Markel Slip Shade Wall Sconce. Art Deco era and mainly these were made in the 30s. The glass is in excelle nt condition and could not find any flea bites. Obviously chips or cracks. This glass is very special and made with uranium in it, so when under b lack light it glows. Rare to find this glass still and especially in this condition. The frame is of a cast metal and heavier metal at that. It has been cleaned and r estored to a medium gold. And oil rubbed to enhance the details of the frame. The brass turn switch has been replaced with a new one and the socket and wiring also. The bulb it would take is a standard size bulb that w ith a regular base. The wattage of 60 or less is recomm ended. Especially for the presentation of the color of the shade. The stronger wattage the less color of the glass. very good condition considering age(not sure exactly around 1940's my guess sockets may have been replaced or rewired plastic insulation) one glass globe has tiny chip on top but also has the frosted look so my have come from factory. 3/8" thick glass. frosted and hand painted. globes are 7 1/2" tall 5" wide and 4" deep. sconces are light weight pot metal or aluminum not sure non magnetic. they are dark brown. not sure if original paint but they do match shades. they measure 9 3/8 x 5 1/2. very ornate. no markings that i can see except on leviton sockets/switches. one is missing switch nob but still seems to work.

ANTIQUE Gorgeous Lightolier Art Deco Period chrome wall sconce base for use with a slip shade. This is the chrome base only. the last picture shows what this originally looked like and these are available in another listing. again. For this listing you are getting the metal base only. ALL ORIGINAL piece with the metal section at 9” tall and 4.25” across at its widest. Two cast holes allow for easy attachment with your hardware. The socket has a paper board sleeve over what looks like a brass fitting/ socket. A metal turn style switch at the base of the socket area turns it on/ off. The paper board socket cover has wear and you may wish to replace it but it is not necessary. Beautiful pair art deco chrome sconces with opalescent slip shades. The chrome is in excellent condition. The shades have some flea bites around the edges but are otherwise undamaged. The wire and sockets look good but are untested. They have push button style switches both have a good sounding click. They would be an great pair for a bathroom. They can be fitted to a standard size junction box. Overall I consider them to be in very good condition. They measure approx. 7 1/4"tall X 3 7/8"wide x 3"depth. Antique VTG Art Deco Nouveau Metal Wall Sconce Light Slip Shade Style No Shade
Beautiful antique wall sconce for restoration. Made of either copper or bronze, I cannot tell for sure. Switch was made by Leviton, back of sconce only says design and mechanics have patent and USA, no maker name that I can see. It measures approx. 13" in length, and is 6 3/4" at widest point. Socket says 125 to 250 V. This would take a slip shade, which unfortunately was not with it when found. Opening at top that shade would go down into(widest part) is approx. 5 1/4" It has original patina, but where some of the patina has rubbed off I see a some color to the metal, looks copper. This is an authentic beautiful Art Deco sconce manufacture by Lincoln co in 1920's. The glass slip shade is a wonderful amber color with deeply sculpted roses below a fanned pattern. Lightolier Slip Shade Light Fixture Set Rare Slipper Chandelier Sconce
A fantastic original Lightolier brand slip shade chandelier set in the rare Swag& Urn pattern c. 1920s. Set includes a 6 shade chandelier. 3 shade chandelier, 2 sconces. Both chandeliers have the original Lightolier stickers. This set came from a vintage home in the picturesque wine country of Napa Valley in Northern California. The house where these were installed was built in the 1920s. I purchased this set from the family of the original owners approximately 7 years ago and got to visit the home where they were originally installed. It was an adorable home with coved ceilings. Alcoves, built-ins and hard wood floors. The fixtures were uninstalled approximately 30 years ago and placed in storage. The chandeliers are entirely original with all original wiring still functioning. The sconces have been rewired. The frames have a polychrome ... morebronze finish and Art Nouveau styling with flower and shell design details on the frames. The custard glass shades have the Swag and Urn pattern and a lovely scalloped edge detail. Set includes: 1- 6 Shade Dining Chandelier 1- 3 Shade Entry Chandelier 6 light and 3 light chandelier shade size: 5 1/2" length. 4 3/4" depth, 4 1/4" wide 2- Sconces: 10"h x 6"w x 4 1/2"d Bonus: Including an additional single bulb hall fixture from the same home(fixture is designed to use a decorative bulb with no shade. A couple shades have of some stress lines in the glass that do not go all the way through. Most of the shades are perfect. Gorgeous antique cast metal slip shade stye sconce fixture. Measures about 5 ½" wide by 7 ½" long. Very good condition for age. Has a lovely pattern and nice bronze/copper finish. There is a little discoloration at the bottom tip of fixture, but I was afraid to try and clean it. I believe the piece is cast iron as it is quite heavy, but it could be cast aluminum, or spelter. This is a beautiful antique wall sconce for restoration. It has original copper socket and wiring so this would need replacing. Old Antique Pink Glass Slip Shade Light Fixture Ceiling Sconce Shade Only
One pink slip shade light fixture slipper only. Am NOT selling the ceiling fixture. The slip shade is PINK. This was for a ceiling fixture, there originally were three. THIS ONE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, really quite nice. Great detail and style. It is about 6 1/2" long overall, at the widest point where it would slide into the fitter it is about 5" wide, goes down to about 2" at the bottom. No reserve. Read particulars. ANTIQUE ART DECO ALUMINUM BOBECHES - SLIP SHADE LIGHT FIXTURE CHANDELIER SCONCE
Up for auction is a very nice set of four(4) bobeches or electric socket adornments for an antique Art Nouveau or Art Deco or Arts and Crafts chandelier or ceiling hanging light fixture. I believe these are aluminum and they are quite heavy at 3 pounds unpacked. These are most likely from the early 1900's or the very early 1920's. They would fit around the socket of a fixture or sconce to help decorate the piece. Each piece is about 4.25 wide overall and has an interior opening of 1-7/16. I see no damage to note; no chips. No cracks or breaks and no repairs. I'm unsure of the exact age but they are guaranteed to be very old. I'm also unsure of the maker. Though it could be by Lincoln, Markel, Miller, Paramount, Beller, General Electric or another high quality manufacturer. Moe Bridges Virden ERA Slip Shade Sconce Light 1920's All Original Art Deco
This is a original cast iron slip shade sconce. Needs a glass shade. The switch seems ok it clicks like it should when turned. Total length 10" width 6 1/2" The top of the slot is 4 5/8" wide The length of the slot is 4 1/2" It has some wall paint along the edges. No makers mark. Could be Moe Bridges or Virden you decide.

I think these slip shades are from the 1920-30 era. Last 3 photos show chips. One of the shades has a larger chip on the bottom part(photo 10) that is 3/4 inch long. That same shade has tiny chips on the edges(see last photo) The other shade has the chipping that is shown on 11th photo. No other cracks or repairs. See photos to see measurements.
