1920's Arts & Crafts Slag Glass Hanging Light Fixture Mission Hammered Copper
This auction is for an authentic 1920's ARTS& CRAFTS hammered copper light fixture with slag glass panel inserts. They are all carmelized and I am sure cast a nice warm glow when lit. This was obtained from an estate sale just outside of Detroit. Michigan and the light fixtures came from a 1920's bungalow home. These were original to the home according to the previous owner. This older light fixture has the chain link and original ceiling cap which is also made of copper. The light hangs 16" from the ceiling and the fixture itself measures 7 1/2" in height. The fixture may need to be rewired as I have never seen a plug like the one found on the end. Some older soldering marks are seen, but not bad. Offered at absolutely no reserve and guaranteed to be vintage and original as described. Being sold'as found/as described' ... moredue to possibly needing to be rewired as mentioned. NICE ART AND CRAFTS SLAG GLASS GOTHIC HANGING PORCH LIGHT
This auction is for a neat Art and Crafts period Gothic style hanging porch light. It has 8 slag glass and amber glass panels. The light has a great look but has a few minor losses that are not too noticable. Especially if it is hanging. First it is missing two decorative finials, one on one top corner and one on the bottom. One amber glass panel has some light crackling to the glass. It is not broken through and the glass is in tact. It is also missing the piece that would cover the wiring where it gos into the ceiling. There is some light paint loss to the metal but it only serves to give the light character. The piece measures about 13" tall from top to bottom and about 7" wide at the top, narrowing smaller to the bottom. Sold with No reserve! THanks for your bid and Good Luck!

This is a wonderful pair of vintage metal Mission Arts and Crafts style Porch/Bungalow lights. Not an expert on material but I did a magnet test& it DOES NOT adhere to the metal. These are ceiling hanging fixtures with stunning caramel-colored slag glass panels. The slag glass even has a gorgeous iridescence to it. The tops look like they are riveted. The light sockets inside are still intact& usable. The sockets feel& look like porcelain. The wiring is CLOTH original to the fixtures and is still intact. Was told at the estate sale lights were hanging in place and working just fine, however, you might want to have an electrician to check them over since it still has the antique cloth wiring. Both fixtures are in exceptionally good condition for the age. Appears to have been in their original location and hung there for many many ... moreyears. The textured amber glass I was told is original to the fixtures and ALL PANELS are in good condition with no cracks or breaks. I did notice one of the panels are inserted in reverse and probably hung that way unnoticed. Also the cap that hugs the ceiling is missing on one but should be an easy replacement. Description: This lantern is made of brass. And still has the original brown paint. The six"amber" slag glass panels appear to be the original pieces, and they resemble onyx marble. They are in excellent condition with no cracks. The fixture has new brown cloth-covered wiring. The brown paint does show some wear, and some paint splatters on the top, which is hinged to allow access to the socket. The top hinges have been re-soldered, and they work perfectly. The repair is on the top of the fixture and not visible at all when the fixture is hung. The fixture hangs down 29-3/4" total. The outer structure is made of Brass or Copper not sure with some very unique detailing through out the light fixture. It measures: 24 wide on each of the 4 panels 24 inches tall to the top of finial excluding the chain that attaches to the ceiling It is in excellent working condition and has a plug in on the end of the wire.You can also just cut off plug and hard wire it into your ceiling outlet. Vintage Antique Gothic Mission Hanging Light Lantern 20" Tall Honey Slag Glass
For your consideration is this magnificent light from an old mission in Southern California. It has all of it's original honey Slag Glass and it's original canopy. The light measures 20 1/2" tall and is 9 1/2" across. The chain and canopy measure 22" in length and the canopy is 5" across. The sides panes measure 10" tall by 5 1/2" across. So this is a nice sunstantial size light. As shown, this light is fabulous with all of it's glass, on the roof, sides and the bottom. It light's up beautifully. The condition is very good, the light has been rewired. The bronze finish is painted, but original to the light and in good condition, the best way I can describe the painted bronze finish is that it almost looks like a"velevety Matte finish" There are a few scratches in the paint, but not many. ... morePhoto# 8 and# 10, if you zoom in) show that there is some light colored paint on the one side. Antique Vintage Mission Arts & Crafts Hanging Slag Glass Ceiling Light Lamp
This auction is for a vintage Arts and Crafts period hanging ceiling light. The metal appears to be brass and the glass panels are heavy slag glass in the caramel swirl color. The light is offered in its as is condition and here is the description. It is wired with the old fabric cord wire cover. And it will definitely need to be rewired. It is left in its as found dirty condition. And it will need to be cleaned by the new owner. Lastly. The three sides of the light fixture have the original slag glass panels which are in intact condition without any cracks or breaks. The fourth side of the light however. Is missing its original glass panel. The good news is though. That the previous owner has provided two separate pieces of the exact color and type of antique slag glass for replacement. These two smaller panels will fit exactly on the inside ... moreof the lamp. And because of the vertical metal section creating the four squares on each side of the lamp, it will not show from the outside that this one side has indeed two pieces of glass on the inside instead of one. The only slight issue is. That the new owner will have to put something inside the metal bottom grooving of the lamp, inside of which these two pieces of glass will be sitting, in order to raise it a bit, so that the new pieces of slag glass fit and cover the entire opening. This is because the two new(old) pieces of slag glass are slightly shorter than the other glass panels. If the new owner would rather use one complete slag glass panel to complete this side. Then the slag glass would have to be 6 7/8" long X 5" wide. We tried to show this detail in some of our pictures where one can see the new glass inserts as they would look if they are not raised slightly. Please feel free to ask questions. As we understand that this is quite complicating and we are not sure if our description explains everything clearly. This is a hanging ceiling light fixture with slag glass panels and tassels. One tassel is missing. It measures 22" high overall and is 5 3/4" square at the top. It is in need of re-wiring, one of the panels is not in place but the glass is fine, the top cover is loose for some reason on one corner and the canopy cover is bent some as well.
