Exquisite Pair Vintage Antique Ornate Bronze Victorian Era Candle Sconces 2 Arm
For your consideration is this beautiful pair of Victorian Era candle sconces. This pair of sconces is made of cast exquisitely cast bronze with wonderful rich old bronze patina and very ornate. The arms of the sconces slide inand out of the backplate and are moveable so they can be placed to suit your needs. They are finished on both sides of the arms. So they are beautiful from the side as well, if the arms are pulled in toward the center. The sconces measure 13 1/2" wide and 7 1/2" tall and stand out from the wall 6 3/4" as shown in first photo. The sconces are in wonderful condition, there is a bit of green candle wax and putty in the candle holders and one of the arms has had a repair. The center piece is scalloped with little stars around center and mirrored. One of a kind. There is a small crack on the base(see last photo) when mounted- crack is exactly down center- not really noticeable unless you really look closely. The wiring(not by me) is modern, as are the on/off switches(I can replace the white switches with brass ones) The sconces are of high quality. Heavy, and largely made from brass. The center sections feature gorgeous wood veneer panels. The main bodies are mounted to wooden back-plates. I cannot know if these are original, or later additions(so that the sconces can cover modern electrical boxes) The back-plates have a center section in a vellum color; I’m uncertain as to the material, it might be vellum. On the back is some writing in pencil but I cannot read this. Alas. Under each socket housing(quite distinctive in shape) is a glass disk with cut edges. There’s also a glass sphere in the center. Top, of each sconce. I love the curvaceous shape of the arms. The sconces accept silk shades(not included) but also look well without shades(see last image) Impressively scaled. Beautifully patinated, stunning enough to draw the eye but not so big as to be overwhelming. Five light arms hold two lights each on two levels-10 bulbs in all. Its original gilt finish has mellowed and aged into a patina that only a half century or more can create. Excellent Working Condition. No damage(except one crystal flaw noted below) faceted teardrop prisms, original chain and ceiling canopy, r eady to hang. Fairly recently rewired. As pictured, but bulbs are not included. The pictures were taken with either power ON(very bright) or OFF(unlighted)in its actual setting, this chandelier would likely be installed with a rheostat, so it could be dimmed. Wonderfully kept Art Deco 1928 era Chandelier and 6 Matching Sconces made of solid cast iron with original paint with barely a flaw anywhere. All are stamped in iron"Moe Bridges Milwaukee Wisconsin" Three wood type candle covers need a little repair but they are solid. Everything else is superb including the paint job. I see no rust though I could have missed some surface rust its possible like where it was not painted on back.Ready to hang. Most have new wiring. There are all parts including wall screw fasteners with nice matching flower tops which were the original for the lights. Moe Bridges known for their quality craftsmanship. Antique vtg Victorian 2 arm + 4" fitter chandelier light fixture Beardslee mark
Victorian era light made by Beardslee(stamped"B" in a fleur de lis on the canopy) This light was painted in heavy paint and I was able to strip just about all of it. Still some in corners and crevasses. The fixture has 3 socket shells but none of them have their guts so you'll need to get 2 turnkey sockets for the 2 1/4" fitters and one keyless socket for the 4" downward facing fitter socket. The canopy has some light bending in places as do the fitters. Complete with all screws. I did have to add a short piece of tubing and it's not quite the same color as the original(see photo 3) I have added new all-thread AND a mounting crossbar so all you need is socket parts and wiring to get this light up and lit. 13" long to the tip of the fitter and 18" wide. Disassembled for shipping.

Pair Early 20th Century 2 Arm Bronze Sconces w Gilt Leaves Acorn Finials & Brass
Here we have a really great early 20th century pair of 2 arm bronze sconces with both gilt& brass leaves and acorn finials. These heavy sconces have a super deep time aged patina and we believe they date to the turn of 20th century. Each sconce has two arms and seven gilt leaves staggered along the length of the main bronze shaft. One sconce has four brass leaves between the gilt leaves and the other sconce is missing two brass leaves leaving two. All of the leaves have curved copper stems which are also used to hold the leaves to the main bronze shaft. These sconces are in untouched as-found condition with a wonderful deep time aged patina and we have not cleaned or dusted them. Chandelier was converted from gas to electric with new wires. Sockets and shade holders. Newly polished and lacquered. Arms: two brass tones. Twisted, roped, each arm 11" long. Canopy: solid brass. 4.5" tall. Center tube: solid brass. Half twisted, 3/4" diameter. Beautiful and detailed shut off valves. Please do not try to turn valves as you may cut off internal wires. You get a pair of antique Art Nouveau Chandeliers with their original French hand blown frosted glass rose petal shades. They have the patent dates of"Dec. 9. 1890 and Sept 29, 1896 Weber Patents" on them. They measure about 22" across from shade to shade and have a total drop down the center of 13" They have aged patina on the brass. Overall in very nice antique condition. It's the color of dirty brass and definitely has to be rewired. Might be beautiful when cleaned up. Who knows? Can't measure it very accurately. The center is about 10" long with a decorative hanging finial. The two arms are about 13.5" apart with bell shaped sockets attached which have turn key switches. The bells are about 4" long, including the eye and 3.5" wide at the widest. It isn't dented anywhere. Set 4/2 pair Vintage 2 arm Wall Sconces R P Co. 16" Urn Shaped Bronze flower
Up for consideration is a fine set of 4 double arm wall sconces. They measure 16 inches tall by 8 inches in width by about 4 or 5 inches deep. They are signed R. P. Co. on the back brace of all the sconces. The sconces are a wonderful urn shaped neoclassical vase with a cast bronze separately cast lower portion. The bobeche on each of the sconces are a finely thin cast leaves. Whereas each sconce has porcelain flowers and gilt tole embellishments growing from the urns.
