Consolidated Art Deco Amber Glass Lamp / Light Shade
Art Deco Consolidated Amber Glass Lamp or Light Shade This amber glass shade was made by Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis. Pennsylvania in the late 1920's or early 1930's. The shade is about 12 inches wide and 5 inches tall. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. There are some small cloudy spots in the finish in a few areas of the shade which are typical for a shade of this age. I could not get any of the spots to show up in my photos because they are so light. There are also a few paint dots on the glass. The size of a pin head. I have seen shades of this design with glass tabs on the inside of the shade which require a"fitter shade" which twists into the larger shade. Mid-Century Outdoor House Porch Lights, Carriage House Style, Curved Amber Glass
Pair Mid-Century Exterior Lights This auction is for one pair of outdoor light fixtures. We took them off our house two years ago when we had to reside and they were working fine at that time. They are all still wired for 110 and a medium size base bulb. They were on the house for about 50 years. They are carriage house style. They are cast aluminum and in great vintage condition with wear appropriate for the age and being outdoors. The color is black(needs paint) and the glass is amber and curved. The glass is all good. No cracks or missing pieces. The first four pictures show each side of the pair. The fifth picture shows the bottom. NOTE that on the bottom of one of the lights, a small(about 3/4" piece is broken off. We do not have the broken off piece. The next two pictures shows the tops. And the last three pictures show the textured ... moreglass, with each picture getting closer to the glass. The top is hinged with a screw latch. The hinges are good. Each light weighs about 5 and 1/2 lbs. Each light is about 20" tall. The hinged top is 8" x 8" and the bottom of the main part is 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and has a drain hole. The glass starts just under the hinge and goes to the bottom of the main part so it has a very nice curve. They mount on a wall and the mount is about 5" tall x 4 1/4" wide. The light extends from the back of the mount to the hinge by 1 1/2" There is a coordinating porch post lamp that is still being used. Normally such globes are meant for a hall or foyer and are 6- to 8-inches across. These globes are a mammoth 12-inches ... morewide. And were intended for a living or dining room. When the fixtures are lighted at night they throw astonishing patterns on the ceiling and walls. Really. Quite riveting. Wouldn’t it be great to see the pair sorta close together over a rectangular/oval dining table? Wow. A great look. Or hanging low above the side tables on each side of your living room sofa? Or perhaps hanging low over the night-tables in your bedroom? Each globe has a cylindrical perforated tube inside which diffuses the bulb. The amber glass has dazzling honeycomb patterns. Too. Just incredible when lighted. The fixtures are intended as mood lighting and will create the ideal atmosphere for drinking martinis and listening to your Magnavox Hi-Fi. THE BACK STORY: I believe the fixtures were originally swag lights. You know. The chain hung from a hook on the ceiling, and swagged over to a wall plug. At some point the fixtures were, I believe, converted to hardwire directly to a ceiling box. I suspect as such because the ceiling canopies which came with the fixtures were clearly not original(and didn’t look right) I replaced these canopies with cast brass canopies more in keeping with the metal c

It was found here in Maine. the last picture shows where I have managed to misplace one of the nuts and bolts that keep it closed. It is on hinges on one side but would open to change the bulbs. And the great hanger style backplates. The lights measure 14 1/2" tall by 7 1/2" across and stand out from the wall 10 1/2" The access doors are on the side and both working well, with latches that hold well. VTG MID CENTURY MODERN GLASS CHANDELIER SWAG HANGING LAMP ORANGE AMBER PLUG IN
This is a very nice mid century hanging swag lamp. The chain hooks up to a ceiling hook. Etc. the lamp hangs down. There is plenty of chain to reach quite a distance to an outlet(then just plugs in- no hard wiring needed) The clear coated electrical cord runs within the chain. The cord/chain has a dial type switch(see photo) The globe is glass with bubble shaped type texture pattern. The ends are metal. Please examine all enlarged photos for best description. I believe you will be pleased with what you see. On the upper rim. Under where the metal covers, there looks like there may be a small crack. It does not go through the glass. I noted it when I took the metal off. I will be adding a photo. It is covered by the metal& does not affect appearance. Other than that there are no chips, cracks or breakage. In a few small areas there are ... moresome minor changes to the orange/amber color on the glass- much like thinning varnish, typically expected with aging. In my opinion it is not all that noticable when the lamp is on, nor does it detract from the wonderfulness of this lamp. It is a good sign of true vintage age. Again, see all enlarged photos. Approx. measurements are: Lamp portion- 18 3/4" long including glass& metal finials Openings in the glass globe: upper opening- 4" outside to outside of rim. 3 1/2" inside to inside of rim bottom opening 3 1/4" outside to outside of rim. 2 1/2" inside to inside of rim. very rough measurement of the chain is 10 ft. And the cord 14 ft. The light socket has a marking of E 43005 As you can see from the photos. The lamp does work. I generally do not include light bulbs with my lamp sales. The lamp will need the bottom& top finals screwed onto the glass. This will be very simple. I am detaching them for shipping to protect the glass. ANTIQUE ART & CRAFT PORCH.Bungalow LIGHT METAL & SLAG AMBER GLASS HANGING LAMP
This is a wonderful pair of vintage metal Mission Arts and Crafts style Porch/Bungalow lights. Not an expert on material but I did a magnet test& it DOES NOT adhere to the metal. These are ceiling hanging fixtures with stunning caramel-colored slag glass panels. The slag glass even has a gorgeous iridescence to it. The tops look like they are riveted. The light sockets inside are still intact& usable. The sockets feel& look like porcelain. The wiring is CLOTH original to the fixtures and is still intact. Was told at the estate sale lights were hanging in place and working just fine, however, you might want to have an electrician to check them over since it still has the antique cloth wiring. Both fixtures are in exceptionally good condition for the age. Appears to have been in their original location and hung there for many many ... moreyears. The textured amber glass I was told is original to the fixtures and ALL PANELS are in good condition with no cracks or breaks. I did notice one of the panels are inserted in reverse and probably hung that way unnoticed. Also the cap that hugs the ceiling is missing on one but should be an easy replacement. Vintage Stained Leaded Slag Glass PARLOR Lamp Amber & Opal Color Tiffany Style
This listing is for a smaller Vintage Stained/ Slag glass Leaded Glass Ceiling Lamp in Amber and Opal Color. It is wired and comes with a very short chain connecting it to a scuffed ceiling plate. 10 5/8 inches widest diameter. 8 inches in overall height Consisting of 60 glass panes connected together to form the shade. 5 rows of 12 panes. Textured amber. And marbled opaline glass. In good condition with two of the larger panes. One amber and other the marbled opal having cracks in glass together with light indentation. You can see this I think in the 4th image down This could be easily remedied by trying to straighten the two panes and maybe adding some adhesive to help keep the broken glass together, or perhaps replacement with similar pieces by someone that is familiar with this style of glass and associated connections. Vintage Mid Century Green Electric Plug In Hanging Lamp w/ Amber Colored Glass Globes and Glass Prisms. This Lamp or Light works great and would be an asset to anyone's vintage home decor. Please look at all pictures and read item description. Here is what to expect as far as condition and is what was written above: Vtg Used Condition. Might need more cleaning. It has been cleaned lightly for pictures but might need a little more. It is missing one of its original nuts on top. We have replaced it with another one as seen in pictures. The prisms could stand to be rewired and attached to the lamp. The wire has gotten old that holds them onto the lamp and sometimes they break off due to the brittle metal wire. So rewiring the prisms is a must eventually. It isn't missing any of its prisms. You might see some minor scratches to the paint ... morebut none that is just awful or takes away from the lamp. The goldtone chain might have some fading to the plating but really looks good for its age. I don't see any rust on the chain at all. Up for bid a very Rare Beauty of a Rare Gothic fixture with crackle motif glass it's either Mica glass or art glass it is 30in from the top to bottom not counting the chain the plate it's 12in W but because of it shape its quit bulky around it would be 48in it has 4 candlelight with covers it has a small door that opens and resembles a cage it looks like a church fixture very early the metal is tole or tin I am not sure it's not that thick I am trying to see if it has any marks. We bought two of these fixtures in an antique shop that closed in Chicago about 15 years ago and we were told they were European. ORNATE French Quarter Double Lantern Lights Amber Glass EXTERIOR Architectural. Unique ornate double lanterns came from a house in the French Quarter NEW Orleans. These make an architectural statement when lit and make an equally beautiful statement when not lit. This listing is for 1 light. I have 4 and all will list separately. These are incredibly ornate double lantern exterior ceiling fixtures with a scrolling floral ivy design. They hung from the ceiling on a protected porch/overhang. Each light was probably made in the 1950s of a cast metal; while these are so heavy- they are not cast iron(magnet won't stick) The amber"glass" linings look to be of a Lucite type material and for this reason- these are in great shape- we see no cracks or damage to the amber liners. The lights look like they once had a light mustard finish ... morewith some gold and green"aging" the colors have mellowed to a lighter buttery mustard color and the finish is now chippy. Each light is approximately 25" wide. 22" tall, not including the almost 6" chain drop and is 6" wide. They have original wiring. Each one works and both lights light up; but with all older fixtures an electrical inspection is recommended. They take a regular light bulb- not a chandelier bulb; we used 40 watt and would recommend no more than a 60 watt. Each one comes with the matching ceiling cap or canopy- but NO screw collar or loop(we believe these could easily be located at electrical and hardware stores) Embossed on the lights is HADCO. A manufacturer of high end exterior lights. They no longer make vintage/antique reproduction lights like these. These are one of a kind. An opportunity to own one or more is RARE! You are bidding on this vintage pair of light shade. They are a very deep amber color. Carmel color. The glass is blown into a ribbed metal“cage” Very different, and ancient looking. The glass is thick with lots of texture in it. It’s a large shade. 9 1/2" tall, 7" wide, and opening at bottom 3 1/2" diameter. This shade weighs about 2 1/2 lbs each. The rim is rough around the edges as they is hand blown primitive, thick glass. There are tiny paint flecks on it, as seen in pics. Circa 50- 80 years old, in excellent condition! THE BOTTOM LEVEL IS A PENTAGON SHAPE WHICH HAS OPENINGS FOR FIVE BULBS AND GLOBES. THE BOTTOM ENDS IN A POINT WITH A VERY ORNATE METAL DANGLE.
