Vintage Art Deco Skyscraper Milk Glass Globe Light Fixture
This auction is for a beautiful vintage art deco Skyscraper light fixture with a milk glass globe. All original including the wires which my need to be replaced as they are very old. The globe is in great condition for its age and is free of any chips or cracks. The copper pieces of the fixture are also in great condition but do have some rough spots on the inside due to its age. This is normal. Take a look at the pictures and you will see just how stunning this light fixture really is. Measures approximately 15-1/2 inches tall from end to end. I have for sale a pair of Art Deco style molded glass and chrome wall sconces, each frosted pink shade is decorated with a ribbed motif and central figure of a nude in relief, set in a chrome frame. I was told they were made in Holland. I am a guy whose taste is not quite this style. By the pictures you can see they do operate. Unfortunately one does have a very tiny nick. This does not affect the looks though when the glass is sitting in the chrome frame. They measure 9 1/2"high, 10 1/2 wide and weigh approx. 5 lb. I hope the pictures and info help. Any? Would look nice in a hall. Dining room or lounge. Fully working when removed last weekend. I will pack these securely so they will get to you in perfect condition. They are a bit dusty would benefit from a good clean. I`d guess they are c30 years old probably brass plated. Were in the hallway of our Edwardian house when we moved in. Ceiling roses not supplied and come with 3 links of chain(both available cheaply on ebay) These work best with clear candle bulbs and I`ll supply 6(used) bulbs. Pair Art Deco Nouveau Slip Slipper Shade Sconces Wall Lights Fixtures
These are a beautiful pair of original Art Deco slip shade sconces. Very nice detailed design in shades and sconce holders. The finish on the the back plates looks to be original and is great shape but could use some cleaning. The detailed shades are beautiful with the original orange highlights and are in great shape. There is a teeny sliver chip on the side of one shade near the fitter(barely noticable only mentioned for accuracy) and a thin line on the fitter tab of the other one that is not seen when shade is in fitter. See pictures. The electrical and switches do work but they have cloth wiring and should be checked by a professional or rewired. See picture of one of the sconces lighted. Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade This is an antique Art Deco hanging chain ceiling light with a white and tan satin glass shade. The ceiling and light socket fixture are both brass. The chain is brass coated metal. All parts were tested with a magnet. The magnet doesn't stick to the brass parts. But does stick to the chain. It comes with the original cast iron hanging hardware. The light hangs from the ceiling 30" The brass ceiling fixture is 5 1/4" in diameter. The shade measures 7" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. It has the original ceramic socket and cloth insulated wires. There are several breaks in the insulation, so the lamp will have to be rewired. The glass shade is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are wear marks from where the pull chain rubbed on the outside ... moreof the shade. These can be seen in the last picture. Antique Art Deco Ceiling 5 Light Chandelier Polychrome Paint Fleur-De-Lis
Antique Art Deco Cast Aluminum 5-Socket Ceiling Light Fixture/Chandelier. Fleur-De-Lis Design, Original Polychrome Paint The ceiling light retains the original wiring in very good condition. I used the light in my home and recently decided to go with a little more formal Art Deco crystal chandelier. Hence. The offering of this wonderful ceiling light. The ceiling light is in working condition. You'll notice a small ring directly in the center on the bottom. The ring shows some light wear most likely from some type of ornament or prism. that was hung. The 5 matching fat boy sockets with paddle switches are original. The chain is original but was shortened to a drop of 21 inches(top of ceiling cap to bottom of bobeches) Inserted bulbs will add to the overall drop. The ceiling light was meticulously cleaned and professionally sprayed with ... moresemi-gloss top coat lacquer to preserve and enhance the original paint. Close inspection of the ceiling light will find only small and minimal areas of paint loss and/or wear. The wiring is original in good condition. The wiring doesn't appear to be brittle. There are no insulation breaks or fraying of the outer covering. Heat shrink tubing as been applied to the lead ends but will be obscured by the ceiling cap. Notice how the wire covering picks of the colors of the paint scheme. Because of the original wiring I cannot underwrite or indemnify the use of the ceiling light. You may want to replace the wiring. Each socket has a switch. There is a little play in one of the switches but will stay positioned. Many similar light fixtures used a cast iron hanger under the ceiling cap. When these lights were used originally there were no electrical boxes in the ceilings; only a hole for the wire. The cast iron hanger was attached to lath above the plaster. This ceiling light has outfitted with a pipe nipple and crossbar for easy and updated installation. As noted previously. The drop is 21 inches. Item is 15" wide& that center piece measures 6" top to bottom. Hopefully this helps with specs. Pic one is the side you will see looking up at the ceiling. Pic two is the underside that faces the ceiling. So is pick 3. Item will neeed some re-assembly specifically the part I can not figure out how to screw back into the base I am holding up in pic 2. It will also need re-wiring. At the end of the chain link there is another piece that would screw into something. I'm guessing your ceiling mount. Old Art Deco Nouveau Victorian Ceiling Light Fixture CHANDELIER w/ 5 Orig Globes
For your consideration here is a lovely vintage old chandelier ceiling light fixture with 5 original ivory/ cream color original glass globes. There's a nice hand blown heavy glass round"ball" shaped piece on the chandelier. The entire chandelier is all completely original. It is made from multiple types of metals. I am not 100% sure what all the metals are but I think at least some of the metals may be brass. Cast metal, possibly bronze.some of the metal is magnetic and most of it is not magnetic. There's a little rust on the magnetic round disk shaped piece near the middle area of chandelier but it's nothing I would consider major. The chandelier does show use and age but still a fantastic chandelier with wonderful art nouveau/ Victorian designs& patterns. The 5 glass globes are all the original globes.they do ... morehave tiny, tiny barely there flea bites around the opening but they are not noticeable.I only saw them with my magnifying glass when I was looking the chandelier. The original wiring, cables,etc are still present. The chandelier measures approximately 25 inches tall. 18 inches wide. The glass round ball shaped hand blown piece measures 9 inches around. The glass globes measure approximately 5-1/4 inches in diameter. 3 inches tall, 4 inches in diameter at largest opening and 2 inches in diameter at smallest opening. Chandelier is quite heavy. The lower part has glass tabs that insert into the slots of the upper part and rests on little ledges when turned 1/4 turn, as designed. Verreries des Hanots Wonderful very rare 1930-1935 flush fitting art deco ceiling fixture in bronze with nickel finish holding a very large shade in a thick quality white moulded-pressed glass. Produced by Verreries des Hanots in the 30ies this shade does not exist with a signature. It is represented in numerous catalogues of lamp producers for instance Hettier& Vincent made several fixtures for this model. In an old Holophane(Hanots and Verlys) catalogue is is represented under#8547'Laterne Juive' the Jewish Lantern) I was not able to trace down the maker of the fixture. I found several of these mountings in cast brass or bronze and originaly they were covered by green paint. I had them nickel plated and patinated. The lamp is in excellent condition. Here are 2 great 1930's art Deco porcelain wall sconce lights from Paulding. You will see in the pictures that they are in great condition. I have not tried to clean them and appear to be fully functional. The fastening screw is included and the pull chain porcelain end is also still intact. Very hard to find everything together. These also have the outlet on the bottom behind the pull chain. These can be wired 250v 10amp or 125v 15 amp. I have had some questions about the wiring so I have included 2 more pictures. Antique HP Cast Aluminum Art Deco Vintage Ceiling Light Lite Fixture
Old Art Deco Aluminum li ght fixture. It has been hanging up in an old barn since the mid 60's. One of the li ght sockets is cracked on the back side and needs rewired and cleaned up. This will be a stunning fixture if cleaned up and repainted. It is 14 1/2" diameter and from bottom of fixture t o top is 2 1/2" thi ck. It is marked H. P. Inc with the number 905-15. This is a Non Working light fixture and can be used for parts or to rebuild. I think this would be an easy project. The metal is in good shape, not split or corroded, would clean up and look really nice with a new paint job. I am selling it in"As Found" condition. Look closely at all photos! All components are in excellent condition and are from the 1930's era. The shade and stem compliment each other nicely. The shade measures about 15 1/4 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. There are some rough spots around the inner rim that are not visible when hung. The chain has been left with its vintage petina- looks great. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted as is also from the same era. The socket housing is vintage and there are three new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. It has a gorgeous cream colored column AND ceiling cap made of porcelain that is beautifully painted with floral motif and accented with gold.This was made by the famous Porcelier Company and it's rare to find the chandelier body and ceiling cap together. And in such fine condition. It is paired with this very nice, pale, sort of creamy beige-ish pink glass shade that is ribbed and scalloped and has no damage at all as far as chips. Cracks or scratches. Does show nicks in the paint. Normal wear for age, mainly around the flat bottom part of the shade, around the finial. I have shown this in the last 3 pics. very good condition considering age(not sure exactly around 1940's my guess sockets may have been replaced or rewired plastic insulation) one glass globe has tiny chip on top but also has the frosted look so my have come from factory. 3/8" thick glass. frosted and hand painted. globes are 7 1/2" tall 5" wide and 4" deep. sconces are light weight pot metal or aluminum not sure non magnetic. they are dark brown. not sure if original paint but they do match shades. they measure 9 3/8 x 5 1/2. very ornate. no markings that i can see except on leviton sockets/switches. one is missing switch nob but still seems to work.

They will need to be rewired, the sconces themselves are wonderful- no cracks or breaks to the metal. Date: Around 1930 +/ Maker: S igned by Jean Noverdy who had a smaller glass manufactory near Dijon. France. Materials: The suspension of th e chandelier is made out of silver-colored metal. The three applications and the canopy are adorned with an outstanding, stylized flower decor. The flower decor is hold in strict geometrical shape like it is typical for the french Art deco design. The big center bowl and the three lampshades are made out of thick-walled, molded and frosted glass and also adorned with a stylized, outstanding decor. The center bowl is signed with"Noverdy France Deposé" Condition: The chandelier is in great. Used condition. The four glass elements are all in excellent condition and free from ... moreany damage. The suspension is also in very good condition with the normal traces of an age-appropriated patina.
