VINTAGE CAST IRON PORCH LIGHT VERY NICE DETAIL
In this auction we have a vintage cast iron porch light fixture. Good condition. But as you can see in the pictures there is no paint left on the fixture. there is no damage to this item, but will need to be cleaned before painting. The light is 9 inches tall, and 4 1/2 inches wide. The fixture will sit approx. 6 inches out from the wall when mounted. There is very nice detail in the casting. Exact age unknown. We are told the more inclusions of bubbles in the glass the older the piece. This globe is loaded. Really a unique wonderful piece of glass. Hand painted but we think this was done in more recent times. We see the artisan had a few spots of paint outside the lines on the glass. Presented"as found" We see that this is slightly dirty and could use a careful cleaning. No chips or cracks but we do see some fleabites ... moreon the fitter flange. As the glass sits in the base this fixture measures approx. 8 1/2" tall. 4" fitter. The widest part of the glass measures approx. 7 1/4" diameter. The cast iron base measures approx. 6 3/4" diameter x 1 3/4" tall. It has some casting numbers. The glass attaches to the base with three set screws. The center to center mounting holes(base to ceiling) measure 3 1/2" diameter. Please look closely at the photos as the photos are integral to our description and is the best depiction of condition. There are no wires attached just the tube or wire way where the wires would go to the socket. There is no socket either just ... morethe two screws to hold the socket in place. The iron is quite rusty and the paint is flaking off so it needs to be refurbished and painted. Also missing is some type of shade not sure what it would have been but there are 4- twisted design arms with threads at the ends for the shade to fit to as shown in my pictures. This is a great old light and will look stunning when refinished. The measurements of this fixture are 14x13 x6 and has a mounting pipe that would go into a wall or post. VTG 20S ART DECO COPPER IRON MISSION PORCH LIGHT SCONCE FIXTURE & CYLINDAR SHADE
Very beautiful antique light fixture. This is an outdoor wall sconce that would work great on a cottage or by a porch door. Originally from a lake home built at the turn of the century. The light is of cast metal, bronze and copper(the top is copper, other parts seem to be covered is some brass or a mix of brass, bronze and cast metal) The best part of this light is the cylinder shaped amber crackle glass shade, you don't often see these with an undamaged shade. It looks beautiful when turned on. It has been rewired(outdoor wiring and socket) and can take a 100 watt bulb it desired. Will have the mounting hardware included with a new brass finial holding the threaded rod in back. This light has been repaired to be usable again, the socket has been epoxied to the base(pictured) there are a few places where the metal has been lightly sanded ... moreto see what color it was underneath(pictured) this would weather in time and turn dark again. The finial on the bottom has a small hole drilled into it and a tiny wire holds it to the base of the lamp. pictured) You have to look for this to see it. A few screws have been replaced to hold the base to the top, they are brass but will darken in time(pictured) There is a screw head that is broken off that holds the copper top to the cast metal middle, there are other screws holding it down so this is not an issue(pictured) There are some very small paint dots on the copper top(pictured) In the last photo you can see the part that holds the base to the back tends to wiggle back and forth- it won't come loose and almost needs to be this way to fit the top onto the base(it needs a bit of wiggle room) but once it's all put together it doesn't move at all because of the way the top and bottom attach to each other. It needs to be assembled carefully since the metal top has to be screwed to the base over the cylinder shade- takes a bit of time and patience but well worth the effort. This fixture has a great revival look. features removable slag glass panels. They were originally installed via 2 L-brackets. So that they could slide in. Now, the bottom brackets are still there, but the top brackets have eroded away, or they were possibly cut out so that the glass could be removed. This is all the original glass that came with the fixture. The only way I could figure out how to properly hold the glass in, was to use velcro on the top side. Believe it or not, it works pretty well! I took a photo showing the little velcro tabs. Obviously you could remove those tabs if you wanted to use a different method. The fixture is very old and vintage, and has a few areas that are weathered& have small splits(near the bottom finial part) The paint isn't in the best condition but has the weathered appeal. For your consideration is this stunning turn of the century Art Noveau hanging porch light. This fabulous light has Art Nouveau detailing and is made of heavy iron with a copper roof and canopy. The beautiful glass is original to the light and is gorgreous when lit or not. The total length of the light is 36" The chain and canopy measure 19" and the light is 17" tall including iron hoop on top and it is 11" across. The chain is handmade iron chain each link is over 4" long. It has been rewired, so it is ready to hang and enjoy. It has a new porcelain socket that takes a standard Edison base light bulb. One corner of the roof has a small split as shown in photo# 7, and there are some bumps and dents in the roof. Great condition. They are cast iron and tin construction. They both have 4 textured textures milk glass panels. The frame for the panels and the top are tin. The arm, finials and the back plate are cast iron. The top on one sconce is bent slightly. There are no visible breaks or cracks. The porcelain sockets look good but they will need to be rewired. They retain most of there original black paint, There is surface rust were the paint has chipped off. Overall they are in very good condition. This rather unusual arts and crafts porch light measures 10 ½” tall x 5” square(add 7 ½” for chain) and comes with 6 ½” long hand wrought hook having a round cast iron 2 ¾” diameter base. The hook can be attached to either wall or ceiling so the fixture can also be a sconce. The shade of multiple small pieces of textured amber and slag glass is in pretty good shape with some bends. Dirt and 2 or 3 cracks in the glass. It is of unusual design with intended spaces between the metal wrapped glass. Everything is in working condition. The tops are shaped as Witches Hats! The Globes are in great condition with no cracks or chips. The Lanterns measure 15" tall x 8" wide x 8" deep. These Lanterns were probably made during 2 great Wars, World War I and World War 2. The Globe is rough on the bottom from weather with bubbles and defects of older glass. There is also some darkening and chips on the lip of the globe. Base has been sandblasted and repainted has defects found in old cast iron fixtures. All new wiring Please view photos Globe is approximately 6 inches in diameter and 3 inch fitter. Up for auction is a cast iron hanging porch light. Made in the 20s to 30s right here in the good ole USA. Unique triangular design that really shouts Arts& Crafts style. This light is in great shape with no rust or pits anywhere.You see this fixture on occasion but missing canopy. Not so on this one as canopy is intact and in very good shape. Fixture was stripped down. Rewired, primed and sprayed with 2 coats high performance flat black. Original porcelain vintage lampholder was re-used and in great shape with no breaks. Mica inserts were cut and fitted in warm amber glow color and shows this fixture beautifully. Add this beauty to your collection or install for a warm and welcoming porch entrance. Great piece of American history not some piece of Chinese junk at Home Depot. Measurements: Lantern- 10 3/4" Overall drop w/ canopy- ... more13" Canopy- 5"x5"x5" triangle Base- 7 1/2"x 7 1/2" x7 1/2" triangle One thing to point out here is at some point the chain was shortened on this light probably to use in a lower ceiling. It is barely noticable on the light unless you look hard for it. Does not affect the light in any way but worth mentioning. Light was tested and works fine but have an electrician check it out before install. 60 watt bulb not included. Mounting hardware not included. An old heavy sconce probably from the 20s. Looks to have original black paint. No makers mark visible. Able to attach to wall by three or four screws. Presently 3 of the 4 depressions on the back side of the mounting circle have been drilled. Sticks out about 11.5 inch from wall. About 5.5 inch fitter with clear drain hole. Mounting circle plate is about 7 inch in diameter. One of the fitter screws is bent. At that position there is a hairline crack from fitter edge to hole where the fitter screw goes. Doesn't affect grip on screw. I only have the one.

I have added extra keywords in the title only because I have not been able to identify this light fixture. I believe it is a work of art and think someone else will love it too! Very heavy wrought iron frame with a brushed silver finish. Picture#18 shows paint loss and the iron underneath. Metal red cone shape hood is attached to the vertical arms that hold the glass shade. I do not see how you would remove the shade. The shade is badly broken and repaired. Maybe because there is no way to change the shade? It is broken around the top edge also. See picture#18. EARLY 1900'S CAST IRON PORCH LIGHT SCONCE ANTIQUE ORNATE VICTORIAN LAMP FIXTURE
For sale is an early 20th century cast iron porch light. It features and ornate back plate and arm. I believe it to all be original. The light itself is unmarked. The globe reads"P- Made In The USA. The cast iron has a beautiful patina and age to it. There is still some very slight remnants of the original paint visible, as well as some of the original cloth wiring. Up for auction is a 1920's- 30's Antique Gothic Cast Iron light fixture sconce. Light was completely stripped down. Primed and sprayed flat black. Fixture is 100% original. Porcelain lampholder was reused and rewired. Original white textured slag glass with no breaks or cracks cleaned up very nice. Base is cast iron and lantern is made out of sheet metal or tin. Antique Deco Moe Bridges Wall Sconce Porch Light Glass & Iron Arts & Crafts
Antique dating from the 1920's Moe Bridges Exterior Wall Sconce. Porch Light in its as found condition. The original glass shade on the inside is a heavy/ thick amber color textured crackle glass type. The metal parts of the fixture appear to be made of heavy wrought and cast iron which seems to have been painted green at some point in time and it is now mostly gone and peeling off. We have no idea if the sconce was originally painted green or if someone painted it in this color. The detail on the metal is just exquisite and it almost has an"Arts and Crafts" look. On the back of the long bracket that fits on the wall. It is marked"Moe Bridges" Close to the opening at the bottom. There are four metal screws that attach the vertical sections that hold the glass shade in place. These screws, will open up the metal vertical ... morebrackets that will help release the glass insert and clean it. We left the sconce in its as found condition and did not attempt to take the glass out because we are not sure as to how the whole thing can be cleaned and refinished. We are selling it in its as found condition for the new owner to get it cleaned and restored. Please note that the iron is rusty in a lot of areas and looks rough with partial green paint that makes it look dirty and old. Also. The glass shade would definitely need to be cleaned. Measurements are: Depth(extending from the wall) 9" Height 14" Width of wall bracket 4 1/2" Diameter of the metal round bottom opening where glass insert is located approx. 6" The wall sconce is quite heavy and it is offered in its as is condition. Vintage 1940's Ornate Italian Hall Lantern Porch Light Gothic Wrought Iron
For your consideration is this wonderful Italian hall lantern or porch light. From the 1940's. This light is in good condition, with all of it's original textured glass and all of the tabs to hold the glass in place. It is beautifully ornate with lots of wrought iron scroll work, all holding well, no broken pieces. The lantern is secured to the 5 3/4" canopy with the scroll work. It is 19 1/2" tall and 11 3/4" across including the scrollwork. The glass portion of the light is 8 3/4" tall. This light looks as though it did hang on a porch, it is not rusted but weathered and the black paint has some rainbow effect from being out in the weather. Antique Cast Iron Lot/2 Ceiling Wall Porch Light Fixture Globe Holder Vtg Pair
From a local estate. Here is a matching pair of antique ceiling or wall-mount light fixtures. Heavy cast iron, these measure about 5.75" across at the base, they extend 2 1/8" out from the wall not including the socket. Top opening inner diameter is about 3 3/8" so they will take a globe with a 3-3.25" opening. Decoration around the edges is geometric, more deco than nouveau. Condition is as found, to restore. Paint is probably original but there is significant paint loss and rust. Original sockets are included, they are free but the globe screws are stuck, I didn't try to remove them. The metal parts are solid, no weakness at all. A classic set and a solid start to a restoration project, hope you can use them. Please take a look at all of the photos above. Thanks for looking!
