Antique 3 Light Bronze, Cast Iron, and Brass Slipper Shade Light Fixture
This antique Slipper Shade light fixture made of bronze. Cast iron and brass is in good condition. It is missing one of the light sockets. Im not sure if it works. It is a 3 light fixture. It measures 5 inches across at the bottom and is 12 inches long from the top to the bottom where the switch is. Offered here is a lovely decorative cast aluminum polychrome chandelier with crystal accents. This piece has been fully rewired. Cleaned and restored. As with all of our antique and vintage lighting, this piece is ready to install in your home. Notice the green and red highlighted details on the ornate portions of the light. This kind of work is called polychrome. And is very common for piece produced in the 1930's for the American lighting market. A piece like this was frequently ordered for a few dollars from a catalog. Most of this frame is made of cast aluminum and brass. The socket interiors are new. Antique Brass & Cast Iron Art Deco Chandelier 5 Sockets Hanging Cluster Light
Here we have an Art Deco hanging chandelier that holds 5 bulbs. This is an antique lamp that is brass and cast iron. The soceket cups and the shaft of the fixture are brass and the center star and circle are cast iron. The chain on this chandelier is a more recent vintage chain but could be easily replaced with one that would go better with the age of this lamp. As you can see it is in good condition but there is some wear to this lamp the worst of it shown in the last photo. This chandelier is about 15 inches in diameter and has a turn switch in the center that can turn the lights on and off. I would recomend re-wireing this before installation. The metal appears to be either bronze or brass. They have ornate openwork with a brass plate attached to the back that has a reddish, crackled, finish on the front(it shows through the openwork on the back of the sconce, see photo) The finish appears to be original and so do the cardboard candle covers(the covers have a lot of wear) They both have an on/off switch that appears to be working(it clicks when you turn it) Each sconce measures approximately 12 1/4" high x 9 1/4" across(end of arm, to end of arm) x about 4 7/8" across the back plate that mounts to the wall. Two (2) Antique Vintage Ceiling or Wall Light Fixtures-Cast Metal and Brass
This auction features two(2) very unique antique ceiling or wall light fixtures. Constructed of both brass and cast ferrous metal. The base of the fixtures is brass, which is currently heavily painted over. Oxidized brass can be observed at the edge of the base and at the ceiling holes where the paint has been scratched off. The"canopy" is cast ferrous metal(a magnet is attracted to it) designed to appear like"roping" It, too is heavily painted, so I don't know the color of the underlying metal. The canopy is secured to the base with the large"nut" that also secures the light bulb socket. The light socket on both fixtures is the original Arrow 3134 socket and it visually appears to be in good. Working condition. Short pieces of wire are still connected to the underside of the socket where it was salvaged ... morefrom the ceiling. The socket appears to be constructed of copper and ceramic material. The dimensions of these two fixtures are: Base: 5-1/2" in diameter Cast Metal Canopy: 6" wide at the widest points Overall fixture height: 4-1/2" from the bottom of the base to the top of the canopy. These two fixtures are quite unique-I have not seen any that resemble them. They appear to be in excellent condition. I have not cleaned them. And I am selling them in the same condition as I acquired them. They definitely need to have the years of paint removed from them to return them to their original beauty. This sconce has Grapes. Fish and a Tassel in it's casting. Two arms with bowl like holders. It's pretty old. The end of the tassel bows upward and is not flat on the wall. Here up for auction is what I believe to be a pair of cast brass sconces with metal arms made by the Riddle& Co. Toledo OH- USA circa 1930 or so. Stamped with manufacturer's stamp on the back. These are in excellent condition and even have the original beads that hung on the sconces. In original condition. They measure 10.25 in. W x 5 in. D- the wall piece is 10.25 in. H. This is the finest hand held work light we have seen(that includes a web search) and it is from Brooklyn N.Y. Very heavy. Made of cast brass, and measuring nearly 16" from the base of handle to the top of the hook. It has raised lettering in the casting. It appears to have been painted black but most has been worn off and now retains an old beautiful patina. The glass globe has some bubbles-and a few scratches. Antique Vintage Sconce Light Lamp Copper Brass Old Steampunk cast iron clamp
For your consideration is this magnificent sconce/lamp/light that contains copper. Brass, and cast iron parts. I could not find any manufacturer markings on a quick inspection. This light has 4 sides. 3 of which were designed with a piece of plate glass for a window. A small piece of a corner is broke off but is included-see photo. Piece was handcrafted with copper and brass and a unique cast iron"clamp" that allowed the light to be raised or lowered on a rod of some sort by simply loosening the bolt. Adjusting to the desired height, and then tightening the bolt back. Bolt appears to be frozen. This is a fantastic piece that could be repaired and displayed as a sconce or lamp. Lamp has been rewired in the past with an in-line switch. It takes a small"candleabra" based bulb. I could not find a trademark or name on this fixture. I do know that it is superior quality! The brass is thick and the decoration is heavy cast brass. I THINK it may be Handel because of the socket covers. But I can't prove it. The sockets are GE trade marked.The shades are not original to the fixture, they are Steuben, only one of the set of four has a clear mark. It is shown with a 25 1/2" drop, the diameter is 17 1/2" shade edge to shade edge, and the 4 shades are 4 1/2" high, by 5" wide. They are polished calcite over gold Aurene interiors in perfect shape. Antique Early 20th C Brass & Cast Iron Knight Slag Glass Single Wall Sconce
This is a great looking antique early 20th century brass& cast iron knight slag glass single wall sconce. It probably dates from the 1920s. The backplate measures 14 inches tall and 4 7/8 inches wide(35.6 cm x 12.4 cm) The slag glass measures 7 1/8 inches tall by 4 3/8 inches wide(18.1 cm x 13.3 cm) The section that holds it in measures 7 1/8 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide(18.1 cm x 11.1 cm) It protrudes out from the wall 4 inches(10.2 cm) Every detail is attended to in this wall sconce. Even the thick slag glass is molded with a knight on top and ornamentation in the main part. The backplate and extension are made of cast brass with a brass wash. The piece that holds in the slag glass is made of brass. I tested this out with a magnet. There are areas with red and blue paint on them. Which matches nicely with the oval red piece ... morethat lies behind the middle of the sconce where the two lions are. As you can see in the photos. There are many rust spots coming through. It's still very sturdy and these just tend to blend in with the sconce, giving it its old world look. The slag glass is in very good condition with no chips. Breaks or cracks. There appears to be a thin dark yellowish color which may have been original. About half of it is worn off. If you look at the glass from the back you will see lines in the original making of it, but these are not damage. It definitely needs to be rewired. As the cloth covered wire is unsafe. It weighs 3 lbs. 1 oz. 1.39 kg) I think you'll be very pleased with it.
