PAIR ANTIQUE OLD FRENCH SATIN FROST GLASS ART NOUVEAU PENDANT LAMPS CHANDELIERS
AN EXTRAORDINARY PAIR! We are pleased to offer this antique. Art Nouveau, Art Deco pair of pendant light chandeliers. This lovely pair feature ornate brass hardware and EXQUISITE French satin(not milk glass) white glass shades. The shades have a beautiful, tone on tone, white frosted design. The design features large, Neoclassical center medallions with Acanthus leaves and scrolling curves as accents. The shades have all the characteristics of antique Vianne glass. The glass has the Vianne"three dimesional" appearance with a soft, almost brushed feel. The glass is also gold gilded in Vianne fashion. The brass hardware includes a top"crown" in piereced brass and long, fluted stems which lead to the top ornate finial. The bottom brass finial is also nicely sized and is finished with an Acanthus bud/acorn. These are exceptional ... morefixtures! They are in very good, antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, etc to the glass. One of the shades has more fading on the gilded rings than the other, but it is not too noticeable. The brass has an aged patina which is lovely. The original ceiling mounts and canopies are included. One of the canopies has some ceiling paint which can be cleaned. The fixtures have ceramic sockets and the wiring has been updated and is in good working condition. The fixtures are ready for hanging! This is a hanging pendant lamp with approximately 15' of chain and cord that plugs into a 110v wall socket. It is turned on from a pull chain from the bottom of the lamp. This is a Pair of High Quality Mission Style Pendant lights from the early electric days. They have Great Patina and very cool granit back kokomo glass set in a heavy lead channel. This auction is for a LOT OF 4 USED MERCO 600-R STAINLESS PENDANT RESTAURANT HANGING HEAT LAMPS. These lamps are in good condition and have been tested and do work. I aquired these at auction and wiped them down. But they could use some more cleaning and a couple do have some small dings in them, and one of the plastic track connectors has a crack in it. These lamps were hung using track lighting hardware. This hardware can be removed and the lights can be hung stationary. The lights each pull down to approx. 60" in length. They do still recoil when pushed back up, but need more help than when they were new. Each light has its own on/off toggle switch. The stainless steel hood measures approx. 8" long and tapers from approx. 6" dia. at the opening to approx. 4" dia at the top. Handmade and similar.but not identical. Beautifully made with an unbeatable chamotte surface! In description of the two please reference photo#1.The lamp closest in frame measures appx. 13" tall x 11 1/4" round.this lamp has more squared edges with warm beige and chocolate brown coloring, probably 1 1/2 shades darker on its body that its partner. Most of the body is unglazed except for the contrasting band.a beautiful medium gloss chocolate brown pierced decoration with 7/1" circles.GREAT! The other lamp very similar. measures appx. 12 1/2" tall x 10 5/8 round.its edges are more rounded. Appx. 11' of chain and gold cord for both.one ... morehas thicker brass chain.the other smaller brass chain. One has an inline switch on the chain. In excellent vintage condition.with very minor wear.difficult to distinguish with the heavily grogged surface. Lamps were distributed in the states first by Heifetz and probably once they picked up in popularity they were distributed by other companies as well. An entry in the Visual Arts Data Service lists John& Sylvia Reid as the designers of the table lamp in 1958. I believe the hanging lamp is an earlier design. The lamps are a spun acetate in clear orange and opaque white. Lamps measure 13 1/2" tall, they are 8" in diameter at the bottom and taper down to 2" in diameter at the top. The third is missing. Naturally aged and patina to copper. White porcelain reflectors hinged and T-nut fixed to main copper body. Here is a stunning pair of 1950s ceramic pendant lamps acquired from the original owner. Previously these were installed in an beautiful ranch style Orlando home built in 1957 above a his and her bedroom set. Personally. I've never seen a set like this done in a high quality ceramic before. Lamps are without a maker's mark. They are made from a white ceramic and feature approx. 25 hole cut outs of varying size.from 1/4 of an inch all the way to an inch. When lit. They cast an enchanting light and shadow play on the near walls. This feature can be brightened or dimmed according to the bulb wattage and by placing the lamps on a dimmer. I saw them on in the original house and it was quite striking. almost an art piece unto itself. Condition overall is excellent with no chips or cracks. There are a few light scuffs and scratches as seen ... morein the detailed photos. The largest is approx. 2 inches near the bottom rim. I imagine many of these can be removed with enough cleaning and elbow grease. We only gave the lamps a light cleaning. They come with the original 1950s hardware including the ceiling plate and screw caps to hold everything together. All hardware is in excellent condition as well. The cords are made of a thicker type white rubber casing and are likewise in excellent shape. No cuts or rips. The set would make a wonderful lighting addition to a retro styled bedroom. Office or even a small side living area. No matter where they are placed they are sure to be commented on and admired for years to come. Offering this lovely pair of mid century Hollywood Regency style hanging swag pendant lamps. Each lamp is in excellent condition with only minor tarnishing on the brass fixtures as pictured. The Italian art glass is clear opalescent/iridescent covered in a spattering of overshot glass which glows in a soft rainbow of color. The chains measure 9 1/2" to the roller on/off switch and 5 1/2' of chain beyond that with a 1/2" of cord to the plug. No chips or cracks. Fixture pieces and cords have dulled or yellowed with age. One has some paint that can be easily removed. Here are two(2) gorgeous. Vintage frosted(white) glass shades meant to be used in hanging, pendant style swag ceiling lamps. Fixtures not included- this sale is for the glass shades only) See pictures for dimensions. Shades are in great condition. The design is meant to resemble draped fabric. Only the shades themselves are made of thick, white frosted glass. Lit up, they will be striking. Although I have no info on these shades in particular. I did find the identical design attributed to L&L(Loevsky& Loevsky) a manufacturer of many kinds of decorative glass items. I would guess them to be from the 1950s or early1960s. Mid-Century Modern era, although they could be an earlier throwback to Victorian revival looks of the 1920s and 1930s, or a later Hollywood Regency look from the 70s. Description A beautiful pair of restored English made Holophane pendant lamps dating from around 1930ish. Both lamps are in complete condition with the original rim bracket. Original domed glass diffusers, brass fixings and hooks. The cast steel tops and the fluted Blue shades are both stamped'HOLOPHANE' I have seen an identical lamp with a chrome plated top(no diffuser) but these appear to originally have some sort of early industrial power type coating(along with several coats of other paint) so maybe they had a commercial use. The chain that's supplied is modern. All the steel has been stripped of the many old layers of paint and varnish and re polished but will soon tarnish. They have been rewired recently with 2 core Black braided cable into the original porcelain fitting but will require installation by a qualified electrician(as ... morewith any vintage lighting) The fitting is an e27. This hanging light fixture is from Spain and that signature is stamped in the part that is by the ceiling and this is shown in the picture. Otherwise this lamp is in great condition and is very beautiful. From the ceiling to the bottom where the chain is hooked to the lamp it measures about 16 inches. Self right at 12 inches tall and when you measure the diameter greatest part to the other side. Which is extremely hard to do, it is approximately 8 inches maybe. It can also sit on an outside table, its base is enclosed and acts like its own stand. Really cool design. The cord is several feet long and is sound, and has a long gold tone chain that it hangs from. The lamp iself stands 6 1/2" high and 5" D at the bottom. These are great in groups as well, or upcycled into other configurations. They just don't make them like this anymore, so retro cool! It would be great on a Patio, at the RV park, to jazz up your campsite when camping, pretty portable and durable. Very nice shape for age. Awesome Vintage Kitsch! And they were not new when we purchased them,so I don't know the exact age,but I suspect they are from the 1960's?Overall they are in very good condition,there is some tarnish on a silver trim part that is on top of the base. I could not find any damage or chips,but there might be very small unnoticable flea bites on the pendants.The shades are in good condition,could use a little cleaning.
