It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! Hi up for sale is lot of 4 antique cast metal wall sconces. There are 2 with two arms and 2 with one arm. They have a shield like motif. The double armed ones are 9 1/2" tall at the center part. And about 9 1/2" across. They stick out 3 1/4" the paper socket covers that look like candles are 5" tall, they have some wear. The single ones are 9 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" across. All have turn switches toward the bottoms, all have the hangers that the finials go through the centers, one is already attached in the pic. They are in good shape, have some finish wear. Marked Riddle Co Design Made in USA I can't authenticate this but the previous owner told me they came out of the John Deere House in Moline IL. These hung outside of a residence in Brussels Belgium. On the front door left and right of the door. But covered under a roof of the entrance. So these were protected from the rain etc… On another note. These sconces are not made to hang them straight in open air. These are not waterproof etc… These come with 5 pieces of glass each. We replaced these with new ones as the old ones were cracked and missing. The glass is new. 4 on each side of the sconce and one underneath. Originally these were painted or finished is a black paint. Rust was coming trough here and there. So somebody in the past finished these in this reddish color finish. You can either leave these ... morelike that. Which I personally prefer as it shows the age and character of the sconces much more. Up for consideration is a fine set of 7 double arm bronze Gothic/Tudor/Medieval wall sconces. The sconces measure 14 1/2 inches tall 9 1/2. They are bronze with two arms with a back plate that has a variety of themes. There is some panther heads that are peeping out from behind a shield. There are some Art Nouveau type floral embellishment in the center. A Gothic stained glass window type back drop with a winged Gargoyle on the bottom. Some of the sconces have a blue backplate and a few have a burgundy color. Both look to be original coloration. 1 Pair Antique European Gilded Crystal Bronze Sconces ( Made in Portugal )
This pair of lovely Vintage Gilded Sconces with all their Original Vintage parts. The connection of lights do work when properly installed on the wall it is one beautiful Vintage/Antique looking pair. They are from around the late 1930's- These are European and Made in Portugal. They have a Gold Patina with the dark area's it comes with it's original Carved Crystal Chimney's( Very Good Condition. No chips or cracks on them) there is some age to the crystal prisms with some chips. This is solid bronze and very heavy. See pictures with measurements and see the beauty. Pair Antique Mirror Tin Candle Holder Wall Sconces Americana Circa 1800's 9-1/2"
A very. Very old and very nicely preserved pair of Mirrored Tin Candle Holders/Sconces. 10-3/4" overall top to bottom of bobech. 7-1/4" diameter, 5-3/4" deep. Check pictures carefully, the few flaws are well documented in the photos. Some minor rust on back, very few discolored mirrors as seen in the pictures. Very few flaws for handmade soldered tin and crimped wax catchers. Excellent condition for the age of these Americana Concave wall candle holders. HARD TO FIND MARKEL SLIP SHADE WALL SCONCES Presented in a Buy It Now format are a Lot of Markel Slip Shade Sconces with a single slip shade. This purchase includes 3 sconce metal back plates and one glass shade. With the shade in place. The sconce measures approximately 11 in length, 5.5 inches wide and extends from the wall 5 inches. The shade is a rare original with no cracks or large chips. It does need to be cleaned. Please review our posted photos to see the factory finish on this shade. Much of the shade has a factory applied brown paint however the manufacturer left some of the shade's clear glass exposed ~ which resembles clear pinstriping the length of the shade and also a clear glass tip. Very classy! The 3 back plates have differences with respect to color and type of finish. Please refer to our large format photos to view ... morethe various colors. One of the back plates looks as though it was painted gold and it is not magnetic so it is probably made out of bronze. The next back plate is also most likely made out of bronze metal and has a Beaver on/off turn button. The last back plate is also made out of bronze metal and appears to have its original bronze wash finish.along with some splatters of wall paint. Antique Crystal Prism Flowers from Italian Sconces for Chandelier Repair 3 1/8"
For your consideration is this set of four matching antique 3 1/8" flowers made from crystal prisms that came off of an old pair of Italian sconces. They are tied together with wire and wire does feel secure on all of them. Each teardrop prism is 1 1/2" long. There are some tiny flea bites and a few light scratches on the surfaces of the crystals. There is one crystal that has a 1mm chip on one of the lower facets. Each one of the flowers has four crystals face up and one face down. So it must have been part of their design. The flowers are not quite as bright as the photos appear. Up for consideration is a fine pair of large vintage French 3 arm Wall sconces. They measure with the light bulb and crystal swag it's 24 inches 11 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches deep. The sconces are externally wired in the French manner meaning the arms are not hollow and the cord runs along the back of the arms. At the bottom a new cord has been attached so that one can simply plug the sconces into a light socket. These can also be hard wired into the wall. We found these at an estate auction in Pennsylvania They came from a pharmacy in the area Originally these each had very nice glass globes that went over the candles Only 3 of them survived.
