This fixture was installed in the library of a huge“1898” Queen Anne style summer home located in Harbor Springs. Michigan. Most of this home still relied on the original“knob and tube” wiring for its electrical power. The first floor ceilings of this home were 11' high. A few of the ceiling fixtures were controlled by pull chain switches due to the lack of wall switches. This fixture was originally equipped with a pull chain switch. Photo#10 shows the hole where the switch was installed. This ornate fixture has great detailing and is in very good condition. It has an overall height of 36-3/4” from top of canopy to the bottom tip of the finial) The widest point of the ... morefixture is approximately 22” measuring to the edges of shades. This fixture was just re-wired and new socket insulators were installed. It has been gently cleaned so as not to disturb the aged patina. All three of the original solid brass“Fat Boy” sockets have mica centers and are in very good condition. They are marked"Edison Patents 250V 50 C.P" The paddle key switches are marked“Bryant” The 2-1/4" shade fitters are marked"PAT. The cross hatched cut glass design and the delicate beaded ruffle enhance the overall beauty of this light. Shades measure 4-3/4" high. I washed it up and found a small stain on the neck edge(picture 4) There were 1 or 2 very tiny spots that would not wash off, about the size of a pin tip, these are very hard to see in the bubble pattern. In the last 4 pictures, I took a small flashlight and laid it inside. In the first 3 of these, the flashlight was on"red" the last picture the light was on"white" In picture 8. I put a green cloth inside to help show the bubble pattern. I examined the shade all over and can not find any chips, there in one very small, rough spot about 1 inch down from the tip, it rests on the"seam line" that swirls at the very top. The inside of the shade has ... morethe bubble pattern in it, it bubbles outwards. The hole measures 3-1/4 inches across outside edges. The total shade measures 5-1/2 inches tall. It worked perfectly before we removed it and cut the wires. I don't believe that it was original with this 1890s house. But probably added between 1930-1950 when new. 5.5" Long, 4.25" Wide. Pretty sure it's made of brass.it weighs around 10 lbs. I looked all over. But could not find a maker's mark. If you have any idea of who the maker might be, please let me know. I'm very curious. Measuring from the rim of the mount to the bottom of the dangling"tassle" is about 37" Widest width about 19" The leaf design around the bulb area has a red/green tint. It only appears to be on certain areas though. A cool effect. I have not attempted to clean this. I will let the buyer do that as they wish. It does need a detailed cleaning. Quite sure this will need rewired. The cardboard pieces around where the bulbs go ... moreare worn. Still cool though. I can only imagine what this will look like after it's cleaned. Hung and lit. Old Vintage Antique Victorian Gothic Bronze Gargoyle or Griffin Sconce Gas Light. It is approx 16" tall and 16" wide without lamp part added. It is made of bronze except for the tail and the lamp which are made of wrought iron. There is a bat figure as the knob which turns the gas to it on or off. The lamp needs a new clip to secure it in place right. Now it just hangs on by its tail. You can make one from a paper clip or something like that I'm sure. There is some kind of gold paint on it and it looks like there is a small crack in the decorative piece above the wings. Other than that it's in great shape for its age. Size: The brass frame stands about 13" tall x 8" wide The glass is 3-3/4" tall x 6-3/4" wide at the widest and 5-7/8" wide at the base I got this at an Estate Sale so I don't know the history. The heavy Brass frame is original. It has some paint where it mounts to the ceiling. Based on the old wiring. It appears that the light socket could be original. It works! Very rare antique fixture! Have never seen one like it! When found. It's true beauty was hidden under layer-after-layer of paint. The outer layer was a dull white latex that completely hid the wonderful details that surround the collar of the fixture. Once it was stripped, the details came into view, revealing the graceful swags, flowers, and shells of classic Victorian design. The fixture is rather large. Measuring 14" in diameter, and reaching 8 1/2" from ceiling to finial tip without the bulbs. 2 RARE matching antique chandeliers Victorian ceiling light fixture vintage lamp
I have many old fixtures listed and more on the way. This is a great find 2 matching early light fixtures both still working and look good as they are. For daily use you would want to restore the wiring. These have wear as you would expect for anything 100 years old. They are in great shape for their age and restoration would be easy for anyone that does it on a regular basis. These are made of some plaster type material so repairing would be easy you could just fill them in and sand them down. I doubt you'll ever see another set like this again. Their aren't many fixtures from this era left especially still working. The size without bulbs is about 13 inches wide. The chain is 21 inches long of course that can be changed, and the overall size with chain is currently 33 inches.

Vintage 5 light chandelier.It does need cleaned up. Rewired and possibly painted if you wish. It has the old cloth wiring so I would suggest a professional to rewire it. Measures 20 inches accross x 18 inches high, with the chain and ceiling mount it measures 31 inches total. Weighs 5 lbs and made out of some kind of metal,not sure what. Chandelier has leaves and flowers all of metal, please see pictures. Sold as is. Nice ornate piece.
