There is a teeny sliver chip on the side of one shade near the fitter(barely noticable only mentioned for accuracy) and a thin line on the fitter tab of the other one that is not seen when shade is in fitter. See pictures. The electrical and switches do work but they have cloth wiring and should be checked by a professional or rewired. See picture of one of the sconces lighted. The colors on the sconces and shades are a little brighter in person than they are in the pictures. Overall these sconces are in great condition. I have seen lamps like this and the metal is thinner and fragile this is tough and heavy; I guess that’s good because it can last more. But either original or knockoff I think it is beautiful and well made with all the glasses there and with no cracks. Beautiful example of pure French art nouveau style. Measuring 24” ht to finial by 20” diameter the shade by 9” diameter the base. The finial bolt has to be welded to the base or just get a longer bolt because this is not holding the shade in place.

Hello Industrial and Art Deco collectors! Up for bids is this recently recovered 3 arm cast iron chandelier. It appears to be 1920s vintage and at a cross over from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. It has black and white paint over what appears to be brass or copper. Measures just over 13 inches high. There are 12 inches between each arm and the base mount is 5 inches across. I see no marks to indicate maker. Still original wire. But it hasn't been tested. Comes from storage so needs cleaning up from some dust and dirt, but what a great restoration project! WOW! HUGE PAIR of Antique THEATER LIGHTS Wall Sconces Art NOUVEAU Deco NEW YORK
A PAIR of Antique THEATER SCONCES Light Fixtures! Here we have very cool and very scarce find. A pair of antique light fixtures. Sconces, that I am told came out of an old theater that was being torn down. These were purchase in New York around 20 years ago. They were probably hanging on either the wall above the aisles or over the doorways into the theater. They look to be from the early part of the century to me. These lights are huge. Measuring approximately 26" long by 6" wide. Beautiful Art Nouveau. Deco flower and scroll design that would work either horizontally or vertically. They are metal with wood backing and are quite heavy. Looks like they were originally painted gold and one of them is worn more to the metal than the other. One has original inside fixture. The other needs replacing, this should be an easy find and ... morethe backs come off very easily. The last photo. although not a very good photo-sorry) show the one with the fixture lit, to give you an idea of the pretty glow they make when working. Of course even though this one worked, I would rewire it anyway. These would be amazing brought back to the original look. Although I bought them partly because I liked the original patina, either way they will be a wonderful addition to your home or business. Gorgeous antique pair of art deco or nouveau wall sconces. Cast metal by Moe Bridges of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Painted beige with bits of green on the leaves and other parts of the fixtures. Heavy cardboard candle covers over the sockets. Retain original finish, they have been rewired with new sockets, the original switches are still on the lights but are not hooked up. If you wished to use the switches again they should be tested, and probably new switches installed. Will work fine wired directly into your house wiring and bypassing the switches, just wiring to a wall switch. There are small bits of metal cut on the sides of each fixture, probably for wiring, this isn't readily noticeable and over all these are really cool. They could be repainted or just left shabby as they are, they are great looking pieces. You are bidding on one lovely Art Nouveau lightweight cast metal enamel finish ceiling light fixture. This fixture is ivory. I think it has been painted because I am also listing a matching fixture with the same sweet swirled design accented in pale aqua and rose pink. The base of the fixture that fastens to the ceiling is 6 3/8" in diameter. It has 2 holes where it screws into the ceiling. The part that holds the socket/bulb has a decorative folded back design. Winning bidder will need to have the fixture rewired as the wires are cut. There is also a little bit of paint here and there where ceiling paint got on it. Pair of Antique Batwing Slip Shade Sconces - Art Deco Nouveau - Wall Light
Available here is a pair of slip shade sconces. These sconces feature the highly desirable batwing slip shades. I can find no damage to the shades. The metal sconces have a machine age look. They retain the original polychrome finish; including gold. Silver, blue, yellow and red colors. I can find no damage or issues with the sconces. They do have new sockets and new rotary switches. The wiring is up-to-date and the on/off rotary switch does work. While the rotary switch internals are new. I was able to retain the original knobs. The original knobs have the polychrome finish and wear from years of use. Any wiring seen in the photos would be hidden when installed properly. Set of 4 Antique Slip Shade Sconces - Art Deco Nouveau -Architectural Wall Light
Available here is a set of four slip shade sconces. The amber colored shades feature a floral design and leaf pattern on the three visible sides. The depth of the moulded glass displays very nicely when the sconces are lit. The glass shades sit within the metal fixture around the socket. I can find no damage to the shades. The metal sconces also feature a floral design that compliments the shades very well. I am not sure of the base metal. But these sconces have a bronze finish. There is some foreign paint around the metal fixtures, I have not tried to remove it. They do have new sockets with up-to-date wiring. Any wiring seen in the photos would be hidden when installed properly. I used the electrical wires to picture the working sconces. 5 light; not sure if this hangs a few inches down from the wires. Or is suppose to be a flush mount. There is a small amount of cream paint on one side- will probably scrape off. Small paint chips, mostly around the center piece- could be easily touched up. I am not sure if there's a center finial missing or not. This is how I bought it. Never got around to installing it. Beautiful antique wall sconce for restoration. Made of either copper or bronze, I cannot tell for sure. Switch was made by Leviton, back of sconce only says design and mechanics have patent and USA, no maker name that I can see. It measures approx. 13" in length, and is 6 3/4" at widest point. Socket says 125 to 250 V. This would take a slip shade, which unfortunately was not with it when found. Opening at top that shade would go down into(widest part) is approx. 5 1/4" It has original patina, but where some of the patina has rubbed off I see a some color to the metal, looks copper. Please view the photos and judge for yourself. The turn switch turns and clicks fine. Original cords were cloth covered. Some rust on lower backside. Love the design detail! Beautiful Antique Art Nouveau Deco Hanging Chandeliers- Made of some sort of light weight cast metal. I do not know what kind, they need cleaning but not really any rust- They are marked. made in USA" and"Patented 11-25-24" and have a design number as well- ok. It looks like the person before me was trying to clean them up, one is in its totally original state, the other has been lightly cleaned, the most obvious evidence of this is in the fourth photo, they really shined up that part, then got some white paint on it, this is the only area of any sort of issue, I think the paint can be removed easily enough- The metal is a silver pewter sort of color. With lightly painted details- The light bulbs would hand on the underside.
