Up for consideration is a fine set of 4 or 2 pair of Antique French Wall Sconces. The sconces date from about 1910 or so and measure 14 1/2 inches tall by about 10 inches by 5 inches deep. This set consists of 3 arms on each piece with great casting and super casting. As with good fine quality French Sconces they are cast in many separate pieces. The backplate consists of 3 separate pieces. There is a lacey bowtie top cascading down and tying into the top of the torch with descending bell flowers in the center body of the torch. Up for auction is this pair(2) of LARGE Vintage Bronze/Brass French Louis XVI Style Wall Sconces. They were purchased in France in the late 1970s and rewired about 15 years ago. They were installed in my old home and I have moved- thought I would use them but have gone more modern! So my lovely lights can now be yours! They feature ribbons. Swags, urns and floral accents. They are in excellent condition given their age and would look lovely in a tradtional, Franch or even a Hollywood Regency style decor. They measure approx. 23" long x 10" wide x 7" projection. They have a large decorated Oval back plate and two ornate arms and a large center light decorated with ornate Acanthus leaves. Pair 1880's Antique French Louis XV Rococo Style Bronze Wall Candelabra Sconces
Up for auction is a Gorgeous Pair of 1880's Ornately Detailed French Style Heavy Bronze Guilted Wall Candle Sconces. Very Ornate with Scrolling Leaf Designs and Turning Swirls. Both with 5 candle holding arms. Very attractive pair of early Wall Sconces or Candelabras. No markings found. One sconce still has the gold gilt leaf on the wall mount and on the scalloped candle arms holder. The other one is still showing mostly silver paint which has been on for a long time and has the Gold Gilt Leaf showing through the silver paint. No damage or repairs on either one. I believe they could be solid bronze but can't guarantee it. There are two top candle drip pieces that screw off and were stripped years ago showing the old solid bronze metal(Pic. 5- 8) It also shows through in different areas on both sconces. All 10 top 2 piece drip plates ... moreunscrew off for easy cleaning. These were bought out of an old Hotel which was being torn down. The two Candelabras were mounted on the sides of an old Marble Top Fire Place Mantel. They are complete and ready for mounting. One has the two original wall mounting brackets and the other one has only the one(Pic. 11& 12) These will be beautiful if refinished. They are also beautiful in the condition they are presently in. Entirely up to the buyer. This is a very useful set and would look lovely in a restored Victorian Home. Please see all pictures and ask any questions. Be sure to use close up. Antique Pair of Bronze Rectangular Mirror Back French Sconces Foliate Scrolls
A pair of bronze mirror back wall sconces. This pair was assembled- we bought one of the sconces at a New Jersey Auction and were very surprised to find a matching sconce a week later at a Pennsylvania flea market. There are minor differences- if you examine the pictures you will see that the switch keys are different and the turnings on the brass columns are also a bit different. One finish is a gilt bronze- the other is a polished bronze. Unless you install them side by side you should not really notice the difference. The backs each measure 8 1/2 by 11 inches(22 by 28cm) The total height is 16 inches and they protrude 6 inches from the wall They are rewired for wall installation and both switches work One sconce has very minor tarnish and no fogging to the mirror- it has a wood back The other sconce has some spots of dark tarnish to the ... moremirror and also no fogging. it has a cardboard back International postage by Priority or Express mail only

They are gilt bronze with a warm patina and each sconce has two hooped arms with foliate drip trays carrying the electric fitting. They are hung with gorgeous ground crystals in flat and lozenge shape from all the hoops and held by pretty glass florets and tiny beads. They are in excellent condition and working order but the wiring is vintage and it would be prudent to check it before use. They measure approximately 10 ins in height.
