Incredible slip shade light fixture. All original, this has a switch in the bottom that is in great working condition, three satin glass caramel slip shades with floral design, the holders for the slip shades and the insert are copper colored cast metal as is the canopy, all in really beautiful condition. The canopy has some light paint marks from painting on the ceiling at some time in it's past. Shades have no chips, cracks or flaws that I can find. The rod that holds the fixture is marked B.B. Co. Drop from the ceiling is 30" could be shortened to about 22" about 13" from shade to shade across. Buyer must purchase mounting hardware. Wiring works but may be replaced at buyers discretion. RARE MATCHING ANTIQUE 1930'S ART DECO 5& 3 LIGHT SLIP SHADE CHANDELIERS BY J.C. VIRDEN From the Rayburn Series. Striking antique three and five light light semi-flush mount slipper shade chandeliers. By J.C. Virden, dating from the 1930s. Aluminum with original copper and gold polychrome finish. The design features angular ziggurat details with decorative flower and vine panels. The pressed glass amber slip shades have a similar floral, vine and ziggurat details and put out a warm pleasing glow. These art deco fixtures have a unique ridged starburst canopy. Coming down in a pole to the chandelier body. Both fixtures are in as-found condition. Bought to be used in our home but we found a Lincoln set that worked better with our colors. The finish has aged to a nice patina with some light tarnish on the edges. Both would need to be rewired ... moreor I can do it for you for an additional price. No cracks or large chips. But some of the shades have natural imperfections from the glass pressing process that are not apparent when viewing from a normal chandelier viewing angle.
