is sitting in the chrome frame. They measure 9 1/2"high, 10 1/2 wide and weigh approx. 5 lb. I hope the pictures and info help. Any? I’m very pleased to offer this rare and striking pair of 1930s chrome and glass sconces by Levolite. And from their After Daylight line! The glass scones are a cream colored glass. Not painted glass but solid cream glass in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. It’s incredibly hard finding such a pair with their glass shades in excellent condition. They are almost always lost or broken. The sconces were made by Levolite. The company was at 184 Grand Street in NYC. The building is. Today, no doubt high-end condos. 2 narrow light bulbs included. Tested and checked working great. While such sconces would have normally been used in a bathroom. Sorry. No International Shipping. Please note that our photos are below the item description. This great pair of vintage chrome sconces are 21" tall and 3" wide across the widest part of the backs. The chrome shades on the front are 18" tall and 3" wide. We haven't cleaned or worked on them at all. They are in good original condition but are in need of some restoration. The chrome plating is 100% intact and they would polish up beautifully. Their only imperfections are: there is some old paint residue along the sides of the sconces(the only large spot seen in the second photo and the close up just below it) and there is a bit of bending in the brackets that hold the shades in place(4th row of photos) Again please note that you are only seeing dirt in the close ups not scratches or missing chrome. There are no other ... moredamages of any sort on the sconces. The sconces hold a 17" long flourescent bulb(one bulb is there and is included. One is missing) We did not know how to remove the shades and try the sconces so please assume they need to be totally rewired and electrified. The chrome is in good condition for their age nice and shiny with some minor scratches most of which are covered by the glass shades. The glass shades are in great condition too with no chips or cracks. These have their old cloth wiring so probably will need rewiring. They appear to be all original. This auction includes a set of two vintage small white art deco glass shades which have rough cut top and bottom rims. I have seen these type of shades on the old chrome wall sconce fixtures. They measure approximately 4 1/4" tall(one is slightly taller) By approximately 3" across the top openings. The smaller fitter ends measure just over 1 5/8" across to the outer edges. Both are in very good condition. And have no chips or cracks overall. There is minor roughness with some small chiggers to the small fitter rims which is typical on rough cut shades. A nice example of pieces of this era. Protruding about 6 3/4" and 4 3/4" at its widest point, where it is mounted to the wall. The shade is about 4" X 4 3/4" wide with a fitter of about 3 1/8" 3 1/4, which is held in place by well-fitting, sturdy screws. The shade is in great condition. It measures 5 1/8" across at the top and is 3 1/8" tall. It has some roughness around the fitter, looks to be from manufacturer and is not visible when in light. The light does have a pull chain as shown, it does work. The wiring is in working condition as shown, but does look to be original. 2 Antique White Glass VITROLITE Ceiling Light Fixtures w/Shades Art Deco Chrome Hello Bidders, Thank you for stopping here to look. In this auction I have a pair of vintage or antique ceiling light fixtures with shades. Both are made of white glass"Vitrolite" that was used in businesses and homes. Mainly bathrooms in the early 1900's into the mid-century. The pair I have are stacked square ceiling mount. They still have porcelain and brass hardware or sockets that can be removed. They have a brass chrome plated fitter with three screws. The shades are also made of vitrolite. Not white milk glass. This glass is more opaque. They are round bell like shaped. The fixtures size is 6" x 6" square flush to the ceiling. The fitter for the shades. This is the chrome part, 2-1/2" d. The drop with the shades is 7-3/4" ... moreand the bottom of the shades is 6-3/4"d. Their condition is very good. Not chips, cracks, or repairs. There are tiny nicks or fleabites around the top of the shade that goes into the fitter. This cant be seen when put together. There are holes in the fixtures for screwing them up to the ceiling and one other hole for a switch if needed. These fixtures have a nice Art Deco period look. Thank you again for looking.
