This pair of 1920s Mission Arts& Crafts porch sconces are made of rolled sheet. Wire, and cast metal with brass hinges& top locking ballhead screw. They have been restored to the original black. The six slumped amber pebble glass panes are new& are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Each porch sconce measures 12 3/4” tall, 10 1/2” wide& extend 5” from the wall. They open to change the light bulb by unscrewing the small ballhead screw near the top, and then pulling the shade frame down with its hinges. The bottom brass hinges are new. This offering is for an antique to older vintage 3 light wall sconce lamp. This beautiful fixture. In the Art and Crafts Mission fashion has a very strong Spanish influence. The sconce is a combination of ornate wrought iron and wood. The sconce features a 3 light design with each light having a large, hand blown glass shade. The shades are tall and free form with numerous folds. The glass is crackle with deep and rough texture. The wood is gorgeous with a notched cut pattern. Each light sconce is enhanced with a connecting chain below each sconce. The fixture is old with each light having an individual on/off switch. The wiring is good and the lamp/sconce is working, but the lamp could use a central on/off switch as it is difficult to turn the sconce on when the shades are in place. They are kind of grimey and need to be rewired. One of the wiring covers on the back is marked Pauling. Yet is to small for us to capture its image in our photos. We do not see any damage or repairs. They measure 11 inches tall and 4.25 inches at the widest part.

Very beautiful antique light fixture. This is an outdoor wall sconce that would work great on a cottage or by a porch door. Originally from a lake home built at the turn of the century. The light is of cast metal, bronze and copper(the top is copper, other parts seem to be covered is some brass or a mix of brass, bronze and cast metal) The best part of this light is the cylinder shaped amber crackle glass shade, you don't often see these with an undamaged shade. It looks beautiful when turned on. It has been rewired(outdoor wiring and socket) and can take a 100 watt bulb it desired. Will have the mounting hardware included with a new brass finial holding the threaded rod in back. The finial on the bottom has a small hole drilled into it and a tiny wire holds it to the base of the lamp. pictured) You have to look for this to see it. A few screws have been replaced to hold the base to the top, they are brass but will darken in time(pictured) There is a screw head that is broken off that holds the copper top to the cast metal middle, there are other screws holding it down so this is not an issue(pictured) There are some very small paint dots on the copper top(pictured) In the last photo you can see the part that holds the base to the back tends to wiggle back and forth- it won't come loose and almost needs to be this way to fit the top onto the base(it needs a bit of wiggle room) but once it's all put together it doesn't move at all because of the way the top and bottom attach to each other. It needs to be assembled carefully since the metal top has to be screwed to the base over the cylinder shade- takes a bit of time and patience but well worth the effort. Wow. These are nice! It's really hard to find a pair of square fixtures like this, much less with the slag glass shades! Great pair of brass wall sconces, from the height of the arts and crafts movement- also great in a Mission style or even a Deco setting. The slag glass shades are particularly beautiful when the lights are turned on. Both lights retain original turnkey sockets. One has been rewired, the other still has cloth wiring, both work great. These are very usable but at their age they have some flaws- there is some paint on each as you can see in the photos that you could easily remove. No paint on the shades. They have a wonderful patina. The shades are definitely arts and crafts- they appear to have been hand made, one ring is slightly smaller on top than the other(4th picture from last) and this ring had loose welds so had ... moreto be secured better with epoxy(3rd pic from last) It is very tight now and not an issue. There is a bit of looseness in one fixture"stem" that holds the socket and shade, this should tighten up when the fixture is installed and the mounting hardware is installed in the wall. The"stem" still holds the shade with no issues, as you can see in the photos(I tried to photograph this part 5th photo from the end) 10.5" tall, 7.5" from the wall when installed, and the back plate is 4.5" across. We are pleased to offer this EXTREMELY NICE AND VERY OLD. Wall candelabra candle holder. This sconce is an exceptional example of Arts and Crafts, Spanish Mission style. This antique sconce is beautifully hand crafted and constructed. It features ornately curved/scrolled wrought iron on the top, the bottom finial, and under each candle holder cup. The candle holders are attached to a large metal plate. The plate attaches to a large(antique) wooden beam. The piece is old and there are no screws used, everything is attached to the wood with nails. The 5 candle cups are very nicely designed with gothic/mission"spade" pattern. They are large and will hold a 4" pillar candle. There are 3 twisted iron rods that attach to the wood and then come together at the top. On our travels some years ago we happened upon this estate sale in the Oakland CA area. It was a lovely old arts and crafts home. And usually, where there is an craftsman home, there are unique and nice items in it. It was late in the day and the estate had pretty much been picked over, but out of the corner of my eye I noticed this wonderful sconce on the wall in the living room. I asked the agent"Is this for sale? and up until then had considered it a'fixture' that was to be sold w/ the property, like lighting and such, but when showed her how it simply was hung on a nail and was easily removed, she was sold on the idea is was simply a decorative piece and therefore'could' be sold. So, we got it. It is pretty safe to say the item is vintage, but we are not sure if it is antique. The wall plate is kind of primitive, rough, not a'refined' as the turned candle holder piece. There is a little hook on the wall plate, I would assume that might have been for a snuffer, no missing. The piece you put the candle in looks charred, as when the candle got so low the flame torched it. The candle holder piece is actually removable, so you can, if you should be brave enough to, remove it while the candle is lit and walk with it, like medieval times, walking through your castle w/ a lit flame. Arts and Crafts Mission Neo Gothic Sconce
A classic example of this style. 9 3/4" high, extends about 5 3/8" from the wall and is 4 1/8" at its widest point. It appears to be made of copper, but I haven't polished it as some prefer their fixtures to retain a nice patina. It is a little bent in places which might look good if someone is going for a shabby look and has some paint on it. One of the panes of glass is broken and it should be rewired before it is used. Rare Antique Arts& Crafts Copper Wall Mailbox Lamp Sconce Craftsman Mission Highly unusal. 1920's era mailbox/exterior light combo that still has its original newspaper holder on the bottom. Patent date of Feb 1st 1927 stamped under the roof lid. This fixture features solid copper construction. With white and amber slag glass panels. There is a hinged door on the side to retrieve your mail and gain access to the light bulb. The roof of the fixture lifts up to reveal the mail slot, which also keeps the rain out. Fabulous detailing throughout, like the curled roof edge, the faux roof vent, and the nifty wire"cages" over the amber glass sections. This nice original vintage arts& crafts or mission style fixture and shade dates from the early 1900's. All brass fixture with square canopy and the unusual 2-piece square 2 1/4 in. shade holder. Also has the brass diamond"eyes" Vintage key-less socket. Removable leaded shade is the classic"pagoda" style with 32 pieces of vintage slag glass. Mainly a nice caramel slag with an upper band of reddish-purple and a lower band of green with a central ruby red triangle. Fixture is in as found nice working used condition. Has new 2-strand brown cloth wire. Brass has an aged patina. Glass pieces are all good with no broken pieces. Leading tight and solid. What's extra nice about this fixture is it can be used as a drop or a wall sconce! Measures as a drop approx. 17 1/2 in. long overall. MISSION ELECTRIC COPPER WALL SCONCE
This is a great copper mission wall sconce. The patina is excellent. The shade has dark amber highly textured glass. The texture is facing outward. The shade itself is a 5" x 5" square. Each side of the shade is 5" x 5 1/2" The top is a 6 3/4" square. The backplate is 5" x 14 1/2" There is some separation on the corners. The sconce extends 6" from the wall. VTG MISSION ARTS & CRAFTS STICKLEY ERA COPPER PORCH sconce LIGHT for RESTORATION
Here for your consideration is a strange but beautifully styled and interestingly detailed vintage Stickley era copper Mission. Arts and Crafts outdoor porch sconce lamp that dates back to the 1920's. It was formed in the shape of a stylized flower and has a fairytale quality to it. The item is 10" tall and the outmost part of the rim is 8" from the wall. The 4 1/2" diameter round backing plate has a 3/8" diameter hole for mounting it to a shallow wall box or stub from the wall(neither are included) I did not test the socket. Being sold as is.The little dents in the thin ruffled edge of the shade can be forced back into place easily as that part of the shade is quite thin. This item could be improved dramatically by a scraping and re painting. Please note:This fixture once had a protective shade for the bulb. Inside ... morethe thin punctured sleeve there are tabs the glass slid into and there is one tab that on the bottom edge that would be bent up to hold the glass up. An exactly 4" diameter glass piece would fit into it or one could bend flexible plastic or layers of mylar in that shape or have it without that protection if it is used indoors or on a deep porch.
