BRASS CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE WITH GLASS SHADE I am offering for your consideration this single brass ceiling light fixture with glass shade. The fixture is marked UNO with a patent date of Dec 24 12 and the socket is marked Arrow. It appears to be complete but I have not tried to see if it works- it has a length of wire being approximately 20" coming from the top of the tube at the point where it would mount to the ceiling. It has a 17" drop from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. Good original brass patina with minor discoloration and oxidation. One screw that holds the shade has been replaced and is rusty, the link that attaches the rod to the socket is not brass and small rim chips and roughness around the bottom of the glass shade. Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade This is an antique Art Deco hanging chain ceiling light with a white and tan satin glass shade. The ceiling and light socket fixture are both brass. The chain is brass coated metal. All parts were tested with a magnet. The magnet doesn't stick to the brass parts. But does stick to the chain. It comes with the original cast iron hanging hardware. The light hangs from the ceiling 30" The brass ceiling fixture is 5 1/4" in diameter. The shade measures 7" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. It has the original ceramic socket and cloth insulated wires. There are several breaks in the insulation, so the lamp will have to be rewired. The glass shade is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are wear marks from where the pull chain rubbed on the outside ... moreof the shade. These can be seen in the last picture. Antique Art Deco Cast Aluminum 5-Socket Ceiling Light Fixture/Chandelier. Fleur-De-Lis Design, Original Polychrome Paint The ceiling light retains the original wiring in very good condition. I used the light in my home and recently decided to go with a little more formal Art Deco crystal chandelier. Hence. The offering of this wonderful ceiling light. The ceiling light is in working condition. You'll notice a small ring directly in the center on the bottom. The ring shows some light wear most likely from some type of ornament or prism. that was hung. The 5 matching fat boy sockets with paddle switches are original. The chain is original but was shortened to a drop of 21 inches(top of ceiling cap to bottom of bobeches) Inserted bulbs will add to the overall drop. The ceiling light was meticulously cleaned and professionally sprayed with ... moresemi-gloss top coat lacquer to preserve and enhance the original paint. Close inspection of the ceiling light will find only small and minimal areas of paint loss and/or wear. The wiring is original in good condition. The wiring doesn't appear to be brittle. There are no insulation breaks or fraying of the outer covering. Heat shrink tubing as been applied to the lead ends but will be obscured by the ceiling cap. Notice how the wire covering picks of the colors of the paint scheme. Because of the original wiring I cannot underwrite or indemnify the use of the ceiling light. You may want to replace the wiring. Each socket has a switch. There is a little play in one of the switches but will stay positioned. Many similar light fixtures used a cast iron hanger under the ceiling cap. When these lights were used originally there were no electrical boxes in the ceilings; only a hole for the wire. The cast iron hanger was attached to lath above the plaster. This ceiling light has outfitted with a pipe nipple and crossbar for easy and updated installation. As noted previously. The drop is 21 inches. This is a vintage 1915-1925 hand painted glass ceiling light globe in wonderful condition. The exterior has been hand painted with a rural scen e. One side depicts a farm setting with house and barn with trees; the opposite sho ws a road curving through trees. The two scenes are separated by water with a likeness of a sail boat on the surface and hills in th e distant background. The glass itself is frosted over a co arse surface that reminds one of ice-chipped glass. The paint has no loss and the colors are rich and vibrant still. There is one thin fitter c hip that barely breaks the surface of the edge and would never show. The globe about 12"W X 6-6.5" H with a 10" fitter. The is all metal with leafe designs that are all painted cream. Then there is a mirrored back with the light bulb that sticks out. Then on the light bulb are all glass beads that are tied around the light bulb which you can remove when the light bulb burns out. Then all along the perameter of the piece are super great solid glass or crystal tiered round ball prisms. They are all there and the piece is in good shape for its age. The mirror does have some light crazing which is on the back side but just great authentic patina to the piece. The piece measures about 10" in diameter at the widest point. This auction is for an antique 1920's art deco ceiling light chandelier that is fully functional and ready for installation and use. It consists of 2 parts of thick frosted glass. The upper is clear and the lower shade is light green with a beautiful art deco pattern. The lower part has glass tabs that insert into the slots of the upper part and rests on little ledges when turned 1/4 turn, as designed. The escutcheon plate and bulb holder are made of brass and the total height is approx. 17" This classy and opulent vestibule light appears just lightly used and in very good condition. It was in an old wooden box and the seller said his grandfather had taken it out of an old school house that was to be torn down many years ago. He had wanted to fix it up and use it. Antique HP Cast Aluminum Art Deco Vintage Ceiling Light Lite Fixture
Old Art Deco Aluminum li ght fixture. It has been hanging up in an old barn since the mid 60's. One of the li ght sockets is cracked on the back side and needs rewired and cleaned up. This will be a stunning fixture if cleaned up and repainted. It is 14 1/2" diameter and from bottom of fixture t o top is 2 1/2" thi ck. It is marked H. P. Inc with the number 905-15. This is a Non Working light fixture and can be used for parts or to rebuild. I think this would be an easy project. The metal is in good shape, not split or corroded, would clean up and look really nice with a new paint job. I am selling it in"As Found" condition. Look closely at all photos! Exquisite Antique Ceiling Light Fixture This listing is for a unique antique ceiling light fixture. The entire fixture extends just 8 1/2" from the ceiling. The ceiling canopy measures 4 3/4" across. The frosted ribbed shade measures 5 1/4" tall. It features a fantastic scalloped edge; which gives it a square cut layered appearance. Complete with the original three tier brass finial. The color is hard to describe but is really beautiful. The shades feature a striking frieze of flowers in high relief. And a clear center section. The whole really comes alive when lighted. Reclaimed Antique Brass Ceiling Fixture w/ 3 Figural Asian Men Needs Restoration
This is a fantastic estate find. I pulled this out of South Philadelphia. It was removed from a house over 100 years old. It was painted at one point and I know it is brass. But I think this would have had a greenish paint on it originally. The main part hangs on three chains to the center medallion and features what looks like three shouting Chinese men. Someone made a patch repair to one of the sockets, but I would rewire the entire thing. The paint would need to be stripped, but at that point, you could see how the brass polishes and repaint the antique green if you'd like. I have had this completely apart looking for a manufacturer and it is not labeled. We are buyers. Sellers and traders. We work in the Bucks County Pennsylvania area. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. The original Leviton porcelain socket has been rewired and accepts a 150 watt bulb. This amazing light fixture hangs 16 inches from the ceiling. The mounting hardware will be included.
