Vintage Art Deco Skyscraper Milk Glass Globe Light Fixture
This auction is for a beautiful vintage art deco Skyscraper light fixture with a milk glass globe. All original including the wires which my need to be replaced as they are very old. The globe is in great condition for its age and is free of any chips or cracks. The copper pieces of the fixture are also in great condition but do have some rough spots on the inside due to its age. Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade This is an antique Art Deco hanging chain ceiling light with a white and tan satin glass shade. The ceiling and light socket fixture are both brass. The chain is brass coated metal. All parts were tested with a magnet. The magnet doesn't stick to the brass parts. But does stick to the chain. It comes with the original cast iron hanging hardware. The light hangs from the ceiling 30" The brass ceiling fixture is 5 1/4" in diameter. The shade measures 7" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. It has the original ceramic socket and cloth insulated wires. There are several breaks in the insulation, so the lamp will have to be rewired. The glass shade is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are wear marks from where the pull chain rubbed on the outside ... moreof the shade. These can be seen in the last picture. Antique Art Deco Ceiling 5 Light Chandelier Polychrome Paint Fleur-De-Lis
Antique Art Deco Cast Aluminum 5-Socket Ceiling Light Fixture/Chandelier. Fleur-De-Lis Design, Original Polychrome Paint The ceiling light retains the original wiring in very good condition. I used the light in my home and recently decided to go with a little more formal Art Deco crystal chandelier. Hence. The offering of this wonderful ceiling light. The ceiling light is in working condition. You'll notice a small ring directly in the center on the bottom. The ring shows some light wear most likely from some type of ornament or prism. that was hung. The 5 matching fat boy sockets with paddle switches are original. The chain is original but was shortened to a drop of 21 inches(top of ceiling cap to bottom of bobeches) Inserted bulbs will add to the overall drop. The ceiling light was meticulously cleaned and professionally sprayed with ... moresemi-gloss top coat lacquer to preserve and enhance the original paint. Close inspection of the ceiling light will find only small and minimal areas of paint loss and/or wear. The wiring is original in good condition. The wiring doesn't appear to be brittle. There are no insulation breaks or fraying of the outer covering. Heat shrink tubing as been applied to the lead ends but will be obscured by the ceiling cap. Notice how the wire covering picks of the colors of the paint scheme. Because of the original wiring I cannot underwrite or indemnify the use of the ceiling light. You may want to replace the wiring. Each socket has a switch. There is a little play in one of the switches but will stay positioned. Many similar light fixtures used a cast iron hanger under the ceiling cap. When these lights were used originally there were no electrical boxes in the ceilings; only a hole for the wire. The cast iron hanger was attached to lath above the plaster. This ceiling light has outfitted with a pipe nipple and crossbar for easy and updated installation. As noted previously. The drop is 21 inches. Item is 15" wide& that center piece measures 6" top to bottom. Hopefully this helps with specs. Pic one is the side you will see looking up at the ceiling. Pic two is the underside that faces the ceiling. So is pick 3. Item will neeed some re-assembly specifically the part I can not figure out how to screw back into the base I am holding up in pic 2. It will also need re-wiring. At the end of the chain link there is another piece that would screw into something. I'm guessing your ceiling mount. Old Art Deco Nouveau Victorian Ceiling Light Fixture CHANDELIER w/ 5 Orig Globes
For your consideration here is a lovely vintage old chandelier ceiling light fixture with 5 original ivory/ cream color original glass globes. There's a nice hand blown heavy glass round"ball" shaped piece on the chandelier. The entire chandelier is all completely original. It is made from multiple types of metals. I am not 100% sure what all the metals are but I think at least some of the metals may be brass. Cast metal, possibly bronze.some of the metal is magnetic and most of it is not magnetic. There's a little rust on the magnetic round disk shaped piece near the middle area of chandelier but it's nothing I would consider major. The chandelier does show use and age but still a fantastic chandelier with wonderful art nouveau/ Victorian designs& patterns. The 5 glass globes are all the original globes.they do ... morehave tiny, tiny barely there flea bites around the opening but they are not noticeable.I only saw them with my magnifying glass when I was looking the chandelier. The original wiring, cables,etc are still present. The chandelier measures approximately 25 inches tall. 18 inches wide. The glass round ball shaped hand blown piece measures 9 inches around. The glass globes measure approximately 5-1/4 inches in diameter. 3 inches tall, 4 inches in diameter at largest opening and 2 inches in diameter at smallest opening. Chandelier is quite heavy. Will be packed with lots of care and a generous amount of bubble wrap. Paper and cardboard before packing it into a sturdy solid strong box and shipped to the new owner. The upper is clear and the lower shade is light green with a beautiful art deco pattern. The lower part has glass tabs that insert into the slots of the upper part and rests on little ledges when turned 1/4 turn, as designed. The escutcheon plate and bulb holder are made of brass and the total height is approx. 17" This classy and opulent vestibule light appears just lightly used and in very good condition. There is a chip in one of the ledges of the clear round part and the square green part rests securely on the other 3 ledges with no problems and it is guaranteed to be a solid connection as it is and this minor detail cannot be seen when in use. Antique HP Cast Aluminum Art Deco Vintage Ceiling Light Lite Fixture
Old Art Deco Aluminum li ght fixture. It has been hanging up in an old barn since the mid 60's. One of the li ght sockets is cracked on the back side and needs rewired and cleaned up. This will be a stunning fixture if cleaned up and repainted. It is 14 1/2" diameter and from bottom of fixture t o top is 2 1/2" thi ck. It is marked H. P. Inc with the number 905-15. This is a Non Working light fixture and can be used for parts or to rebuild. I think this would be an easy project. The metal is in good shape, not split or corroded, would clean up and look really nice with a new paint job. I am selling it in"As Found" condition. Look closely at all photos! Vintage 1930's Victorian Art Deco Ceiling Light Fixture Chandelier For your consideration today is a vintage flush mount 3 light chandelier. Circa 1930-1940 Measures 11" wide and only hangs down 10" from ceiling to bottom of shade. Perfect for low ceilings. Will only work on flat ceilings unless you are willing to adjust the hanging chains. Features a beautiful blue shade with a geometric floral design. Also has a beautiful crystal bobeche and dazzling prisms. Lots of sparkle and bling. I can't tell you how nice this fixture is. I just got this in and have just finished restoring it. Its been cleaned. Re-wired, and has new sockets. Ready to hang with included hardware. In great condition with no damage or missing parts. Uses 3 bulbs up to 60 watts each. Available here is an antique art deco light fixture. It has a beautiful skyscraper style milk glass shade. The shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a 6" fitter. The shade only stands approximately 11.5" tall and is approximately 12" across at its widest. The fixture looks to be brass and has been partially painted over. I am not sure of the best way to remove the paint and will let the new owner decide what to do. It has the original socket and cloth wrapped wiring. I have not tested it and would recommend rewiring it for safety. Rewiring this would be pretty simple since it is a single socket. When hung. I had a box of unused older sockets that has the string type pull so the socket was a perfect companion to the fixture since the canopy piece does have an opening hole for the string to come through) The sockets shown in the last photo are not included with the auction listing. Box was pictured to show the socket used as a replacement is new old stock. No chips or cracks to the glass, the fitter end opening is 4" Shade is about 8 1/2" in diameter. About 6 1/4" tall. This light fixture is clean. Crisp, and spectacular. All components are in excellent condition and are from the mid-century era. The shade and stem are matching and compliment each other nicely. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The ceiling canopy is correct to this light and is in wonderful condition. There are two new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs and there is all new wiring. This amazing light fixture hangs just 13 inches from the ceiling and will work for most ceiling heights.
