The fitter looks to be made of heavy cast metal. ... moreNot sure what kind. It has a beautiful ornate design on it. The original GE tag is still attached and is labeled"Novalux" All three screws are still in holding the shade in. In the picture with the tag, you can also see the GE logo in the glass. The opening at the base measures 3-5/8" That is from inside to inside. The large shade is two pieces. The glass has a very nice textured design. There is a bottom and top part. Each with a different design. I am not sure how they are attached, but they are not loose. I have been told that the finial screws in at the top and secures the two pieces together. There are three holes in the top piece that looks like screws are supposed to go in, although I am not sure. The glass looks to be in good condition. I can find no chips or cracks. The finial is on top. This measures approximately 30" from bottom of the fixture to tip of the finial. The shade is approximately 13" across in the largest section and 9" around the fitter lip. It appears that the original industrial/commercial socket is in the fixture. Although I have not taken it apart. It should probably be rewired. This will be disassembled for shipping. Plenty of bubble wrap will be used for each piece. This is very heavy. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I do accept offers and will consider any given.

An amazing fixture globe from 1911-1912. This is a globe and globe hardware only auction. The fixture is nowhere to be found. This from early in the electric light era. Very rare. Hardware is a clamshell type hinge. I have found these on other sites(full fixtures) for $2250.00. I didn't find any cracks or breaks in the globe. The only chips are tiny and will be covered by metal hardware. These chips are most likely part of the production process. There are two sets of clamshell hardware included. This is a 1940's Ceiling Fixture by Globe that has a Frosted Glass Reverse painted Shade with Floral Design. Done with Beautiful Bright Colors. It has a Silver Plated metal top with Clear Lucite Scrolls on the top as well. The outside Rim is Pierced Brass. Measures aprox 8 1/2" tall. 16" diameter glass and 6 1/4" diameter base. Has the Original GLOBE Lighting Products Co Label. It is in Good Vintage condition with some minor scratches and scuffs all around. Some wear and tarnishing to the Silver plated top, no Breaks or Cracks to the Glass shade, some minor chipping around the hole where the bolt sits, but this is normal for all Vintage glass shades. The Clear Lucite Scrolls are still intact and they have no Breaks ... moreor Cracks. Please note that this is Very Old and I have done nothing to restore this piece. It is being sold AS FOUND. The wiring is very old and I did not test this at all for functionality. It will need to be Hard wired and for safety, I would have it rewired. If you have an older home.
