Antique Vintage Light Fixture Flush Mount Cast Plaster 3 Light
Here is a nice old flush mount ceiling fixture that was found in with a lot of other fixtures so I'm not positive of the age. The fixture is cast plaster with stamped brass socket bells and finial. Based on other fixtures that I've handled. I would estimate this to be from the 1920's-30's. Please note: this will need a complete re-wire. I'm sure that has been painted over the years. Since the back of the fixture is a gold color(see pics) There are a few small nicks/chips along the edge of the fixture where it meets the ceiling but overall it's in good shape(see pics) There is only one socket. The other 2 bells are not attached and have no sockets. There are also a few stress cracks in the bells. Antique 1920's Gill Glass Flush Mount Ceiling Fixture
Offering an Art Deco 1920's Gill Glass Flush Mount ceiling fixture. Th e pale yellow glass shade is decorated with scroll work and florals and has a metal rossette on the underside with 4 antique bell shaped amber glass prisms. The flush mount fixture is embossed with an attractive two sided floral design. It is a gold gilt color where it meets the ceiling and a silver metal where it attaches to the shade. We have cleaned both the shade and the fixture and put a coat of linseed oil on fixture to keep rust at bay. Original excellent condition and all parts for wiring are there, it will need new wiring, shade has no cracks or breaks. Antique Glass flush mount ceiling light fixture Daisy & Btton Pattern
Antique flush mount clear glass ceiling light. Base has a white coating on the inside of the clear glass. It also has a pattern that looks similar to a birds foot print with three small marks with a small space inbetween them and they are raised in glass. Middle of the light the clear glass is in a button daisy pattern. it does have a seem on this part. The shade is a very pointy hobnail or dew drop pattern with some points smaller and some larger. I believe this dates early 1900's to 1930's due to the knob and tube wiring it is copper wire with cloth cover. Unknown maker I researched a consideral amount of time trying to find out what company was the maker and was not able to find another one or one with similar patterns together. For the age it is in very good condition the shade does not have any chips or cracks that i could feel ... moreor see. The middle daisy and button pattern part also does not have any chips or cracks that i could feel or see. The base has two holes for mounting it to the ceiling it has a small amount of the white missing on the inside around the holes and there is a small chip on the edge of one of the mounting holes on the outside of the clear glass. Also there is a small amount of ceiling paint on the inside edge that sits flush against the ceiling which should not be seen when installed.it might be possible to clean this off. Also on the inside edge there is a small spot of white missing. Please look over all Pictures i have tried to include detailed pictures for you to see. I would recomend rewiring this which would be very easy The base comes apart very easily. I was not able to test it before acquiring this peice. I did a contract on clearing out a old home that was damaged from Hurricane Sandy here in Crisfield MD. Due to the home being abandon and had been flooded there was no power.This light was in the entrance by the front door and was the only original fixture left.the home also had knob and tube wiring. It appears to be all solid brass except the canopy may be plated white metal(it is quite heavy) It has two arms with sockets and the shade holders have holes with beads hanging from them. Both electrical sockets are marked" HUBBELL" and they both have acorn pulls chains. It measures approximately 12" long from the ceiling, down to the bottom of the beads x 12" across x 9 1/2" across the ceiling canopy x 5 1/8" wide(at the ceiling canopy) This fixture is in very good condition but the hanging beads were changed at one time, to plastic. There is only minor wear to the brass and there are tiny set screws along the edge of the canopy, but two are missing(one ... moreon each end) I see no dents or breaks to the brass. It has been re-wired, at some time in the past) and works fine. Both pull chains can turn it on or off. It throws a much prettier light then the photos show and has a terrific 1920's feel. This antique(probably 1930's era) ceiling light fixture is made of metal. Possibly copper or a copper wash over base metal for the circular portion. The arms and bulb housings appear to be cast and are probably base metal. The circular center cap was probably flush mounted to a ceiling(mounting screws or connectors are NOT present) Four hanging electrical housings with individual old plastic turn knobs on each hang decorative cast arms. The on/off knobs are black and are marked"Weber" There are no other manufacturer markings on the piece. The center round cap is about 11.75" in diameter. Excluding the arms. Diameter from the outer edge of arm to outer edge of opposite arm is about 16" The very old bits of wiring still present are obviously not usable. Here for your consideration is a vintage Art Deco 5 light flush mount chandelier. C1920-1930s This fixture is the second of two identical chandeliers, I was lucky enough to find. It is elaborately detailed. This is a rare find.This fixture has been restored to its former glory. The ugly flaking paint was stripped to the bare metal. Period appropriate paint applied. Plus glazes and two coats of protective clear finish. Flowers, leaves, crowns and shields adorn theses awesome fixtures. Traditional colors of antique gold, burgundy and green made up the color palette. The maker of these fixture is unknown. The obsolete cloth-covered wiring. Markel 30s Slip Shade Glass Antique Chandelier Flush Art Deco Ceiling Fixture A
Nice large five light Markel glass slip shade flush mount ceiling chandelier from the 1930s. Restored and has a beautiful copper finish with a satin sealer. The fixture, all parts and the sockets have been cleaned restored and rewired. Everything works well and looks beautiful. The glass shades slip firm and snug in the slots of the mixed metal frame which is on the heavy side along with the ceiling canopy. The glass is in very good condition without cracks, and minor chipping around the fitters, with a flea bite on the side of one of the shades not noticable but for description purposes. For the age they are great. This is such a great fixture for low ceilings and so much light can be produced from this chandelier with the five medium base sockets. Antique Art Deco Flush Floral Milkglass Ceiling Fixture Flush Stamped brass
Maker unknown and a nice flush ceiling fixture for bath. Hall, kitchen and low ceilings. The base is a large 7 1/2 inches and a stamped brass with raised floral and leaf designs that have been refinished in an buttercream, rose and bluegreen. The base has a small ding on the side and a couple around the neck that is un noticed when hung, there is also about 5 stress cracks right on the side of the brass ceiling mount, They are stable, but could get worse without repair. The fixture is fully functional and has been cleaned and restored. The new socket is a medium base and the brass pull chain has been restored and rewired working very well. The glass is nice and chip free, has some minor dirt that can be cleaned off, the coloring of the glass is very good and has aged fairly evenly without any noticeable paint loss. The center beauty ring ... moreon the shade is held in with a nut and bolt, and cannot be taken off in an easy manner, there is rust and paint loss on the beauty ring also. There are four spots for prisms and a missing finial in the center. We have a semi complete one in a separate auction if you would like to see it hanging. Only 2 days left but will most likely re list if not sold. The hang with the prisms is 13 1/2 inches. The globe is 9 inches wide. Please send us comments and questions, all are welcome.
