And with accents of jade and red. The colors are artfully blended(see images) and the effect is, well, stunning. It’s also nice ... morethat the pair retains thier original finials(and what finials they are! and canopies(wow. Too! While the chandeliers are in the Spanish-Revival style. You can also note subtle 1930s Deco influences. Kinda cool. Please also note the new cloth wiring. This set is ideal of course for a Spanish-Revival home. But they would as well in an Art- Crafts style home. Wholly restored and with new wiring. This pair is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: Sadly. The period-correct, hand-painted bulbs are not included. Happily, I will let you know where to get them. The fixtures accept standard base 60W bulbs. COLOR: See above. SIZE: The fixture hangs down 26-1/2-inches and are 17-1/2-inches wide. I can remove up to 6-inches of chain. I can add chain. CONDITION: I love writing this: there’s no damage. The sockets are original(and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators. The original chain was corroded(this is common) The new chain precisely matches the original in terms of scale and shape. PAIR of amazingly beautiful vintage. Wrought iron Spanish Revival style hanging lights! Has the very Rare RED Slag glass panels! These lights measure 32" in height. And 10" diameter. They are in original and very good condition. On one light, all of the glass panels are in perfect condition, and on the other light, two of the glass panels have been repaired, but it is very hard to see where the two glass panels have been repaired. They mount to the ceiling. And have the ceiling mounting brackets, and canopy. Will work either for indoor, or outdoor lights. Wiring is in good condition on both lamps. See the second picture. Antique Pair Gothic Spanish Revival Wall Sconce Salvaged Lighting
For your consideration we are so very delighted to make available this truly unique pair of Antique/Vintage wall sconces. Each sconce has been meticulously crafted entirely by hand from metal with an old world rustic look and feel. Each sconce has an elaborate filigree mesh or lattice if you will. Used to safeguard what would have been the flame or torch in primordial times. Much like what might be found in an old European Castles or even Saint Augustine Florida. The pair are quite lovely in deed. Please see photo's) They each appear to retain their original black painted finish with a wonderful age related rust coming through. The pair are uncleaned and are being sold in an as found used condition. The pair will make an excellent addition to any Spanish revival decor or the likes there of. The woman that originally sold us the pair stated ... morethat they had been rescued by her husband or salvaged from the demolition of a now defunct restaurant in eastern Long Island, New York. The restaurant formally named" Rene's" was a kind of tourist destination restaurant/catering hall on the Montauk Highway just east of West Hampton Beach or Quogue- all is hear say and because it was so very long ago would be difficult to confirm? Either way The pair measure approximately 27" high with the ornate lattice backer plate having a width of approx. 10" when hung they protrude approx. 13" all tolled the pair are being sold in an as found used Antique rustic condition with much age related wear and patina. Each are covered in what appears to be a flaky original black painted finish and do show much signs of surface rust coming through- The pair could facilitate a restoration or wiring and can be utilized electrically but at this time there are no wire switches or the like and appear to have never been used in this manner they are entirely decorative.
