They hold four shades by Muller freres. This model is refered to as tulipe aux rideaux in the old catalogues. The sconces are 39 cm high(15-3/8" and 24 cm wide. Depth of about 12 cm. This model Muller shade is always signed but it's a tiny signature very close to the hole on top of the shades and so almost always large parts of the Muller freres Luneville signature was grinded away by the factory when flattening the top after the shade came out of the mold. The fixtures are signed Codure Lyon at the back. Check my other listings to see two more pairs of wall sconces by Codure. The lamps are rewired. There is what looks like a 2 in two places(one place is hidden) And the numbers 34007 on the back. The sconces are. I believe, mostly cast brass. They are silver-plated. The candle covers that came with the sconces are brass tubes painted white. Most of the paint has flaked off, likely due to the heat of the bulbs. I cannot confirm if these covers are original or not. I replaced them with off-white cardboard covers(although I will include the metal ones in the shipping box) Please also note the original mounting buttons. The sconces are 14-inches high. 9-1/2-inches wide, and they project 4-inches. The part of the backplate that would mount over an electrical box is about 2-1/4 wide by 3-1/8 high. So. Antique Matched pair Coach lights Carriage 21" Candle Wall Sconces Nickel Silver
Up for consideration is a very early pair of Stagecoach. Coach, Buggy, or horse drawn Wagon candle lights. They measure 22 inches in height by 5 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches deep. The pair date from the 1880's or earlier. The hinged doors are in good condition with no chip or cracks to the beveled glass. The interior looks to have been cleaned often of which the silver plating has worn revealing the copper base metal. In the photo there shows long strings that were used by the previous owner. On the back there are metal tab handles used to open and close the lights. They could be used to mount them. They probably had brackets which held the pieces. Antique Art Nouveau Silver Toned Metal Candle Sconce with Clear Crystal Prisms
This gorgeous antique silver tone Art Nouveau candle sconce for the wall is about 10" wide at its widest point and about 5 1/2" high measuring from the tops of the candle cups to the bottoms of the metal arms that hold them. It includes 11 clear crystal prisms that are 5" long. One prism is missing the top round piece. Three prisms need new wire to attach them to the bottoms of the drip cups. These parts are readily available at any lamp store. The metal itself is in perfect condition with no dents. Scratches or deformities. Please refer to pictures 11 and 12 to determine how to best mount this sconce. Coincidentally, I was at an antique store today and saw two very similar sconces in gold that were missing the prisms. Antique Moe-Bridges Silver-Plated Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier, Croydon NC1506
This a beautiful antique five-light Art Deco chandelier with original slip-in shades by Moe Bridges. Circa 1931, found in a house in downtown Nashville. Part of the Croydon series, this chandelier begins with a top finial that is ornamented with a leaf detail and swoops down to the body of the chandelier with polychrome crested bands. The silver plated body of the fixture features volute, foliate, and floral designs with silver column clusters between each slip shade. The original slipper shades display lattice work surrounding crested shields. The chandelier finishes with a complementary foliate embellished rounded base and a small acorn finial. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is in very good condition with no cracks ... moreor breaks, just the expected fleabite around the edges. Antique Vtg Ghidini Bronze Silver Double Wall Sconce Lighting Globes Art Deco Beautiful antique vintage dual socket wall sconce with original frosted and fluted globes shades by Ghidini Bronze. Wired and ready to install. Comes with mounting plate and center screw(in the middle of the flower on plate) Fixture came from my grandmother's house. Fixture has a brushed silver finish and intricate design. Top and bottom band of the glass shades are frosted with a fleur de lis medallion design and the middle band is clear ribbed glass. Screws that hold globes onto fixture are rusty and can easily be replaced. If need be. I am not an expert on this type of item. I will describe what I see. Globes are very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is green on the arms that hold the globes which I believe is patina. Patina would be able to ... morebe seen if hung on the wall with the globes pointing down. Hung with globes pointing up would not be noticeable) Patina is removable. There are some spots on the area below where the bulb and globe go.
