Here for consideration is a magnificent chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari produced I imagine by lightolier with heavy brass. Heavy chrome, hundreds of glass rods and a feel much larger than the measurements suggest. This is a chandelier that can only be seriously appreciated in-person and not via photos. Plenty of photos provided showing details to see how good this is. Please review them all. General Description: Gaetano Sciolari has designed many great pieces. And this one is one of the largest designed. This exact chandelier may be found on first dibs, and another seller on ebay also has one listed with frankly, more alluring photos than mine- I do not have a studio. I photographed it with only about 40% of the rods in place due to the weight that was bearing on the ceiling hook. Twelve 40 watt bulbs illuminate 204 glass rods that are 18" each suspended on 6 solid brass and chrome plates that alternate in height. The quality of the brass and chrome is second-to-none. This chandelier came from an institution in West Virginia with a 7 foot chain linking it to a ceiling plate. The chandelier was kept in a humidity and temperature controlled environment which means it has survived well. It measures approx. 21" high from the top of the hanger finial to the bottom of the lower row of glass rods and is 21" wide. Condition: Brass and chrome is almost near perfect with only mention of some scuffing and light scratches to very few areas- not worth the mention but for the sake of accuracy must be. The only area to show any real patina is on the central spoke holding the three arms to the 6 fixtures. The janitors took good care of this but in the process over time. 5 of the glass rods have been broken- as the fixture has internal rods and external rods we recommend either sourcing 5 rods, or simply omitting them from the interior rod arra

Vintage Art Deco Wall Sconce Light Fixture Candle Style Very Nice Lightolier?
Here is a vintage/antique Art Deco Style Double Wall Sconce Light Fixture. Although it feels and looks like cast iron. It must be some other metal as it is not magnetic. It does however have a beautiful look to it, with golds, reds, and greens, in a wonderful old design. This piece measures 12" in height, is about 10" wide, and projects from the wall about 4" The original'dripping' candle paper light holders are in wonderful shape- one of them does have a slight tear on the back side. This looks like it could be a lightolier piece, but I can find no markings, other than 1004 S stamped in the bottom of each candle holder. At first I thought they were custard glass. But these shades are quite different. Custard glass has a. Ah, solidness about the color. The shades here are more akin to a pearl. And with a luscious luminescent quality. When lighted, the glow of the bulb makes it look like a fire is inside the shade– there is a red glow, and this moves as you move around the shade. I cannot really describe the effect(and nor could I get an image) but the effect is obvious in person and really striking. I could find no info on this type glass. So, I do hereby name thee Fire Glass! The ceiling mounts are original to the shades. The fixtures are petite. The shades are 9-1/2-inches wide. And 5-1/2-inches high. Restored 30s Vintage Art Deco Lightolier Glass Ceiling Light Fixture Chandelier
Description: This beautiful 1930s Art Deco chandelier was made by the Lightolier Company. This is all original. But with new porcelain sockets and new wiring. The bottom silvertone finial is a replacement. The shade is clear glass, frosted in a soft, off-white color, with clear stylized leaves and a clear border. The clear glass stem and clear glass bottom donut are original. The metal components are silvertone and all original. Beautiful! The light hangs down 20 inches, and measures 14-1/4 inches in diameter. This fixture takes three standard size bulbs. And would work well in a living room, dining room, bedroom or kitchen. And for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company(extant today of course) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier! The fixtures are typically Lightolier in being rather ingenious. The shades have little leg-like extensions on top. Creating a space between the shade proper and the chrome fitter above. The finial has pierced openings. The reason for all this? You can use 100W bulbs without the fixtures overheating. The heat from the bulbs will create an air current. This will draw cool air up through the openings in the finial. And out through the openings between the shade legs. Clever? I think so! The shades are also striking. The edges have very thin raised lines. And the bottoms have a highly textured, dimpled surface. Nice. The smaller fixture is especially adorable. Each glass shade has minor issues(see last images) The larger shade has two tiny chips. The small shade has three.

These light fixtures are stunning whether the sconces are illuminated or not which makes them a wonderful focal point for any room! With a shade in place. Each sconce measures approximately 10.5 inches in length, 5 inches in width and extends from the wall by just under 4 inches. I believe that the metal backplates are made of brass ~ very heavy and not magnetic. The painted finish is cracking due to age ~ some people like this antique/shabby chic type of look while others may want to refinish the metal. There is no rust present and all of the electrical is vintage so they should be reworked ... moreelectrically prior to use. The three matching slip shades have a wonderful floral type pattern on the front and side of the glass. I believe that these floral decorations are applied via decalcomanias. The colors are still very vibrant after 80 some years! The shades have some fitter roughness and two have some minor chipping on the top edge. This is an older brass? wall sconce electric light fixture from Lightolier; it takes a regular screw-base light bulb and has a small pull chain on/off base. Fixture has a glass curved globe with a stylized floral motif. Also included in the sale is a second identical globe. Fixture must be rewired to the base as wires were cut rather close to the back of the fixture. Authentic Vintage interesting mid-century modern chandelier from circa 1970 and believed to be made by Lightolier. Whatever globes it had on it are missing also. See description above. It's a 5 arm chandelier with a light also in the middle that would shine below. Approx. 20" high and approx. 19" in diameter and the aluminum poles without the chrome cap and lamp.the poles alone are 12" long. The chrome is CHROME like we used to see on old car bumpers and it needs a polishing and the poles are either brushed or spun aluminum and the center panels in the arms seem to be made out of a thick linoleum type plastic and have turned slightly yellow or need to be cleaned but I'm sure they were bright white when this was new. The chandelier measures approximately 36 inches in length and 10 inches wide. I do not know what type of metal the fixture is made out of. However, it is very light in weight. The canopy does have a couple of slight bends where it touches the ceiling, but this is not very noticeable because of the wall paint on the canopy! The electrical should be reworked prior to use for safety sake. The globe is in excellent condition with some minor chipping on the top edge only. ANTIQUE VINTAGE LIGHTOLIER ART DECO MID CENTURY SCIOLARI STYLE CHANDELIER 27"
Here you will find a very beautiful example of the Art Deco style chandelier. I am unsure of the age. But I do know it is a vintage piece and in excellent original condition. Done in the geometric skyscraper design, it compliments the strong, sleek, graceful flowing shapes of that great Era. This chandelier is a very heavy, substantial quality fixture made by Lightolier, possibly by the designer Sciolari, although I am not certain. I have on rare occasions seen other similar smaller ones on Ebay that were designed by Sciolari. This one does have the Lightolier emblem. I have never seen one this large before. You can tell this was a very expensive chandelier, nothing cheap about it. It takes 12 small base bulbs and is an impressive 22 inches wide by 27 inches long. It is meant to be direct wired, flush with the ceiling. It could be easily ... moreconverted to hang lower, as it has an area where a chain could be attached. It is in great vintage shape, both physically and working condition. The 30 thick clear etched, frosted glass pieces are in perfect condition, no chips or cracks and all are accounted for. The glass pieces are 25 inches, 16 inches and 8 inches. The top is a super shiney chrome that further enhances the lighting with its fabulous reflective effects. The gorgeous light that this fixture disperses is very mesmerizing. It is a grand piece and displays as such. I have included photos of the beautiful effects with the use of a dimmer as well.
