It has a beautiful green color compliment with black striping along with beautiful-highly detailed clear glass. Check out the clear glass marble around the border. All components are in excellent condition and are from the mid century era. This light was inspired by the mopar muscle car line of the late 60's and early 70's with their over the top bold colors. It has both a masculine as well as a femine look to it. And it compliments past. Present, and future decor. Not many lights can make this kind of statement. I may never create another one like this in my life time. Most sellers hide the fact that they have recreated a light. I am very proud that this is a custom one of a kind creation. The shade measures about 15 1/2 inches in diameter and is aluminum which is in wonderful condition. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted as is also from the same era as the glass crystal stem. The socket housing is vintage but has been repainted. There is a new three socket assembly pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. As you can see in the second image(from a 1940s Virden catalog) The fixture is wonderfully original– it even retains its highly distinctive jadite color paint! ABOUT THE 1940s: Just after WW II. ... moreAnd before, say, the mid-1950s, there’s a particular era of design that I have a great fondness for. This era, as yet, has no name. People just tend to lump it into the Mid-Century Modern category. However, a study of lights of this era reveals a very particular aesthetic. I can only assume that the men and women who created magnificent pre-war lighting fixtures were still around after the war. Imbedded within their experience was an artistic ability and color sense that was soon to vanish. What I find so attractive about this Era-That-Has-No-Name is the fascinating combination of the past and future. The future is represented by the basic design of 1940s fixtures; they don’t really look like pre-war fixtures. The past is rich colors and lush details. By the latter 1950s the past was extinct as the Atomic Age ushered in a mania for The New and simplicity reined. Houses from the 1940s are also very different than those from the 1950s. The fixture itself is a vivid oh-so-70s green. I love it! This type fixture was most often used over a kitchen table. I am old enough– sigh– to remember. The fixture is 31-1/2-inches long. I can remove up to 17-inches of chain. The fixture is an impressive 21-wide. This fixture is ready to hang. And comes with all the mounting hardware needed! SUPER ART DECO JADEITE GREEN SHADE 3 CHAIN CEILING LIGHT VTG DIAMOND F LIGHTING
You are offered this 70-90 year old light fixture. It is a beautiful jadite. Fired on green color. The shade has a squiggle texture with border design. It is in excellent condition. The ceiling mount that holds the chain was painted off white at some point in its lifetime. It works. Has been newly resotred/ rewired. The shade is 9 1/4“ across. It has a tiny tiny chip on inside, shows white in lighted pic. There is an old label, that fell off, and have put tape on it. It has a Diamond F logo on it. I’m very pleased to offer this rare and exquisite 1920s green glass petite ceiling fixture! The glass was made in Germany; the fixture was manufactured by Arthur Harrison of Chicago. Although petite. The fixture has a strong visual presence. Scale-wise. The fixture is ideal for a small space, like a ... morehall or powder room. The fixture is 3-inches high(without bulb) and 6-inches wide. The ceiling base is 5-wide. Wholly restored and with new wiring. This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: The fixture accepts one standard base 60W bulb(not included) The upper edge of the ceiling mount has a small brass button covering a pull-chain option. COLOR: Brass. Green. The socket ring is silver. SIZE: See above. CONDITION: The only issue are some stress cracks to the upper side of brass ceiling mount. The socket is original(and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulator. The brass ceiling mount has a few age spots. These will polish out but I left the mount alone with its subtle patina. Vintage Lighting Mid Century Kitchen Light with Vegetables JADEITE Green
Here is a nice ceiling fan for the home. It measures 11 by 11 inches. It's in great shape for it's age. I believe Sears sold this. There is no center piece for hanging, I'm sure you can pick up one at Home Depot or even Ace Hardware. There is a slight chip or a tiny rough spot on one side, when hanging you have to look pretty hard to find it. I tried in the last picture to photograph it but it didn't really show up.
