this is a rare electrified cherubs Italian/ French Rococo wall sconce set in wrought iron. Late 1800s I was told, in great shape, both sconces light up very nice, the porcelain cherubs both hang on to their metal bases and are removable, porcelains have minor little nicks, no missing fingers or toes, patina in very good shape, they both measure; 18" high x 14" wide, cherubs measure; 9" x 7" wide.

Pair of beautiful late Victorian or Art Nouveau electrified candle sconces in ornate brass. They are marked on the back with PCCF. And +++++ underneath. At first I had thought they were made for a church(and they may well have been) but some internet research found another piece with the PCCF markings. Skinner Auctions sold a French Art Nouveau fireplace screen marked PCCF and 151CC for $652 in June of 2011. So these are definitely high end sconces; substantial. Ornate and beautiful metalwork from all angles. They measure approximately 8-1/2" high. 6-1/4" deep, and 3" wide at candle cup. Probably made for candles. I believe someone has wired them. These sconces have a great age patina. These date back to the early 1900's or about.
