The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. Hollywood Regency / Art Deco Black & Silver Chandelier Vintage Lighting Fixture
We recently went to an auction that had great 1880s-1930s lighting fixtures. Lamps, etc. We know that some of them came from west central Ohio homes that were built during Ohio's railroad boom(most people don't think of Midwest railroad barons, but we had'em) We'll be listing these over the next couple of weeks. This black and silver chandelier is Hollywood Regency by way of Art Deco. It's footprint isn't large. So it won't overwhelm a room, but it will be a focal point. The fixture's about 12" in diameter. It hangs down about 27. Great size for dining areas. Living rooms, salons. The chain has a lovely symmetrical/asymmetrical interlude of flowers within an oval. Please see the pictures. You can use this set in the same way, or perhaps in your newly renovated kitchen! Please note the beautifully detailed leaves which the glass drops hang from. And the delicate blue flowers. Soooooo pretty and sweet! What’s also so nice about this set is how original they are. They retain their original canopies. Socket rings, and glass drops. Only the center, bottom drops are replacements, and these are a perfect match and also vintage. ABOUT THE RESTORATION SCHEDULE: This set is not yet restored. This will take up to two weeks after payment is received. ABOUT THE LENGTHS: The chandelier is now 39-1/2 inches long. I can remove up to 18-inches of chain. I can also add chain. The down-bulb fixture is 21-1/2-inches long(including bulb) It cannot be shorter but I can add chain. ABOUT THE FINISH: The set is. As mentioned, not yet restored. So, the silver-plate is now rich with patina. I can leave it this way(I think the patina is attractive) or I can polish the silver for a really dazzling effect.
