The real deal! Measure approx. 15" in length and 9" in height. Last Pair! This pair is being sold AS IS! I am calling this pair in fair condition. One is missing the small screw cap on the mounting plate. Both have wear to them with some finish loss/scuffs/scratches. Both also have a darkened area where it looks like a heat burn. There is no burn spots on either one on the insides. So maybe just the hot sun coming through a window or something. You may want to just restore them. They are usable as found, but again I am calling them in fair condition. Photos are difficult on reflective items so please don't hesitate to request additional. They are a little heavier type of brass/gold plating material and not the really thin aluminum that you typically see in a cone wall sconce and are rounded on the edges. They are currently in good working condition. Wiring should always be examined prior to installation. Both ends of the cones will take a standard bulb and light up. And have punctured holes that light will shine through. Please remember they are a vintage set and over 50 years old! Will require a little more clean up/polishing or maybe restoration. Vintage antique HICKLEY Lighting PAIR wall mount fixtures brass no glass
Offered is a pair of brass wall mount light fixtrues from the Hickley Lighting Co. Original mounting hardware is included. Wiring is still there but I do not know if it is still good. The glass that was originally in the fixtures is missing. The last picture shows what the original glass looked like and what the complete fixture looks like. They still make glass that looks almost identical to the original glass and can be found at a stained glass supply store. Each fixture takes 1 pane of glass 6" X 4 3/4" and 3 panes 7 1/4" X 4 3/4" They are held in place by attached clips. 1 fixture has 3 small areas where the brass was polished a little. On one fixture the backplate is bent a little. The fixtures are in nice condition but tarnished. May have some minor scratches but no dents. Earlier on eBay I sold some complete fixtures ... morebut these 2 are the last I have. They came off a building that was built around 1930 and was being remodeled about 10 years ago and have been in storage since. Lovely Vintage Ceiling or Wall 2~bulb Lighting Fixtures Matched Pair They measure approx 12" X 7" and approx 2-1/2" high to the socket and 4" high to the tip of the Ornate Metal Centerpiece. There is a very small chip on the outside of one of the sockets. I show this in my pictures otherwise there is no damage, no nicks or chips to the fixtures. I also show the wiring of which I do not know if they work. I always have my old fixtures re-wired with modern up to code wiring by my electrician. The fixtures are a dark Ivory to a slight Golden Color. Note there is some of the Gold detailing slightly worn on one fixture due to natural wear but does not take away from the beauty. Pair of antique wall sconces Wooden(presumably pine) Wrought iron candle holder; stamped BS8840. Description revised to add dimensions: 16"T. 7"L, 3.25"W. Please review the photos as they are the primary description for these sconces. My grandfather had them hanging in his shop for at least 35 years and I know they were given to him by my great grandfather. I have tried to research the style. Wood and stamp. My best assumption based on their primitive design with stamp is early to mid 1800's although I cannot guarantee this. Antique Pair Gothic Spanish Revival Wall Sconce Salvaged Lighting
For your consideration we are so very delighted to make available this truly unique pair of Antique/Vintage wall sconces. Each sconce has been meticulously crafted entirely by hand from metal with an old world rustic look and feel. Each sconce has an elaborate filigree mesh or lattice if you will. Used to safeguard what would have been the flame or torch in primordial times. Much like what might be found in an old European Castles or even Saint Augustine Florida. The pair are quite lovely in deed. Please see photo's) They each appear to retain their original black painted finish with a wonderful age related rust coming through. The pair are uncleaned and are being sold in an as found used condition. The pair will make an excellent addition to any Spanish revival decor or the likes there of. The woman that originally sold us the pair stated ... morethat they had been rescued by her husband or salvaged from the demolition of a now defunct restaurant in eastern Long Island, New York. The restaurant formally named" Rene's" was a kind of tourist destination restaurant/catering hall on the Montauk Highway just east of West Hampton Beach or Quogue- all is hear say and because it was so very long ago would be difficult to confirm? Either way The pair measure approximately 27" high with the ornate lattice backer plate having a width of approx. 10" when hung they protrude approx. 13" all tolled the pair are being sold in an as found used Antique rustic condition with much age related wear and patina. Each are covered in what appears to be a flaky original black painted finish and do show much signs of surface rust coming through- The pair could facilitate a restoration or wiring and can be utilized electrically but at this time there are no wire switches or the like and appear to have never been used in this manner they are entirely decorative.
