2 Vintage Ace Lighting Art Deco Ball Swag Lamps
I believe this to be a vintage reproduction of a much earlier style. I'm guessing this was manufactured in approx 1970. It will need to be rewired to insure safe operation. The nice heavy glass ball shrouds are in perfect condition. The metal is cast but I'm not sure of it's content. Check out the cool detail on the swag chain shown in pic 7. Lamps today are definitely not made as solid and built to last as these were in the 70's. It's possible that the hardware loops that hold the fixture to the chain may not be original(to me. The finish seems slightly different. Overall, these are awesome vintage lamps and once rewired will be an impactful focal point in your home and provide many years of use. I have other Mid Century Modern items and more lamps listed seperately. Awesome find here a Mid Century hanging lamp with a great design. The way this one is designed you can actually flip it over and use as a table lamp. This has minor wear you would expect on a lamp from the 1960s and it has a nice long cord on it with a switch built in. Vintage Hollywood Retro 60's Large Grape Cluster Hanging Swag Acrylic Lighting
Very cool vintage amber color grape cluster swag lighting. These were popular in the 60's& 70's. Now making a retro come back. I did plug this in and changed a couple of bulbs to see if it worked, it takes the small base bulbs, there were still a couple of the old bulbs left on there. I does light up, has an in line switch but you might want to have it checked out. There is about 11 feet of chain, this is corroded and might need replacing or a coat of the metal type spray paint. It is very heavy and a few of the grapes have scuff marks, I did wipe it down a little but it could use a good cleaning. The cluster hangs from a 13 1/2" branch wrapped in artificial grape vine leaves, it is 17" tall from top to bottom and is about 10" deep. All items is sell are from local estates. I usually don't know much about their ... morehistory. If I do I will state it. I mostly just knock off the surface dirt& dust. I don't want to ruin any ot the patina. Any defects I find I will state them. If it's electrical I will plug it in to see if it works. If it doesn't I will state that. Here is a fantastic 60's era swag light fixture. It came right out of my mother's estate and is in excellent vintage condition. There are many jewel colored lucite panels. Which are textured and look exactly like stained glass. All are in pristine condition, no cracks, chips, blemishes. I took it apart and cleaned all of it, including the chain and cord. It has been hanging unmoved for over 45 years. Only sign of age is that the diffuser inside is dis colored, which can't be seen. This light is amazing when lit. It is immaculate and beautiful. This a stunning Mid Century Danish Modern acrylic and walnut(or teak) swag lamp with brass accents. It measures 22 tall" tall to top of finial. 22" tall x 10 1/2" wide at widest point, the chain and cord measure a very long 16' so it could be hung just about anywhere. It features candlestick bulb holders, smoky colored acrylic, and curved wood. It is in very condition with just minor signs of age- it probably dates from the 1970s. Vintage brass swag lamp with brass chain socket and base ceiling lighting
Vintage brass swag hanging light fixture. The base. Mount, socket housing and chain are all brass. It has the original socket and cloth covered wiring. The wiring may need to be updated and some of it has been painted gold for some reason. The socket has a turn type switch on the side. It hangs down 22" has a 4 1/2" base and the socket has a 2 1/2" fitter. It is all in good condition for it's age. I have described the items condition to the best of my knowledge. Beautiful set of vintage swag lights. Made by Thomas Industries from the"Moe" lighting era. Made of cast brass with a rich patina. Each swag measures about 18 1/2" from bottom to the chain. One hangs 46 1/2" from the ceiling, the other 30" The canopy piece is 4 7/8" These require a 100 watt max bulb(not included) As with any used or vintage item there will be some"flea bites" here and there, the only ones I found are on the top ceiling canopy piece.
