ANTIQUE MANHATTAN BRASS CO. BRASS STUDENT LAMP ORIG. MILK GLASS SHADE PAT. 1879
This is an antique solid brass student lamp. It is marked Manhattan Brass Co. NY. Pat. May 23. 76 and Dec. 25, 77 and May 20, 79 and is in very good condition. It retains its original milk glass shade. The shade is very thin and is hand blown. There are some flea bites around the top of the shade. But there are no cracks or chips. The lamp has been electrified but it can be reverted back to kerosene without any damage to the lamp. The oil reservoir is the locking type and iserts and twists to keep it in place. Please see all photos as they are the best representation of condition. The lamp stands 20-1/2" tall overall and the base is 6" in diameter. Check my feedback and Bid with confidence! We could not figure out how this would hang, it has 3 hooks on the inside of the lamp where you will hook the hanging chains, we tried, just couldn't seem to get it right. The light has a pretty and very ornate brass rim and just look at the bottom, it is spectacular, I love the brass design on the bottom, so ornate and beautiful. Antique Brass Ceiling Light Fixture UNO with Glass Shade Pat. Dec 24 1912
BRASS CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE WITH GLASS SHADE I am offering for your consideration this single brass ceiling light fixture with glass shade. The fixture is marked UNO with a patent date of Dec 24 12 and the socket is marked Arrow. It appears to be complete but I have not tried to see if it works- it has a length of wire being approximately 20" coming from the top of the tube at the point where it would mount to the ceiling. It has a 17" drop from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. Good original brass patina with minor discoloration and oxidation. One screw that holds the shade has been replaced and is rusty, the link that attaches the rod to the socket is not brass and small rim chips and roughness around the bottom of the glass shade. Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade This is an antique Art Deco hanging chain ceiling light with a white and tan satin glass shade. The ceiling and light socket fixture are both brass. The chain is brass coated metal. All parts were tested with a magnet. The magnet doesn't stick to the brass parts. But does stick to the chain. It comes with the original cast iron hanging hardware. The light hangs from the ceiling 30" The brass ceiling fixture is 5 1/4" in diameter. The shade measures 7" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. It has the original ceramic socket and cloth insulated wires. There are several breaks in the insulation, so the lamp will have to be rewired. The glass shade is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are wear marks from where the pull chain rubbed on the outside ... moreof the shade. These can be seen in the last picture. This is a vintage 1915-1925 hand painted glass ceiling light globe in wonderful condition. The exterior has been hand painted with a rural scen e. One side depicts a farm setting with house and barn with trees; the opposite sho ws a road curving through trees. The two scenes are separated by water with a likeness of a sail boat on the surface and hills in th e distant background. The glass itself is frosted over a co arse surface that reminds one of ice-chipped glass. The paint has no loss and the colors are rich and vibrant still. There is one thin fitter c hip that barely breaks the surface of the edge and would never show. The globe about 12"W X 6-6.5" H with a 10" fitter. I am excited to offer this gorgeous Italian Murano Fruits chandelier from approximately 1920's. It came out of an estate of folks who traveled Europe and bought beautiful high end decor for their home. C handelier measures 22" from top of glass column to bottom of hanging fruits and is 15" in diameter. What I call medium sized. It has 4 Lights which hold candellabra based bulbs. All four bobeche cups and top ornate column are graduated B lue to L avender M urano glass. Top column ha s a crack& small chip near top which has been glued and is stable. See pic#8. Turn this part to the back and no one w ould know. Body of fixture is birdcage shaped and features central brass column and 2 tiers of brass arms. Lower 4 brass arms have G lass B eadwork and ends of arms heavily adorned with colorful prisms and Maria Teresa flat flower ... morediscs. There are P urple prisms/discs on top tier and A mber on lower tier. Top glass column has glorious glass F ruits and P risms/discs hanging from it on 4 sides. I have up for auction this super nice find. This piece was found in an old estate that I cleaned out. This piece is super awesome and guaranteed old. The is all metal with leafe designs that are all painted cream. Then there is a mirrored back with the light bulb that sticks out. Then on the light bulb are all glass beads that are tied around the light bulb which you can remove when the light bulb burns out. Then all along the perameter of the piece are super great solid glass or crystal tiered round ball prisms. They are all there and the piece is in good shape for its age. The mirror does have some light crazing which is on the back side but just great authentic patina to the piece. The piece measures about 10" in diameter at the widest point. A nice early oil lantern. Unusual cut glass globe with brass ends. Has a metal swivel handle with hook to hang. Sits on a small brass burner. Working condition. You will need to fill with oil as I will be draining it to ship. Stands approx. 11 1/2" tall without handle. Glass is 6" diameter widest. Condition is good, glass does have some scratches to it. Also the burner does not connect to lantern, I'm not sure if it's missing some clamps or? Burner will wedge in to place, but, do not move or lift when lit as it could fall out and cause fire. Up for your consideration is a Art Deco Style Dresser Lamp. The lamp is all frosted glass. With sleek Art Deco lines, the lamp has a large Glass shade, with these same lines, and design, the lamp measures 12" high, and the shade has a circumfrence of 25" around at the bottom of the shade, the lamp is in very good condition no chips or cracks, and uses a 40 amp bulb, the lamp cord is a standard plug, and is in very good condition, and works great. A vintage antique ceiling fixture/ chandelier composed of slag glass and textured glass panels. One of the dark purpled toned slag panels is cracked as is one of the white glass panels, and one seam shows some slight seperation going from the top to bottom. Wire harness and switch are currently working, but the harness shows wear, decay and distress and I would recommend replacing it. Was rewired in the past also, it is not the original wiring harness.

It has a gorgeous cream colored column AND ceiling cap made of porcelain that is beautifully painted with floral motif and accented with gold.This was made by the famous Porcelier Company and it's rare to find the chandelier body and ceiling cap together. And in such fine condition. It is paired with this very nice, pale, sort of creamy beige-ish pink glass shade that is ribbed and scalloped and has no damage at all as far as chips. Available here is an antique art deco light fixture. It has a beautiful skyscraper style milk glass shade. The shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a 6" fitter. The shade only stands approximately 11.5" tall and is approximately 12" across at its widest. The fixture looks to be brass and has been partially painted over. I am not sure of the best way to remove the paint and will let the new owner decide what to do. It has the original socket and cloth wrapped wiring. I have not tested it and would recommend rewiring it for safety. Rewiring this would be pretty simple since it is a single socket. When hung. Hand painted but we think this was done in more recent times. We see the artisan had a few spots of paint outside the lines on the glass. Presented"as found" We see that this is slightly dirty and could use a careful cleaning. No chips or cracks but we do see some fleabites ... moreon the fitter flange. As the glass sits in the base this fixture measures approx. 8 1/2" tall. 4" fitter. The widest part of the glass measures approx. 7 1/4" diameter. The cast iron base measures approx. 6 3/4" diameter x 1 3/4" tall. It has some casting numbers. The glass attaches to the base with three set screws. Albion Antiek Antique Bell Jar Lantern 19th. Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century glass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is ... morejust the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. It is now long abandoned, and its countless widows broken. But it wasn’t that long ago that this factory– like countless such factories across America– was teeming with life. This has incredible floral designs that are not readily obvious until the fixture is lighted. The result is unexpected. And delightful. Under the shade is a wholly separate glass disk that is quite extraordinary. These are normally lost over time so that this critical component remains in situ is amazing. And wonderful. As the 1940s catalog image will attest. The fixture is highly original. Only the finial is different, although the finial on the fixture is almost certainly original(all lighting companies offered subtle variations during the manufacturing span of each light fixture) Above the finial is a small domed disk; this is original, too. They were used on an Orleans style home that was built in Texas. They are hand blown amethyst glass into metal frames. As you can see they were out in the weather and they wire/wrought iron frames have rusted but they are still intact. I have not cleaned them but I did wash some of the dust off of one so you can see the color of the glass. There are some tiny flecks of white paint on the glass you will need to remove as well but that is easily done with paint remover. You will never find ... morea pair of fixtures like these again! I feel they will clean up nicely and one could re-paint the wire to preserve it from further rust. They come in two peices that you would screw together. They will need to be re-wired as they have the old fabric covered wiring. The small pieces go on the top with a"ring" to hang them from. Sadly. One of them has broken areas on one side. If you are adventurous you might be able to get them repaired but I would not even begin to know how. OR you could just turn that one to the backside so it could not be seen. The Gill buildings are extant, although they look a lot less attractive than they did as pictured, proudly, in Gill catalogs. The immediate area around the factory was all housing(and still is) and it can be assumed that many of these homeowners worked for Gill– an easy commute. All this seems like an ancient time, a lost age far, far away when America actually made stuff. Quality stuff. Too. And when people didn’t have long commutes to work, and when railroads were powerful and important. Sigh. During the 1950s and 1960s. This style fixture was one of THE iconic looks. It’s just dazzling. I’ve collected Gill Glass for years now and have long admired the quality of their fixtures and high style. But normally I come across Gill fixtures from the 1930s and 1940s. Exquisite Antique Ceiling Light Fixture This listing is for a unique antique ceiling light fixture. The entire fixture extends just 8 1/2" from the ceiling. The ceiling canopy measures 4 3/4" across. The frosted ribbed shade measures 5 1/4" tall. It features a fantastic scalloped edge; which gives it a square cut layered appearance. Complete with the original three tier brass finial. The canopy paint shows some light wear; and the harp is oxidized. The shade has a small crack/chip where the finial rests. It should have a washer between them. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. This darling antique brass pendant light is a Vintporium favorite. The fixture has a drop of 34 inches and a width of 14 inches. The fixture features new cloth covered wiring. New mounting bracket, and new socket guts while keeping the old socket casings. The fixture has a solid brass ceiling pan, solid brass shade fitters and an antique brass painted steel chain. The shades are a wonderful frosted and painted glass. This is an old piece and is showing its antiquity with inconsistencies in the brass finish, aging spots in the ceiling pan, some tarnishing in the steel chain, a couple of very small superficial chips on the bottom rim of the glass shades and a little scuffing on the top of the shades(all of which are pretty common to old fixtures) Suitable for dry locations.
