The reverse painted shades are hand painted and numbered. I think this shade style was made post WW1 and were produced into the 20's in the U.S. Checkoslovakia, and Germany. The flower pattern on the fixture matches the flower on the shades. The brass is very crisply embossed and detailed. They originally were made to fit on colored bulbs as seen in the last picture. I use the common bulbs like the clear one in the middle-available anywhere. You can buy the colored bulbs online google Mazda. The LED bulbs work also but the fluorescents are too long. Purchased from a party who had several fixtures from a Mansion on the East Coast. This is a very rare style Antique Chandelier Balloon shape. It is perfect for a Nursery. Foyer, Dining area. It should be put somewhere that it can be admired. The chandelier is one that will not have a match. It is early 1900s, and looks as if it has been professionially rewires and works wonderfully as a light fixture should. The candleabra bulbs should be a flame style, but we only have the round ones. It would be even more beautiful with decorative bulbs. The body is meade of small glass beads and they are carefully held together with wire, and the prisms are crystall. The amber glass balls are all odd shaped, none perfectly round and with air bubbles in them. The candle covers are rough, and one is chipped at the bottom. They are fine, but may want to replace. ... moreThese are the white plastic cover over the sockets. There are four lights and one of the bobesches has a small crack that blends in with the design. It is pictured. It can be replaced, if desired. This style of bobesche is common. The frame is made of metal, and is an aged gold color. The chain is brass. I would have thought there would be a large prism in the center, could be added, but none came with the fixture.The body is 12 inches in width and 17 1/2 inches tall, the width is 12 1/2 inches and the total hang is 33 inches includes the crystals hanging. The shade measures 12 inches in diameter and will hang about 12 inches from the ceiling.perfect for those of us with lower ceilings who want to add a touch of Victorian class to our homes. The shade is frosted white with a clear jagged edge that really casts a sparkling light. The wheat pattern on the sides of the shade are well defined and indicative of the 1930's era. The crystals that dangle from the canopy are new and perfect. Again. All the antique glass featured on this light is in great condition. There are no chips or flakes, but there are some pin holes in the frosting and specks of old paint that proved difficult to remove. Vintage Hanging Light Chandelier Lantern with Crystals Small Petite 3 Lights
This is a small lantern style chandelier with crystals and strands. It has 3 candelabra size sockets and 6 sides. At the center of each side is a large French style crystal with the prism strands below it. The chandelier is brass with a fancy pattern and open framework at the top. The brass does not have a dark age patina. 10"W x 17"H to the lowest crystal and about 19"L chain and 24"L wire for hanging. The chain/wire can easily be shortened. No ceiling cover. It's in very good condition without any damage. It has new center wiring for safety and is in working order. There are no breaks and no missing crystals.
