Lots of detail and very good clarity to the design. This bracket has not been repainted. This bracket came out of a house over 125 years old here in East Texas. This is such an incredible and unusual. Decorative piece.Dating to at least the Victorian era.late 19th century Aesthetic Movement. This rustic hand wrought iron scroll work decorative American piece featuring a large encased horn, most likely a bull horn was a holder for an oil lamp.This piece has incredible attention to detail and impressive workmanship, the iron work is just amazing.please view all photos! Piece measures approximately 19 5/8" tall overall to the top of the iron basket.The base is about 12 1/2" wide between the two scrolled floral elements. And about the same distance between the tip of the horn and the floral iron"feet" Condition is very good with wear expected and commensurate with antique pieces.There are remnants of old chippy paint. 1880S ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FANCY ART NOUVEAU OIL-LAMP SCONCE CAST IRON WALL HOLDER with COPPER-COLOR FINISH on surfaces and with ORNATE FLEUR-DE-LIS. LILY, SCROLL DESIGNS IN DEEP INSET& RAISED RELIEF. Really fancy& lovely ornate raised relief designs of a Fleur-de-lis design at center. Many curled scrolls and vines(see pics) geometric designs, and flowers and lilies abound-all in raised& deep inset relief, there are also inset striated ray design on background with a hammered surface finish on background as well-it is very elaborate(see pics provided and close-ups) There is a copper color finish on surfaces of cast iron which makes it additionally pretty. I believe this was at one time a'Double' sconce holder-it has at one time I believe 2 round oil-lamp cast iron holders-it now has only one-please view pics of this feature ... moreprovided. Antique Glass Hurricane Mercury? Reflector Oil Lamp with Metal Holder Wall Mount
This is an antique oil lamp with a glass hurricane complete with a metal wall mount mercury-type reflector holder. This item belonged to my grandmother who passed away many years ago. My mom inherited it and the holder was painted red to match the decor in a family room where it has remained for over 50 years. We are in the process of combining two households and can't keep it all. The lamp is in great shape with a long wick. Glass hurricane globe is perfect. The oil holder is actually clear but shows red from the oil that was in it. Some nicks/chips in paint on metal wall mount and some age related pitting to reflector. They have a great Art Nouveau look and each holds two fonts on the iron circular holders. they each measure 18 inches long by 9 1/2 inches wide and sits 6 1/2 inches from the wall. they are in nice antique condition. Measures about 13-1/2" from wall to outer edge of holder. The flat portion of the inset in the holder(round part) measures a little over 4-3/4" and tapers out a bit further. It has some wear. Some surface rust, and what looks like a very tight stress crack on a small portion of the holder. It works beautifully, swinging from side to side with a hand made wall bracket that will be included. Very ornate Victorian cast iron double oil lamp holder and bracket. I am sure this was once black and has been painted blue but easy to paint it back to black. This would hold two different sizes of oil lamps. One is 4-3/4in across and the to the back is 4in across. I have seen a lot of the ones that hold one lamp but a double is hard to find.

I have an old wrought iron oil lamp holder that hangs on the wall- it holds two lamps. Do not have the part that attaches to the wall that holds the item. Very nice designs- see pictures. In good condition- needs a gentle cleaning. On the holders- there are two sections on each that are larger along the edge- some of the center areas on the edge are a little rough- not sure if someone tried to make those sections cut out or if it was made that way. Total length of about 14 1/2" and about 8 1/2" total height. The holder that would be closest to the wall is just under 5 1/4" across and the other holder is 5 3/4" across- both measurements are from edge to edge.
