I have never seen this tapered mast anywhere before. They came painted as seen in the last picture. They have been stripped and waxed with refurbished pull chain period fat boy sockets. The lanterns had several changes of glass. I hand cut the quality Kokomo slag glass for these so they all match. One has more of a copper color than the other, probably red brass. All the parts that show are brass. In the second from last picture next to the ball pull you might be able to see a small ding and tiny tear in the metal but is really not noticeable and part of the wear on these. They are not perfect and show minor dings and spots but all is redone and rewired and ready for ... moreanother 100 plus years of service. They hang down 23 1/4" to the bottom of the shade, with pull chains the drop is 28 inches. They are set up to easily adjust the length of the pull chain. These would work well on a long Bungalow porch or even as sconces if you want a drop like these have. From a wonderful collector comes this vintage brass Arts& Crafts style lantern or ceiling light made with the most stunning slag glass I've ever seen. It has an amoebic. Undulating, ethereal quality. Arts & Crafts Chandelier Caramel Slag Glass Lantern w/ Acanthus Leaves Gas Arms
Early 20th Arts& Crafts chandelier with caramel slag glass lantern center body and two gas arms that have been converted to electricity. Four rectangular panels of caramel slag and the four bent glass panels in the access door appear to be original and free from cracks or repairs. Both gas arms have been electrified. Period keyless Edison sockets have been installed inside of the cast brass Acanthus leaf covers. The finial located on the bottom of each arm originally doubled as the gas shut off valve. The socket located inside of the center body is accessed via the bent glass panels door located on the bottom of the fixture. One side is hinged and the opposite features a cast brass latch. Ca 1930 Vintage Mission Style Slag Glass Hanging Ceiling Lantern Light Fixture
Description: This lantern is made of brass. And still has the original brown paint. The six"amber" slag glass panels appear to be the original pieces, and they resemble onyx marble. They are in excellent condition with no cracks. The fixture has new brown cloth-covered wiring. The brown paint does show some wear, and some paint splatters on the top, which is hinged to allow access to the socket. The top hinges have been re-soldered, and they work perfectly. The repair is on the top of the fixture and not visible at all when the fixture is hung. The fixture hangs down 29-3/4" total. The hang can be shortened to 23" by removing all of the chain links except for one. I will be happy to do this before shipment. At no additional cost. Vintage Antique Gothic Mission Hanging Light Lantern 20" Tall Honey Slag Glass
For your consideration is this magnificent light from an old mission in Southern California. It has all of it's original honey Slag Glass and it's original canopy. The light measures 20 1/2" tall and is 9 1/2" across. The chain and canopy measure 22" in length and the canopy is 5" across. The sides panes measure 10" tall by 5 1/2" across. So this is a nice sunstantial size light. As shown, this light is fabulous with all of it's glass, on the roof, sides and the bottom. It light's up beautifully. The condition is very good, the light has been rewired.
