Up for auction is an antique light fixture. Probable for a porch. Looks like an outdoor fixture. The fixture is metal. Painted white. The globe is white glass. The acorn at the end of the glass is cast aluminum. It uses a standard size bulb. I don't know if it works. I have no way of testing it. It's in good used condition. No cracks. Chips, or breaks. One very tiny chip on the globe edge that goes into the fixture, hardly noticeable. Some surface rust on the metal, paint worn/faded. Globe has scuffs and marks. Looks like a new socket has been put into it. Has the original screws that hold the globe on. It measures 12" long. Fixture is 5 1/4" diameter, globe is about 6" diameter, opening that goes into the fixture is 3 1/8" diameter. This is a wonderful pair of vintage metal Mission Arts and Crafts style Porch/Bungalow lights. Not an expert on material but I did a magnet test& it DOES NOT adhere to the metal. These are ceiling hanging fixtures with stunning caramel-colored slag glass panels. The slag glass even has a gorgeous iridescence to it. The tops look like they are riveted. The light sockets inside are still intact& usable. The sockets feel& look like porcelain. The wiring is CLOTH original to the fixtures and is still intact. Was told at the estate sale lights were hanging in place and working just fine, however, you might want to have an electrician to check them over since it still has the antique cloth wiring. Both fixtures are in exceptionally good condition for the age. Appears to have been in their original location and hung there for many many ... moreyears. The textured amber glass I was told is original to the fixtures and ALL PANELS are in good condition with no cracks or breaks. I did notice one of the panels are inserted in reverse and probably hung that way unnoticed. Also the cap that hugs the ceiling is missing on one but should be an easy replacement. vintage antique porch light by Imperialites.sticker still on back with model number.C-85487.also says Underwriter Laboratories Inc Electric Fixture Imperialites this is a great old light fixture.its very heavy.you can see the last pic with just the weight of the glass by itself.Im not sure of the type of metal.it has a brushed finish with small black triangular indents.some of which have faded or lost color from being out in the elements.or have dirt on them.very easy to restore.theres a bit of black paint missing around the edges also.that is the extent of any damage. the glass is very thick and has spikes going down each side with beveled panels and a scalloped shape bottom edge.it is in mint condition.and held in place by 3 screws.easily detaches. the top knob unscrews.also holds the light bulb socket in place which is still there and ... morelooks nice.appears to be ceramic. there are some wires still showing thru the back.I do not know if this is in working condition but I would suggest replacing the wires for safety reasons due to its age this needs to be cleaned.there is some dirt residue still present from being outside this looks much better in person than in the photos.which makes it look really horrible.its just a little dirty on the top compared to the back plate, 8" in overall height including top knob top piece measures 5.5x5.5" square the glass globe is a bit smaller below it and when in place is 4.5" tall bottom of glass measures 3.5x3.5" square top knob is 2-3/8" tall overall 6.25" deep including back plate any questions.please email Powered by The free listing tool. Turn of the Century Antique Hanging Porch Light Art Noveau A & C Iron Copper
For your consideration is this stunning turn of the century Art Noveau hanging porch light. This fabulous light has Art Nouveau detailing and is made of heavy iron with a copper roof and canopy. The beautiful glass is original to the light and is gorgreous when lit or not. The total length of the light is 36" The chain and canopy measure 19" and the light is 17" tall including iron hoop on top and it is 11" across. The chain is handmade iron chain each link is over 4" long. It has been rewired, so it is ready to hang and enjoy. It has a new porcelain socket that takes a standard Edison base light bulb. One corner of the roof has a small split as shown in photo# 7, and there are some bumps and dents in the roof. There are a few drips of paint on top as shown and on two sides at the bottom, the iron rails are pulled ... moreaway a bit, but feel very secure. Note the hammer marks and detail on the axe and hanger. This pair of lights measure 14" tall by 5 1/4" wide and stand out from the wall 7 1/2" The sconces have their original textured glass shades. One of the shades does have three chips around the fitter mouth, it does not affect them holding in the fitter and does not show when the sconces are together. Gorgeous antique light fixture. Featuring a cylinder amber glass shade in a brass fixture, four rods with finials on both ends hold the glass shade in place. The fixture is solid brass, it has a brass toned paint on it which is original, this could be stripped however and this would really shine. It has some minor stress marks and dents typical of brass, but nothing major, some wear but could easily be used and displayed as it is. It has been rewired with a porcelain socket and new wiring and could take a 100 watt bulb if desired. Original mounting hardware. This auction is for ONE old. Handmade porch or outdoor light. The light the winner receives, may or may not be pictured, but the two main differences between the lights is how much exterior paint is on them and how much twist there is on the 1/4" square stock welded to the light. It is probably an antique. But I haven't been able to verify that. I am told these were taken off a local church in the Williams, AZ area. It was definitely on a building when someone repainted it. That is why you see paint on the parts that would have been against the wall. The previous owner told me that the glass is handblown. When you run your hand on the glass. Pieces of it tries to grab you. The 1/4" square stock looks like it was heated& hand twisted. Before it was welded to the frame. Rate of twist varies from bar to bar on the light. Some ... moreare 1 twist per inch. Some are 1 twist per 2 inch. The wires are pretty old& I don't trust the insulation. A vintage cast iron light fixture with lightly textured ruby red glass panels. Measures approximately 11-1/2" tall to the top of the hanger finial x 4¾" in diameter at the widest point. The mounting plate measures approximately 6" in diameter. The glass panels are free from chips or cracks. Overall condition is good. There are small two cracks in the cast iron on one side which does not affect the soundness of the fixture- please see picture#6, the cast iron is oxidized, it will need new wiring and will benefit from a more thorough cleaning.

Nice looking vintage lamp. Has a little paint on rim. Signs of wear but sits straight and no damage. Glass globe inside has a little chipping on one spot where it meets the housing. You can see condition in the pics. Solid with all nuts and screws. Just needs mount bar which is easy to find. I will try to take a picture when lighted soon. Antique Hallway / Porch Hanging Light 1940's
This is a antique hanging hallway or porch light that came out of a beach cottage in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. The ceiling fixture is a little over 5" with a chain that hangs down 24" The next piece that holds the bulb and globe is 3.5" with a wide pretty detailed trim. Someone at some point decided to paint it white with some kind of gold flecks. I'm not sure if it's the original globe but it fits well. Cleaned up and some TLC will make a great light. Antique Porch Light or Post Mount Cage Lamp Fixture Salvage Non Electric
Please enlarge and review the photos carefully so you can get a sense of just how unusual this lamp really is. We acquired it at an architectural salvage auction. I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find another one like it and been unable to do so. It is metal, but I can't guess what kind as it is not terribly heavy for its huge size. I believe it would have been either a porch lamp or a post mounted lamp and may have served to hold either a lantern or a very large candle. It has never been electrified. It would come out almost 12" from wherever it was mounted. The length from the bottom of the ball to the top of the spire is about 19-1/2" The cage part looks like chicken wire. The top lifts up and down and latches so that the lantern or candle can be inserted and/or maintained. The fancy little latch is in ... moreperfect working order. There are no dents and the lamp is actually in very good condition except for the heavy surface rust which has completely overtaken the entire piece. The wire is slightly pushed in. Probably from the lamp having leaned against another object, but it is minor and can probably be easily straightened. I date this piece to the late 1800s or early 1900s. This is an auction piece. Being sold as described, as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking, fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, other types of storage odors or pets. Vintage Antique Ceiling Fixture Porch Light Japanned Finish Tudor Mission A & C
For your consideration is this wonderful antique Japanned Finish Porch Light Fixture. The details just make this light. Including the riveted roof, and the rings around the light, the Japan finish chain. This light is from the 1920's or 30's and measures 33 3/4" tall including the 17" chain and canopy and measures 11" wide. It has it's original hand poured, textured amber glass and all of the tabs that hold the glass are intact. The glass does have some flaws, due to being hand poured, these are not cracks, there are no chips or cracks in the glass. The light is in great condition, as shown it does have wonderful character of old patina. I am not sure if the light is brass, that has been copper plated and Japanned or Copper, but it is one or the other. The bottom is open as shown and the socket is porcelain. Lovely Vintage antique copper porch/cottage light
Here's a sweet vintage copper and bronze light that will really add warmth to your porch. Deck etc. The hexagon shaped wall base is made of hammered copper. The arm holding the light is solid cast bronze, in a sort of leaf design(acanthus leaf? with the finial as part of the cast. I have never seen anything like this arm. Beautiful detail, held onto the base with 2 bronze bolts and nuts. The 2 piece porcelain socket is a highly-rated 550 watts/350 volts, so you have no electrical worries. The lamp itself is also hexagon shaped, with a hammered copper roof. Copper splines complete the light and hold 6 textured amber glass panels in place. The lamp has a great copper patina. I completely disassembled this fixture. Cleaned it thoroughly, removed the ugly green paint someone had painted it( and rewired it, so it is good to go. Hangar included ... morewith 2 knurled copper/bronze caps to finish the look and secure the fixture to the hangar and wall. This is a great antique copper and brass porch light. It is a heavy well built fixture. The chain and glass guards are heavy solid brass. The body of the fixture is copper. The top has some slight bends along with a couple of broken spots. One cornes is ready to break off and may do so during shipping. It is missing its bottom access door except. The glass is not smooth and it has a pebbled look. The porcelain socket looks good but it will need to be rewired. Overall this fixture is in fair to good condition for its age. You can remove the top of the body, which is held on with four screws, you could put that panel in the rear section and it would never be seen. As you can see the old paint needs to be stripped and new wire, for safety, should be installed. The decorative curly side trim measures 17" end to end.
