Wow! 2) The five glass S-shaped arms have notches cut into the glass. 3) There are five additional arms which leap into the air. These hold a glass(not plastic! ring. The ring in turn holds double strands which swag out to the other arms. Elegant. Stunning! 4) The candle covers are not plastic. Nor cardboard. They are glass! Yes. Glass! I sell a number of these wonderful fixtures each year(see link below) There is a wide variety in terms of colors. Patterns, and details, but each Duplexalite comprises a single 300W socket, a glass bottom shade, and a large metal shade above. The fixtures throw a lot of light UP, and thus a highly diffused, flattering light quality is the result. You can even find Duplexalites in the White House! However. This Duplexalite is really rare. I have never before offered one so simple. And believe the fixture to be a last generation and dating from circa-1950. Well, I just had to have it! A hidden ring holds the glass bottom shade. The larger metal shade simply sits on the ring. As mentioned. The fixture accepts a whopping 300W bulb(Mogul base) The metal shade retains its original painted finish. And this is a pale beige. The metal components have a slightly coppery finish(also original) The heat from the bulb burned off this finish on the socket housing. It seemed foolish to refinish it, so I simply polished the brass. This will patina down. The fixture is now 37-inches long(and 16-wide) I cannot make it longer. Sets such as this were once common. The longer candle-style chandelier was meant for the dining room table. With the shorter down-bulb was for the adjacent living room. You can use this set in the same way, or perhaps in your newly renovated kitchen! Please note the beautifully detailed leaves which the glass drops hang from. And the delicate blue flowers. Soooooo pretty and sweet! What’s also so nice about this set is how original they are. They retain their original canopies. Socket rings, and glass drops. 3 Chain Ceiling Light: Fixture Vintage Shade w/ Reproduction Brass Fixture Base
This dainty little gem of a ceiling light fixture has a maximum drop of approximately 14 inches and is 10 1/2 inches at its widest point. The vintage globe is clear glass and it is painted on the inside with a frosted type paint finish. It features a decorative floral pattern that is molded into the glass. The solid brass fitter base with a nickel finish is made from brass kit parts and features a new porcelain socket, new wires, new brass, and new mounting hardware. The fixture is showing it's age with the vintage glass shade having some chipping around the area where one of the chain rests in the hole and wear in the finish, along the top of the glass rim as well as a small scratch on the bottom outside side of the shade. This charming ceiling light features a light pinkish peach color vintage glass deco shade with a new solid polished brass fixture. The light fixture has a maximum height of approximately 14 inches and is 11 inches at it's widest point. The shade is vintage and is showing its age with some imperfections in the frosted pinkish peach colored glass including small scuffs on the underside of the shade and small chips in chain holes all of which is pretty common for old glass. The new solid brass fixture base is from a pre-assembled fitter kit featuring a brass beaded chain. With slight wear around the chain holes and some signs of typical use, to be expected in a piece of its age. The frosted color is completely uniform with absolutely no discoloration whatsoever. You are offered this 70-90 year old light fixture. It is a beautiful jadite. Fired on green color. The shade has a squiggle texture with border design. It is in excellent condition. The ceiling mount that holds the chain was painted off white at some point in its lifetime. It works. Has been newly resotred/ rewired. The shade is 9 1/4“ across. It has a tiny tiny chip on inside, shows white in lighted pic. There is an old label, that fell off, and have put tape on it. It has a Diamond F logo on it.
