Vintage Wrought Iron Gothic Medieval Castle Style Wall Sconce
Please note: Black& Grayish areas on wall sconce is not two colors or fading. Just dusty of which I have cleaned. Just forgot to wipe it down before taking pics. Here’s another blast from the past during the Gothic Revival style in home décor during the 1960’s and early 1970’s. This Wall Sconce is made out of metal or what was called Pot Metal back in the day and painted over to look like wrought iron. However. This one may be painted cast aluminum. It has a flat satin paint finish and was a less expensive way to get the look one was after without the expense of genuine wrought iron, plus it’s also light weight when hanging on the wall so if it came crashing down it wouldn’t do very much damage to the wall or whatever lied beneath. There is no makers mark on the back. But it does come with a ruby red diamond pattern hobnail glass ... morevotive candle holder which glows beautifully when a candle is lit. The glass votive still has it’s original ribbed rubber band at its base so as to mount into the sconce without it slipping around. There are no cracks, chips or breakage and is in excellent vintage condition. This wall scone measures approximately 17-½” inches tall by 8” inches wide by a depth of 3-½” inches. It is excellent condition for a vintage item. FINE PRINT: As with all vintage/antique items there may be normal wear. Dings, dents, scratches and other unique details that do not take away from the value or function, but add to the history and character of the item. Thank You.Sam HUGE Antique Gothic Style 12-Light Castle Chandelier made out of thick heavy gauge steel to look like wrought iron in order to reduce the tension weight on a ceiling. It’s still a hefty piece and one quarter of the weight of something made from wrought iron. But still gives you the look and feel of medieval style castle lighting. Chandelier measures 4’ feet across and approximately 12” inches tall to the top of the sockets. The round candle plate holders underneath the sockets are approximately 8" inches across. The swag chain hangs another 36” inches from the ceiling downward. I really hate parting with ... moreit since it took me two years to save up enough money to purchase it and was planned for a renaissance style booth building. To purchase something on this large a scale in genuine wrought iron would cost $5.000-$6,000 or possibly more, so if you want to save some money and go for function, style and the look of a medieval gothic lighting for your home or booth this is a less expensive and a better alternative cost effective chandelier. 1970's Vintage Genuine Wrought Iron Gothic Medieval Style Black Wall Sconce
And here we have available this vintage wall sconce also from the 1960's early 1970's in the Gothic Revival style in home décor which is made out of what I believe to be genuine wrought iron metal. It is quite a heavy and a solid piece showing a natural texture finish on the front and a spade shape on top. It has a fluted drip plate and the candle holder cup has a scalloped edge. There is a gold brass crown piece around the candle holder part which I assume used to hold a tall glass cover over the candle which is missing. There is no makers mark. But it does have the number 1127 embossed into the back. It does not come with a votive glass candle holder since it's meant to hold a tapered candle of which there is some minor residue in the cup. It measures approximately 12" inches tall with the ruffled base 3" inches ... morein diameter. There are no cracks, chips or breakage and is in excellent vintage condition. FINE PRINT: As with all vintage/antique items there may be normal wear. Dings, dents, scratches and other unique details that do not take away from the value or function, but add to the history and character of the item. Old French large wrought iron& copper sconces Medieval style Up for offer today a very unique pair of French wrought iron and copper sconces. The back plate is made out of very thick wrought iron and the torch is made out of copper. The shades are original to these sconces. Total height is 26 ½” Height torch itself without the shade is 20” Depth is 9 ¾” The white spots you see on the back plate is paint from the wall it hung. These sconces date back to the late 1940’s– beginning 1950’s period. These unique torches still have The European wiring and will need to be rewired to work in The USA or anywhere else in the world. These sconces came out of a very large estate in The South of France. These have a medieval– Gothic style to them. These are not production pieces, but custom made lights at the time for the owner. HUGE SPANISH REVIVAL / SOUTHWEST STYLE HAND WROUGHT IRON SCONCES W/ TILES
Hello. I am offering this pair of Wonderful hand wrought iron wall sconces with Tiles and wonderful Spanish Revival styling They are a large measuring approx. 25"H x 15"W x 7 1/2"D. The finish is a dark patinated green rustic perfect for a French or Italian style villa or the rustic Spanish Revival Hacienda. The tiles are marked as per photos. There is a minor paint splatter on one cup as per photo. I am using with candles. Though they could easily be wired for electricity since the extension arm is hollow and inside cup has rod for standard socket se photo, also one could add glass storm shades the fitter cup is 2 3/8" The previous owner had them since 1960's so they are at lease 50 some years old.
