It originally had a central oil lamp with a ring of 9 candles around the perimeter. The oil lamp is now converted to hold an electric bulb. The bronzework on this chandelier is superb. With massive construction and fine Louis XVI styling and details. It is nicely patinated to a medium bronze color and we did not attempt any restoration or polishing. This is a counterweighted chandelier that can be easily adjusted up and down. However, the adjustment chains are short and not much adjustment is presently available(replacing the chains would solve this if additional height adjustment is desired) The wiring and socket are old and in poor condition and must be replaced before use. This is a gorgeous gone with the wind style hanging chandelier light or lamp with red glass. It resembles fenton type glass lamps I have seen. But I could not locate a marking. There are no chips in the glass, also includes tons of hanging crystals. This light is quite large, 18 inches tall, 13 inches wide for the glass, and 18 inches wide including the outcroppings the insert sets on. We purchased for our house- then never used. antique Bulpitt 1916 iron porcelain brass ceiling oil lamp lantern chandelier
This is a very rare antique Bulpitt 1916 ceiling oil burning fixture. it is made from iron. Brass and porcelain and has a wonderful patina from age. the removable burner has lockable notches and knobs to hold it into place and a key to adjust the flame on the side which hangs on a chain. there is also a place on one of the two arms that the key can be held. I forgot to show a photo of it but you can see the spot for it. right above the burner is the exhaust which releases heat out of the top. around the chimney is a large piece of white porcelain. the top opens on a brass hinge and locks shut at an ornate brass hinge. Which has a removable pin held by a chain. it has nicely wrought iron chain which is held by a large cast iron hook at the top of the fixture. it has normal ware from age and works great. Hello. This is a beautiful antique Victorian gone with the wind hanging chandelier. It is hand painted with beautiful flowers and leaves on the glass shade and base. It is in excellent condition without chips. Cracks on the lamp a few of the crystals have tiny chips on the points. The oil cap is missing. This was working when removed from my aunts house. My uncle wired it in the 1950's. This was my grandparents from the early 1900. Please look at all the pictures as they best describe this lamp. Vintage Mid-Century Electrified Reproduction Oil Lamp Chandelier
Antique style oil kerosene hanging brass chandelier. The light fixture is a reproduction that was manufactured sometime during the late 1940s or early 1950s. The light fixture is weighted on one side so it balances out the weight on the side with the globe and chimney. There is an eagle on the weighted side. The obsolete cloth-covered wiring and socket has been replaced with UL approved electrical components produced in America. The lamp is solid brass and has a fantastic antique patina. The lamp measures about 40 inches from the bottom of the lamp to the canopy and is approximately 18 inches wide. The length could be shortened or made longer by adding or removing links from the chain. The actual fixture itself is roughly 18 inches wide and 18 inches tall. Charming Antique 19th Century Oil Lamp Chandelier NC1836
This is a superb antique cast iron oil lamp chandelier dating from 1870. Now wired for electricity. The chandelier begins with a beautifully cast canopy which comes down in three pairs of chains to affix to the lower chandelier body. Capping the body is a milk glass dome; the cast iron framework below features a curvilinear motif with twisted detailing and leafy flourishes. A molded glass bowl perches within the framework and supports the fixture's single light; the bowl has been stamped"1870. The light fixture has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier is 14-1/8” wide, 21-1/2” tall and the overall length is 36.
