England. The sole reason for this assumption is because it is identical in the basic design as the one pictured. It is a beautiful dark stained walnut we believe. With just the right coloring to show off its best parts. This really is one of the most beautiful pieces we have offered, and the biggest contributor to the beauty is the patina and the warm stain. It also has beautiful carved scroll work and flowers, similar to some I have seen on Eastlake era pieces. It has beveled glass mirrors with some silvering occurring, but even this, I can see a way to appreciate the way it has come about along the edges. This can be broken down and moved easily as it is actually three separate pieces- a top piece, the main body of the armoire, and the drawers underneath. The hardware is original on the front. Every kind of carving is artistic on this historic piece with columns. Shell and Gothic motifs. The old finish is very well preserved with golden patina and just enough mars at the edges for antique character. Waxed and polished, all that is needed to maintain its warm glow is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. The interior is 19" deep and empty. A wonderful antique. Circa 1870's, solid walnut Aesthetic Movement architectural three section armoire. Probably by a Philadelphia maker, School of Daniel Pabst. The armoire breaks down into several sections for shipment. There is a massive crest with stylized floral carvings, two carved pillars in Egyptian style, two front corner finials in Neo-Grec style, a pierced gallery of stylized florals. The center section door is mirror fronted, flanked by doored sections having burl walnut panels. There are three lower drawers with burl panels, the brass pulls and escutcheons in Aesthetic style. Includes all locks and two keys. The interiors of the armoire, and the drawer interiors are all solid walnut, the backing boards of the side cabinets in dark stained hardwood. The armoire measures 8'10" 106" tall by 7' 84" wide ... moreby 21" deep at base, the mirror measures 59" by 27" Excellent condition: original unworn finish, the ebonized accents without wear. All burl without chips. The base sections around have burl walnut, the sides with recessed walnut panels. All walnut boards without chips or cracks. In the distance past shelves have been added to the three section interiors. Shelves are easily removable, as are the screwed in shelf supports. Offered for sale is a French Louis XV Style Carved Walnut Armoire that measures H 108" x W 55" x D 22" This beautiful armoire with 2 beveled mirrored doors was made circa 1880's in France. It has an elaborately carved floral and scroll crown and sides. Below the doors is a carved drawer as shown in the photos. It stands on carved cabriole legs and scrolled feet. Three adjustable shelves come with the armoire. As with all antique armoires. Wood supports can be placed in any of the carved slots running the entire length of the piece inside. An option for repurposing this armoire is to strip the silver from the mirrors, leaving the original glass thus making the armoire a display cabinet.
