Antique Moe-Bridges Silver-Plated Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier, Croydon NC1506
This a beautiful antique five-light Art Deco chandelier with original slip-in shades by Moe Bridges. Circa 1931, found in a house in downtown Nashville. Part of the Croydon series, this chandelier begins with a top finial that is ornamented with a leaf detail and swoops down to the body of the chandelier with polychrome crested bands. The silver plated body of the fixture features volute, foliate, and floral designs with silver column clusters between each slip shade. The original slipper shades display lattice work surrounding crested shields. The chandelier finishes with a complementary foliate embellished rounded base and a small acorn finial. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is in very good condition with no cracks ... moreor breaks, just the expected fleabite around the edges. Brass color, glass shades, and other accents make this an exceptional look It has a very striking look. A candelabra down light socket attached to the wonderful sculpted swooping style framework. This would look wonderful in a foyer or entrance hall. It measures 10 1/2" tall with out the shades. 12 1/2" tall with the shades, 13 3/8" wide without the shades, 15" wide with the shades, and 6 3/8" deep. Gorgeous Antique Five-Light Silver Plated Chandelier with Glass Accents NC1858
A stunning antique five-light chandelier. Dating from the 1930’s, retaining its silver-plated finish and glass accents. The chandelier begins with a simple canopy, coming down in a chain to a loop finial set inside a molded glass bowl hung with"icicle” prisms. Slender rods curl from the middle of the chandelier to support gorgeous prisms which surround the glass baluster body below. Five slender arms extend from the lower body to support scalloped glass bobeches; sparkling icicle prisms surround their perimeters. A faceted crystal ball finishes the fixture and suspends from beaded chain. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks.
