This is an antique solid brass student lamp. It is marked Manhattan Brass Co. NY. Pat. May 23. 76 and Dec. 25, 77 and May 20, 79 and is in very good condition. It retains its original milk glass shade. The shade is very thin and is hand blown. There are some flea bites around the top of the shade. But there are no cracks or chips. The lamp has been electrified but it can be reverted back to kerosene without any damage to the lamp. The oil reservoir is the locking type and iserts and twists to keep it in place. Please see all photos as they are the best representation of condition. The lamp stands 20-1/2" tall overall and the base is 6" in diameter. Check my feedback and Bid with confidence! Up for sale today is a PAIR of very large milk glass light shades or globes. They are about 20 inches in diameter and about 12 inches tall. The fixture side is about 8 inches in diameter. There is a small 1/2" hole on the bottom. These came out of a commercial building that was built at about 1900. There are the expected chips along the opening but otherwise are in very good condition. I believe that this is the same type used in school houses and other public buildings; I remember seeing similar ones in the old courthouse. Please look at the pictures carefully and ask questions. Antique Art Deco Skyscraper Light Fixture - Milk Glass - Vintage Chandelier
Available here is an antique art deco light fixture. It has a beautiful skyscraper style milk glass shade. The shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a 6" fitter. The shade only stands approximately 11.5" tall and is approximately 12" across at its widest. The fixture looks to be brass and has been partially painted over. I am not sure of the best way to remove the paint and will let the new owner decide what to do. It has the original socket and cloth wrapped wiring. I have not tested it and would recommend rewiring it for safety. Rewiring this would be pretty simple since it is a single socket. When hung. Here we have a very cool Machine Age Edison wall sconce with a really great japanned brass finish and 8 inch antique flat milk glass shade. Including the shade this lamp will stick out about 14 1/2 inches from your wall. This has a great early Edison socket with a Bryant turn paddle that has mica used as an insulator as shown in photo 12. This sconce is a rare find and has a great look to it. Vtg. Antique- Lg. School House -Industrial Ceiling Fixture Light - Milk ? Glass
Offered is a great old ceiling mount fixture. I know its definately Vintage, Possibally antique but not sure. It's like a school house or industrial style, Has a large white glass globe, that I think would be a milk glass, The globe alone measures 16" across center, 10" deep or tall and the opening including its lip is 6" across center, when placed on metal Holder/ Fixture it hangs down approx. 14" from ceiling. Its Holder is a bit unique from most, instead of having screws that hold on the glass it has a colar with clips, once collar is off, you slip the globe on and then the colar goes over 2 tabs and you twist the colar to lock on the globe. The holder looks to me to be a sorta brushed aluminum and the colar I think is either a thicker aluminum or steel possibally. The Glass is in very nice condition with no cracks, ... morehas some tiny knicks on glass right around the opening on lip. The metal holder shows age of scratches and spotting(nothing major) but you could always paint it if you wanted it to look newer. Its a tiny bit indented where screws went, most likely from over tightening it a bit and the area that fits right up to ceiling has a round hole which I think may have had either a switch or pull type chain at some point coming out of it but it must have been removed.Its works fine and the socket is porcelain. antique wall mount hobnail milk glass hanging light fixture swivel cast iron?
This is a rare and unique wall mounted light fixture. All hardware is included. The light hangs from a metal(cast iron? rod. And can swivel back and forth. The wiring. In my uneducated opinion, will need to be, at the minimum, repaired, and possibly replaced. Where the metal rod comes down, there is exposed cloth wiring about 4 inches in length where there should not be any. The total drop length of the light is 25" The wiring is of the cloth type and in places is very frayed. There is a clear glass hurricane surrounding the light bulb. Outside the hurricane, the lampshade is made of hobnail milk glass. This would be an exceptional piece and is well worth any repair that needs to be made. Antique VTG Leviton milk glass electric wall sconce light lamp 110 plug no shade
Up for your consideration is an antique wall-mounted sconce light. It features a lovely Victorian style opaque white milk-glass globe. Atop of which sits a brass Leviton light socket. This uses one standard-size light bulb and turns on and off with a toggle push switch. It works great as you can see in the picture. The rest is made of some sort of heavyweight metal(I'm guessing iron) that has been painted over with glossy beige colored paint. As you can also see in the pictures, the fixture sits a little crooked in relation to the metal base, probably from people running into it over the years. The parts can be moved and adjusted easily(in my opinion) but I didn't want to mess it up, so I will leave that for the new owner to deal with. It is wired with a standard vintage 110 non-polarized plug, which will fit into any standard US ... moreelectrical outlet. So, no electrician required! There is no shade to cover the bulb. My guess is it was probably lost or broken with the passage of time. It should be easy to replace and find one to your liking if you search more here on ebay! Up at auction today we are offering a set of three antique light diffusers made by the corning company. They measure 4 7/8" tall. Are 6" in diameter on the bottom, and 2 1/8" on the top lip. Inside the globes it is embossed"corning" and"No. 820090" outside features a"waffle" like pattern all the way around, with a 1" smooth rim around the bottom. 2 of these are pristine-just like new, the third has 1 small chip on the bottom rim that is almost unnoticeable( so much in fact, I tried to get it to show up in pictures with my camera, but you couldn't make it out) These would be great for any restoration effort where authenticity is a must! Antique hanging swag lamp with base. Socket and white milk glass globe with a hand painted design. The turn type switch says Leviton on it and all seems to be in good condition for it's age. May want to rewire it before installation as it is all original and has the cloth covered wiring. It hangs down about 35" and the base is 5" across. The globe is 4 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" across the open end and has a 2" fitter. I have described the items condition to the best of my knowledge. Antique frosted milk glass light fixture globe set of 2 vintage diffuser NICE!
Up at auction today we are offering a VERY nice set of two antique milk glass light diffusers. They are bell shaped. Measure 5 3/8" tall, are 4 1/4" in diameter on the bottom, and 2 3/16" on the top lip. Outside of these are a frosted finish, and the inside is glossy finish.They are in excellent condition for globes that are reaching 100 years old! They have no chips or cracks, but each one does have a tiny chip on the upper lip where the screws hold it into the fixture, but when mounted, you cannot see them, nor do they affect their function. They have a beautiful pattern, just look at the photos! Looks like a tulip pattern with round"bumps" around the bottom, with a 2 piece"ridge" then a series of arches, followed by indented ribs running to the top.
